Very nice graphics and music
I do like crafting games, and the shop quests seems interesting
My only issue would be that there's a lack of incentive to precraft/stash items. It was probably due to the mythic buff I picked up by day 2, but the gameplay became extremely easy

We balanced for the easy side for the Jam.
Cute economics game! I really liked your dragon drawings.
Puns for the win :D Really cute game - took me a sec to figure out the crafting mechanic, but once I did it was too late to earn the gold needed hahaha. I had fun though! I like the crafting/quest setup - it adds a nice counter to the harvesting. I also like the implementation of the like buff cards after each day. Nice work!
always love a good pun! Love the art style as well!
Very nice game, great work!
really enjoyed it! the strategy you end up needing to follow when crafting items could use a bit more nuance, but the game was well balanced overall
Could you elaborate on what you mean by nuance?
yep, sure. I felt that the process of deciding which items to craft was a bit straightforward: you craft the most expensive item in the shop that you can craft, then you move to the second most expensive, and so on. At least that's what I found myself doing, but on second thoughts it might be because I didn't really focus on optimizing a particular resource when picking cards at the day's end
Ah, that makes sense. That is probably because we went for an easy difficulty for the Jam, so the decisions have as much of an impact. Also, the customer system was designed to be slightly different, but with the time constraint, and having 2/3rds of the programmer leave midway through without contributing, thankfully we had one join on the last day to get it over the finish line, we had to cut a lot of polish and features.
Oof, that sounds rough. It's definitely an ambitious concept, I'm glad you were able to finish the game despite the setbacks. Again, looks great!
Cool interpretation of the theme! Also kinda complex game, nice
very interesting idea with good execution!
The difficulty curved well with the powerups to always make it seem impactful and challenging. The game gets a little repetitive at the end. Very well done!
art style is really cute
Very nice visuals and sound! I liked how the cards accumulated over time and lets the player snowball the resources and money.
Simple but still fun. Presentation was top notch
Great visuals, the artists did a good job. I think that the game play loop could fleshed out more with some sort of skill based challenge like a mini game to collect resources. Also a tutorial would be nice, but I figured out how to play just fine. Great job!
It would be awesome if you could give me feedback too: https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2024/rate/2903767
What a cute cozy little game! Absolutely gorgeous art style and very satisfying sound effects. One piece of feedback would be instead of having the random bonus cards, maybe instead let players buy them with gold? Would be a fun challenge trying to balance between having enough money for quests while getting upgrades
We had the plan for both, but we decided it would be more fun to have the random upgrades to make the difficulty more casual.
Makes sense, definitely fun regardless
the concept is simple once you get things going but I had a lot of fun!!
focused my economy on selling just the scales, not crafting :)
congrats for the great game!
Fantastic game! I loved the gameplay loop and every aspect. The music fit the gameplay perfectly and the art style looked awesome. Would love to see this game develop further.
This is an awesome gameplay loop that can SCALE
What an amazing game! I was so sad when the victory screen appeared and I couldn't play anymore.
I loved the art style and the simple gameplay.
My only suggestion would be to have a way to see your upgrades, even if they don't change much, it still confused me at the start.
This was super cool. I'd love to play this as a full game so keep working on it!
