Beautiful game, very nice sound design, and great tutorial.  I don't feel like it nails the theme, but it's definitely a very complete and well-made game.  Nice work!

Developer

Thank you for the kind words! It means a great deal!

We admit the theme link is more tenuous than some other ideas. We iterated over a dozen character/environment scaling ideas and entertained a few musical / mountain climbing ideas but we weren't vibing them so we decided to go something that brought us joy, even if it didn't fit the theme quite so well.

Teaches the game mechanics very  gently , I like this.

Developer

Thank you! We were worried about the tutorial, so I'm glad that you liked it!

Wow this game was so fun and unique! The visuals are SO impressive and cohesive, and you do a great job of leading the player in and scaling up the complexity! I was never lost/confused, and I really enjoyed seeing how quickly I could adapt to the recipes! Very polished :)

Developer

Wow, thank you! This was such lovely feedback! We always worry that the game is too difficult to understand, so comments like this mean a lot to us!

This is really fun! great aesthetics, and great music!

The game is amazing, you guys did an amazing work in terms of mechanics and polish. Great work ! We will for sure see your game in the top 100 !

Thank you, that's super high praise! We hope so too, we're really proud of this year's entry!

Very cool vibe, and cosy. I ended up playing more than I thought because I was simply sucked in. Good job!

Developer

That's a lovely comment, thank you! We're really happy with how cozy it ended up becoming!

The art so attracting. This reminds me of all those VR games.

Developer

The team has worked on some VR games before, and yet it didn't occur to any of us that it could be quite fun to play in a headset! Good observation, thank you!

Very cool 👍

Thank you, glad you liked it!

Really nice fantasy tabletop aesthetic and music

Unfortunately the game lags pretty badly for my machine when playing on web. Also, I couldn't go full screen. These too together made it quite a bit more difficult trying to play it fast.

Developer

I'm sorry to hear that. The download version should solve both those issues, as well as going for the cozy mode to take your time with it. I hope you were able to enjoy it otherwise!

Excellent style and idea.

I especially love the interpretation of the theme of the complexity of the gameplay scaling.

Developer

Thank you very much! I would say that this was one of the harder themes to design around, but I'm happy with what we came up with! Glad to hear you liked it too!

I love thje colors in this game, it's so vibrant without bein too overwhelming, very well done. The vibe and aethetics are on point too. Give me any game with magic/alchemy shenanigans and I eat it upp.

Developer

Thank you for the lovely comment! With the colours being so important, I'm glad that they read well!

I really like that the pausing allows you to see the recipes and stops the timer,  makes that difficulty more possible. this is really polished for such a simple premise, really nice1

Developer

We were getting a lot of feedback that the book was hard to read, which was a big worry of ours. I'm glad that you found the pause feature though, as it seems to get lost in the tutorial. And thank you for the kind words, glad you enjoyed it!

Alchemy is my fav! Really cool use of the tiles and the timed mode is really hard after the 1st potion set!

Developer(+1)

Yes, we like Alchemy too! The timed mode had a really hectic feel to it, and you need to spend earlier rounds preparing extra vials where you can! Thank you for the comment!

Submitted(+1)

Loved the look and feel, really well done!

Wow, such an amazing entry. The atmosphere is truly magical! Beautiful visuals. You can see a lot of work and love went into this project. Awesome job!

Developer

Aww, thank you, that's so sweet! We also poured a lot of coffee and takeaway into it too! :P

Everything is so pretty, I played at my own pace and it was really nice !!

Developer

Thank you! I like playing the cozy version too!

This table looks so comfy! I loved all the details in the witchy decor and how the book had this smokey texture. Flipping the pages back and forth really did make me feel like I was following a recipe - I think I only would have liked was to see the book more clearly in phase 2. Awesome work!

Developer

Thank you, we put a lot of effort into those parts of the environment, so it means a lot that it's noticed! And yes, we did struggle a bit with the book. We implemented a camera focus on it, but the tutorial for that gets kinda lost with everything else in there. Glad you had fun!

Submitted(+1)

Very polished game, loved the book menu and tutorial. And the idea of making things and use those things to make better things it rocks. Maybe the vials are a little to complex for my brain so i would have loved those to be a little more easier. Really liked this game, great entry!

Developer(+1)

Yes, it can be a bit tricky to wrap your head around it, but we find that you soon get into a nice groove, especially in Cozy mode. I'm glad you enjoyed it, thank you!

Submitted(+1)

really cozy game! I liked the style and music :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! It was super hectic until we added the option to remove the timer, and now it has a totally different vibe. Glad you enjoyed it!
