The aesthetic is amazing, so is the creativity of the idea, though I commonly found myself asking the question of "What even hit me!?" as the bullets were so small and quite difficult to spot sometimes, the health and shield wasn't really explained in game and if it was I was too busy smashing earth. The main thing I'd say is if the moon grew a load of tentacles, we're are pretty much doomed, yet I was always dying on that part due to the busyness of the screen at that point. Overall it was an amazing experience and I really do want to come back to it and finish destroying earth!

Love the premise of this. That opening cutscene was both hilarious and pretty scary

The audio though, absolute perfection. Gave me a sense of unease for the destruction that was being caused and the smash effects felt damn good. The visuals as a whole were amazing as well.  I loved seeing the different phase of the moon so to speak.

Like everyone else, I felt like things about how the actual mechanics of the game worked could've been communicated better. But along with that, I felt like the actual implementation and execution of the mechanics could've been better.

For instance, I think having to collect the pieces of the earth you broke off of it to make yourself grow more, but also shield yourself from rockets and bullets is a pretty cool example of dual-purpose design, but giving the player only 1 HP is unnecessarily punishing, especially when you're definitely going to end up in situations where you can't move much and there's tons of bullets and rockets coming at you. I think it would be better if the player had 3 HP just to prevent frustration, or the fire rate of the towers that spawn bullets could be reduce a little, just to give a player more space to actually move.

Similiarly, I also love how slamming the earth makes waves which you can use to shield yourself and also take out turrets. But the problem here is that I'm still not sure how to actually create them. In this regard, you could probably have the player hold the slam button to charge a slam and then release to slam. This way, depending how long the player holds the button, you can spawn waves of different sizes that also travel different distances or something ( eg : If a player just taps the button, a decent sized wave is spawned that just travels only a little and then dissipates. Whereas if they hold it long enough and then release, they create the largest possible wave which travels a long distance ). This would also allow them to be able to dodge, since they'd be controlling when exactly they'd slam as well. I say this because the player character really needs more control on his mobility.

All that said, I think you guys still managed to make a good game here none the less. Kudos to the entire team

The game is extremely beautiful and inviting, the premise is interesting and the atmosphere is great, but I couldn't figure out how to play properly because of some communication issues. Would love to see another round of polish on this one!

Love the visuals, the music, the overall mood! I often had a bug when everything freezed (on the web browser) but it didn't impac too much – awesome entry :)

Cool and simple mechanism. Love arts and animations. I feel that it is too easy to die, however, every time I restart the game, the longer I manage to survive.  Maybe next time I will eat the Earth ^ ^

love this game so much ,so good game art and mood , keep playing for a long time to see what will happen ,wish fore more content to play

Great game! Exception style, atmosphere and storytelling.
I do think it's a little too brutal. You never now when the debris you collect will give you one more HP or will make you grow and loose all but 1 health point.

Awesom art style and color palette, the slam is super satisfying! Awesome job!

Really unique game with a great style. Couldn't play it for very long because it kept freezing and crashing after my moongirl grew one size. However if it ever gets more stable I am excited to play more. :)

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Completely understandable! We do recommend playing the windows version as it is more stable. Thank you for checking out the game!!

I like the style and the music, just can't figure out how to dodge the rockets? I keep dying to them all the time.

Developer(+2)

Thank you so much!!
For dodging you have two options: you can slam down at just the right moment to avoid hitting them and move as you rise or use the waves generated from slamming/growing to eradicate them.
We do plan to release a patch and balance the game more based on all the feedback we've gotten. While we did intend the challenge, we do see where we could've been more clear about things.  We appreciate the feedback though!! :D

The visuals are just off the charts with this one. Wow.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! We all did our best to figure out the right style <3

Thank you!! Means a ton that you enjoyed the game!!

I'm more into saving the earth but this is pretty cool. Love the art style!

Developer(+2)

Thank you!! We do as well but sometimes a break from the usual can be fun :D

Good game, big mimic brother!

Thank you, mimic bro!!

Really quite cool, but I had some trouble figuring out what was/wasn't hurting me: particularly what was going on with the waves. Didn't detract from my enjoyment though, just meant I didn't get all too far in it haha

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

hey!! Thanks for playing!! Waves, these act as a way to clear enemies/buildings threatening to attack you. Think of it as a way to plan your slams so you also clear out any oncoming projectiles from spawning. When you grow, you get a large tide that can be shifted to either direction and clear enemies. Looking back, we do see where this was lost for players, so we intend to release a patch just to make the game clearer and more enjoyable.

art is very nice, the concept clicked immediately, it was just a bit too hard for me to dodge the missiles :)

Developer(+1)

hey thanks a bunch, and noted!! We'll see what we can do next patch to make them less OP haha

Submitted(+4)

Cool but a bit hard to play. Maybe having more freedom with the movement might help, it's quite hard to dodge the missiles. The quality of the art is impressive, you put a massive work into it. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Feel ya. We had a lot of discussion about difficulty, so we plan to release a patch shortly to make the game more enjoyable and clearer for players based on all the feedback. Thank you so much for playing!!

Submitted(+5)

Very Nice ! I didn't immediatly understood that I had to take piece of the earth to grow, but when I understand it, it was very fun to play. The visuals are also very well done !

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much!! We're glad you had fun with it <3

Submitted(+5)

A really cool game concept! I resonate with the presentation and the vibe of cosmic horror so damn much :3

my only complaint is that the moon feels too frail, especially after growing in size, and since with the limited movement options it is quite difficult to always dodge everything

Developer(+2)

I totally understand! We wanted to make the game fairly challenging so it wasn't too easy to win, and this was the easiest version we settled on. Despite that, we plan to release a patch to make the game more enjoyable and balanced for players. I definitely would love to make people feel like they're a monster wrecking havoc, its a both liberating and fun!! We really appreciate the feedback, so please look forward for future updates! <3
