Quite a simple but incredibly fun idea! It can get extremely chaotic after a while, but even with dozens of balls, it doesn't feel like I'm out of control.

Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed!

Liked how forgiving colliders were. Also, when ball could fall into the hole even when moving with the hole, it creates interesting moments, where you not only move to the safe spot, but you also must maneuver around balls it the way,

Speaking of a safe spot, not being able to put the hole near edges is really good idea. We all watched the DVD hitting the corner to know how rate hitting it is. And lastly when there are so many balls at once you can only guess which spot is safe and which not. So, it creates another nice challenge for the player.

Thanks for the review, I'm glad you enjoyed the game!

Oh this made for some really fun! Love how it just gets more chaotic and chaotic, but as you see where the balls are aiming and start to understand how the different types are aiming, it still leaves some space to play tactically, which worked wonderfully! And of course got enhanced by the wonderful jazz! Great job! :D (Got to 14!)

What a beautiful and clever game! I love the way it feels and plays.
The gameplay loop is creative and unique. The theming is out of this world
Well done! One of my favourites for the jam for sure

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed playing.

The game is fun but maybe a little bit repetitive.

However it's clear and it looks cool.

Good job !

Developer

Glad you enjoyed, thanks for playing!

Very nice! My only complaint is that the green backdrop border is a little too contrast -- I kept thinking that was a wall. It's also a cool idea that the balls can sink when you're moving the hole around, didn't notice that until I sunk 2 on my first attempt!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback and thanks for playing!

Very nice! The game gets pretty chaotic pretty quickly, with balls bouncing off of one another in ways that are hard to predict. Then there’s also the added challenge of avoiding balls while dragging around the pocket, so as not to inadvertently sink them while they aren’t even moving. That’s a surprising amount of depth from something so simple.

It’s also really quite polished! I love how the balls are animated. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s actually a 3D effect to keep the faces in the right locations, because it looks on point!

The only thing I wish was different is the game’s length. It becomes impossible to avoid all the balls way too quickly, and it doesn’t have a chance to get to the point where avoiding them all feels thrilling.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed the game. The balls use a shader to scroll the texture to give them that 3D effect. And you are right about the difficulty scaling, it can be a bit harsh. Perhaps post jam I can experiement with varying the amount of balls that spawn each round or something like that. Anyway thanks for playing!

I like your concept, and the art is simple but effective at communicating the game mechanics. I liked how you used the table as part of the UI. The gameplay is a pretty fun puzzler. Good job! :D

Opened this game, thinking it would be something like golf kind of game, where you dodge golf balls in real time (Nothing wrong with that, really)... And I was wrong!

Instead, this is a fun puzzle-ish game, where you need to change your position every move, calculating exactly where the ball will NOT hit! Such a fun concept!

Good job at making this game, it was an enjoyable experience!

I really loved the idea of this one, and it plays really great! I honestly cant believe that it had that much polish for a 48-hour jam. Amazing job, and check out my game if you have a chance :)

Developer

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed the game and appreciated the polish!

Simple and creative idea, had quite a bit of fun with it and got to round 15. I wonder if the ball directions are randomly generated or calculated to cover as much space as possible?

Developer

Thanks for playing! Each ball has slightly different properties, the 6, 8 and 2 balls all have their angle calculated randomly (but they fire at different speeds). The yellow 1 ball aims at the previous position your hole was in (to keep you on your toes)!

Round 12! I have to admit from the name and thumbnail I thought it was going to be another game about just moving the hole like reverse golf, but boy I was wrong! It quickly turned into quick thinking action of surveying the table to find a safe spot! Really really great, definitely top 20 for me

Developer

Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed!

Super addicting and such a simple concept. I thought I'd cracked it early on by just putting the hole as close as possible to a ball shooting the other way, but as soon as more balls started popping in I got 3 potted immediately and then spent far too long trying to beat my record. It's fun trying to avoid the balls while moving as well. Great job!

Very unique idea. Simple and well executed. It did get repetitive quite quickly but for 48 hours great work

Great arcade style game! Love how you can sink balls while you are moving, it adds more to the frantic gameplay. Clean artstyle, thought it was 2d till i saw the balls moving, very nice. Good job!

Developer

Glad you enjoyed the game! Actually, it is in 2D, I just use a shader to scroll the texture of the balls to give the effect that they're rolling!

Solid game, the concept is clear and I felt like I understood even the smaller details easily. We loved the sound design as well! Good game, good mechanical aspects, good fit for the theme!

Thanks for playing it on stream, I'm glad you enjoyed!
