Art style is top notch! Gameplay is fun and challenging!
Really glad that you enjoyed it!
Good polish and the game had a fun feel to it, but the puzzles felt somewhat weak
Glad you enjoyed the game! The puzzles definitely needed a bit more polish time for sure but hopefully it worked as a concept! :)
Honestly, really adorable game. great job!
Thanks so much for playing! <3
Very enjoyable premise, art style, and main mechanic. Would shlorp again.
Thank you very much! Shlorp as much as you need haha
What a great level of detail gone into this. I'm extremely impressed and had a blast playing.
Thanks so much! We tried to pack it with as much *finesse* as we could in the couple of days we had :>
Really cute little game! The only thing I missed is a reset button. Otherwise really good ^^
You can press R to reset a level :) I've added a controls section to the game description to help too. I think we missed the reset button on our small tutorial at the beginning of the game. Thanks! :D
Oh my bad, then I have nothing to criticize :D
The art and cinematics are amazing! The game mechanics is so well done too! I really like the game!
Thanks so much for playing! :D
cool idea and great execution ! I’ll take some ideas on how to quickly explain the rules and how to play :) good job!
Thank you so much for giving our game a go! :>
The mechanic is cool! Also love the art and the open. Its amazing!
Thank you so much and thanks for playing! :D
Wow this looks really good, and the main mechanic is cool. Love the ending as well! Some levels were a bit frustrating (2 and 7 mainly) and I did not really like how the jump worked, but this game is really polished and had some cool ideas! The highlighting effects were also really clear.
Thanks so much for playing! We just ran low on time when it came to polishing each level and the physics but I'm glad you enjoyed it anyways! :>
Really cool idea and the artisctic execution is really cute. With such an ambitious idea, you may always run into some issues with hitboxes overlapping and generally it being a bit janky. However, I found it to actually be enjoyable, the creativity with the levels and mechanics is epic!
Thank you very much for giving the game a go! Really glad you enjoyed it!
The voiceover and cutscene was a cinematic masterpiece. The idea was nice, but I felt like the way I solved the levels was by cheesing a mechanic or something. Didn't know if I was meant to do it this way or not, and it felt janky this way. Other than that, great game!
:D
I may have gotten sick of listening to my own voice within about 30 seconds of recording it but I'm really glad you enjoyed it! We did run a little low on time when we were doing level iterations to iron out the kinks. Physics :d
This game is unironically phenomenal and by saying that I truly mean it. The idea behind it was extremely good and it got put and designed in a great way! I love this one!
:0 Amazing, thank you so much! I'm glad that you enjoyed it! You'll probably be jealous of the knowledge that we have a designated Toni blinking emote on Discord now as well then :p
In terms of the gameplay, I think it's one of the best games to use the theme effectively. If you had just like a slight push button and maybe a bit more responsive jumping/landing on objects, it'd be very fun and smooth to play. The growing/shrinking ray is very satisfying and I was amazed when you redirect it toward yourself off the ceiling for a solution. I think in the beginning narration there are mouse clicks from the recording left in. This game has just enough shlorp.
A bump mechanic would have been quite cool to implement! We ran a little low on time when it came to level iterations near the submission time. All these damn jobs getting in the way of our time developing fun stuff haha
This game was so well made! I was actually shocked when I opened it to a cutscene!? Thoroughly enjoyed my playthrough, well done :)
Cheers my guy! We had a pretty well rounded team so we just juiced every aspect that we could haha
Great game! ending was cool :)
Did you shrink my face? I think you shrank my face :0
i really love this, the art is adorable and the animation of the wizard is very cute, love the opening cutscence
gameplay wise, it's great, i like how you have to use mirrors bounce the grow beam, and how most level puzzle solution just, mess around with the physics till it works, the few levels where you have to grow yourself are great too
altho, physics games usually have the problem of being unpredictable and buggy this game has that but it didn't bother me enough to ruin the experience
Really glad that you liked the game! Physics games can go a little awry at times but we tried to limit that as much as possible here haha
i love the slorping mechanic. very creative and interesting concept and very nice art and voicing. this game made me slorp in my pants
Thank you!! :D
I LOVED the story and cutscene, though I would like the game to tell you that restart with R is an option. I didn’t read the description, and I just kept skipping the levels.
Yes, we added the = and M options with 5 minutes before the deadline, and when we realised R was missing it was too late!
voiceover narration in a game jam game. that's a first!
really delightfully silly game with some clever ideas. the platforming is a little unreliable and made the rougher levels worse. i think that without the physics issues, the level design would actually come across as pretty smart. nice work :)
Ah physics - So unreliable! It needed a bit more testing for sure. We just ran low on time.
Glad you enjoyed it though! :D
