Good quality of projects. Great use of game mechanics around the theme.

Cool! Nice Zelda like puzzle game. The music and artstyle feel spot on, and it's impressive to me how many mechanics you guys managed to fit into the time span of the jam. I also appreciate the tutorialisation, always adds alot of quality to a game. The character remaining either small or large when going to the next room was interesting too; something i can imagine has a lot of interesting puzzle possibilities to it. In terms of level design, i like the showcase of the many mechanics, but i felt like there was still some potential there with the interplay of growing big/getting small within one room to solve a puzzle (this mostly for potential future continuinations of the game ofcourse).

Some things of note: there was one level where the surveilance camera's caught me through a wall, and there was another level where it seems like i skipped through the entire room by just walking through the spikes on the bottom while small. That being said, I have very little to critique.

Overal, very well done! I enjoyed the puzzles, the style and the music alot.

Hey Kimzalabim!

Glad you enjoyed it! We really wanted to avoid the 'small guy go in small area' trope as we felt like that would be something thats going to be done a lot in a jam like this

with the interplay - its something that I wanted to really work on - at the time the other designer had been locked out of their github account so it was mostly up to myself to design the puzzles  as well as the coding for all of the mechanics haha. I would love to play with the idea more with the team and expand upon the idea more with them to explore more complex puzzles!

As for the camera - I will patch this out as soon as I am able to! along with the feedback from the rest of the comments!

The button room is a funny one. I had built it in a way that seemed complex but if the user had paid attention to how the spikes had worked they could just walk out!

Thanks for the feedback! its super appreciated!

I think you guys succeeded in doing something cool with it!

Oh yeah, that sounds tough. For the amount of time you guys had, this really is not a criticism!

Cool idea for that room. It felt like I cheated, but thats a cool little reward for sure :)

Will you  guys work on this in the future?

Really quality entry! Especially liked how your current size impacted your relationship with each obstacle, stuff like water being both useful and a hazard depending on context. Only crit would be the movement feels *slightly* too sensitive at times, the one level with the spikes triggering in order was really the only place it was an issue though. lovely spritework and soundtrack as well, great job to the whole team!

Developer

Hey LeslieLlama!
Super glad that you liked it!

I will be adjusting the movement when the jam has finished up :) I guess its one of these things that I just ended up getting used to while play testing?

Appreciate the feedback regardless!

Loved the style of this one! Though sometimes I couldn't use the grow/shrink mechanic? And I got stuck a few levels in. Not sure if that was intended >.<

Developer

Hey Gabnificent!

You only have limited uses of grow and shrink per room :) it's displayed at the bottom of the game

Oh! Okay, that makes sense ^^; Must've missed that

Love the music and art, very cute. Gameplay wise I like the concept but I felt like I never needed to use my brain, could have used a couple more well thought out puzzles.

Great game! I really love the art and the audio. Although I think the the collider should be a little bit more forgiving ( I got hit by just a tiny amount a lot). Mà ông là người Việt phải k?

Developer

Hey codebender! I am not Vietnamese haha

I will be updating the game to have a bit more forgiving colliders after the jam!

Glad you enjoyed it regardless!!

Fantastic game, controls felt fluid and snappy, the concept is well executed, levels are well-designed, it's visually appealing too, and the fast paced audio really adds to the experience.

This game is awesome! I could see it being released on Steam as is! The only thing I would change is some of the hitboxes for enemies aren't super clear. Otherwise, outstanding job!!

Developer

Hey Austin!

Honestly the team and I would consider putting this up for sale on steam but I would probably want to add way more content!
I did plan to update the build after the jam to tighten up the hitbox's to make them a bit more forgiving too

Glad you enjoyed yourself!
