Cool idea! I like your art. Very fun to play piano but so hard to me...I don't know maybe skill ussie. Tutorial not so good...maybe can be improve.
Thank you for playing and we appreciate the comments. In our heads, the tutorial was a lot more helpful than it turned out to be, so we're hard at work on making something more interactive and clear
Thanks for the feedback!
Salute to your dedication.
Super clever!
I had a lot of fun playing, its too difficult for me but i just need to git gud.
The only problem i had was the tutorial not displaying correctly the second time i tried to see.
Thanks for playing! Sorry you ran into that bug; there was an issue with playing the tutorial/level twice in a row which doubled the speed of everything. Fix will be live as soon as the jam is over :)
Hopefully you'll come back in a few days when it's patched and then you can really git gud!
Sure i will!
Really fun idea! I think it would feel a bit more intuitive to control if the keys were oriented vertically like in the game (or if the game was horizontal). Also, I didn't know when the game would end, after the music stopped. Overall I did enjoy the music, gameplay and art. Really good game :)
Thanks for the feedback! We definitely got a lot of comments about the orientation; while I admit I'm surprised, the two thoughts I have for possible future changes are letting the player choose what's most comfortable for them (could also help us transition to a mobile version) or just putting the controls right on-screen for a smoother experience!
Also, you encountered our bug which only happens if you beat the game on the first try, so nice work! We've got the fix for that already in our non-jam build, but unfortunately we missed it before we pushed :(
Thanks for playing!
Fun concept!
Nice take on rythem games which isn't as easy as it looks in the first place (and that's good!)
I like that you take time to read and respond to feedback too, it seems you take this seriously and want to succeed and that's great to see!
Good luck and nicely done :)
Thank you for your compliments on the game and on my engagement :)
This is my first jam, so I know that my team and I have a lot to learn for next year. It's been great getting to hear so much feedback from people who aren't biased the way friends and family will be.
Really appreciate you playing our game!
That's great to hear, hopefully you'll stick around for more jams :)
BTW there are a few more big jams, you don't have to wait for the next GMTK one.
Take a look at Ludom Dare, and Global Game Jam. Their next jams will probably occur before GMTK 2024, and they're with many people too - great place to get some nice feedback and recognition for your games.
Nice game, I really like the concept, though the game seemed to have no ending? And also it would be great if the notes were synced to the music, but that's just a nitpick, overall great game!
Thanks for the feedback! Yes, there’s a big that causes the level to play for twice the length of the song. If you reached the end of the song, consider yourself a winner! We did sync the speed with the BPM of the piece, but there are a couple places where the recording doesn’t actually play at a constant tempo.
In the future, we would love to implement more intentional note generation that will match up exactly.
Thanks for playing!
Glad to see you continue to work on the game! I think it might be more intresting if instead of syncing the notes to the BPM you sync it to the melody, might be a bit more intresting and less repetitive, regardless I'm excited to see the future of this game!
Love the polish you've put on this game and overall it's solid already. I found that the tutorial didn't actually teach me how to play, I was confused by the end of the tutorial haha. Maybe you need to pass the tutorial by completing tasks.
Thanks for the feedback- we would love to implement a more interactive tutorial. Glad you still enjoyed!
Loved the concept and the art was very nice. However, I had a really hard time getting into the game as the difficulty was quite high right off the bat. I wasn't able to practice properly due to being overwhelmed by the sheer amount of notes. That might well be a me problem.
The moments where I did get some flow were very fun though so I think there's real potential here with some kinder difficulty scaling ;)
Thanks for playing! I think the obvious solution will be to add a couple more tracks with different difficulty, maybe once the jam is over!
Very difficult but a really cool unique way to reverse the roles in a rhythm game -very fun and I liked the sound design and piano dudes art too -awesome work! :D
So glad you like the presentation, this was my first time making art for anything really, so it’s awesome that you liked it! Thanks for playing :)
Very hard haha maybe a little too much.... putting it vertically might help a bit and having speed adjustment for people just starting out.
Thanks for the feedback! Yes, I think in the future if we were to continue development, we might give the user the option to switch viewing modes. We definitely plan to put on-screen controls as well which will probably help.
This is really hard! A real brain challanger!
Like those games where you have to say the color not the word but x10 harder hahaha
Great entry and excecution :)
Also loved Ivory. He is just so wholesome.
Thanks so much for the feedback and compliments! I didn't even think about the parallel with the Stroop test like you said, that's a good point. Ivory loves you too!
I love Ivory, I want an Ivory in my house.
Ejhem, so, the game, I liked the game, very cool idea and the execution is good I think, although it needs some twaking. Reading other comments it seems to me you are very aware of that so not much more to say, congrats and I wanna play the game’s next build!!
Thank you so much for the positive feedback! As our programmer said "Knowing what's wrong and not being allowed to fix it is a special type of torture..." We have already updated on our unpublished build to address many of the concerns that have been raised so far, so definitely look out for that soon after the jam is officially over. Very glad you enjoyed, and Ivory loves you too!
Love this take on a rhythm game, very cool idea and novel controls!
Thank you so much! Really glad you enjoyed it :)
Wow I'm really bad at this hahahah. My high score is 7. Really enjoyed it tho. The game feels really clean and the artworks is great. Maybe the first 20 seconds of the game should be just a bit easier, but that might just be me being bad at the game :D
Definitely not just you! We are experimenting on an unreleased build with some kind of grace period at the start- it was difficult to implement without messing up the beats per minute of the song, but we definitely agree that this would be a good feature going forward. Glad you enjoyed!
This game is pretty interesting, but I think I had a bug : the music stopped midway through the level so it felt a bit lonely. It's a shame you couldn't fix the few bugs in time but it's still a really cool game.
Thanks for playing, and congrats on beating the game first try! That bug only happens when you beat the game on the first attempt, so if you want to try a harder version that ends at the right time, the bug fix is to run the tutorial first, and then play. Sorry for the bug, but really glad you enjoyed!
Creative idea! Also the art is very cute. Only downside is, as a long time rhythm game player I found this very hard and I think the reason was the fact that it was horizontal, so my brain couldn't map qwert with vertical lines. Cool game nonetheless!
Thanks for playing! I think it would’ve been cool if we could have even given players the option to choose vertical or horizontal. On-screen controls is another big one we plan to add.
Thanks for your feedback!
This a really cool concept, I struggled at first and didn't thing I'd be able to get the hang of it, but on sticking with it a while I started to do a lot better and had a good time, great job!
Thanks for the note! I’m glad you stuck with it and got through the learning curve- just remember, sometimes musicians make mistakes!
It is first game where use music for gameplay, good
Thanks, glad you enjoyed! The music selection was honestly one of the hardest parts of making the game lol
I found this game very well polished but I have to admit it was a little too easy. When I read the comments, it looks like there are more players that found the game to be too hard.
I understand how difficult is must be to balance such a game. Sadly, you didn't have enough time to build more difficulty levels (easy, intermediate, hard for example)
The art is beautiful, the music is beautiful, the gameplay just works super good. Bravo for this entry, it's one of the very good games of this jam, imo.
Thank you for your thoughtful comments! We were a little surprised with how difficult many have found it, and we really would’ve liked more time to make more levels for some difficulty scaling. Thanks for playing!

Seems like you got the point haha!
Thanks for playing, we really enjoyed your game a lot!
