Extremely well looking game, the art-style looks awesome and the gameplay is fun and enjoyable, well done!
I found some glitched with the physics or something where honeycombs would just flip entirely in place despite being the same color but aside from that it was pretty fun
Ah, sorry to hear you ran into that bug; didn't have time to squash it before submitting. Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for playing!
Cute Art rly relaxing, this was really fun :)
Thanks for playing!
I was able to play it on my phone! It was nice being able to kick back on the couch and play. I did notice that same color cells stick together but I didn't really capitalize on it. I'll have to play again to see if I can do better.
We've been talking about how this is definitely the kind of game people will want to play on their phones haha; we actually plan to see if we can make a mobile version of it! Thanks for playing :)
cute art really enjoyed
Glad you liked it, thanks for playing!
Love the whole feel of the game, really cute. The art is fantastic and the gameplay itself is very fun and quite addicting, had me replaying for a bit!
Thank you for playing, so glad you enjoyed! :)
Cool take on the stacking game "genre"! I got surprised by my honeycombs suddenly sticking together, but once I got the idea, it was easy to get a hang of, although I wish it had a snapping feature. Also, not sure if this was intended, but I also noticed that you can sometimes "merge" honeycombs together and glitch them to overlap. Aside from that, if you guys have the time, we'd appreciate if you could also take a look at our game < 3
Sounds like you may have encountered the one known bug we couldn't squash in time; occasionally if you place pieces next to each other, they'll get into a funky state where they magnet to the wrong area and cluster up. Hope it wasn't too intrusive, thanks for playing! Will check yours out if I get a chance.
This game is seriously a blast! I love how many options there are for how to construct the hive. I had some success just building a line and trying my best to counterbalance each side as I went. I also love the visual when the honeycombs overlap eachother slightly. It's nothing huge but it's really satisfying to look at as the tower gets more and more elaborate.
Fun fact, the overlap effect was initially an unintended side effect of how we masked out our hex pieces. We loved it so much that we decided not to fix it 😂 Glad you appreciate it too, thanks for playing!
I enjoyed playing this game, and it looks very clean.
Thanks for playing!
A gorgeous, fun to play game - really well done! The music is upbeat, without being too distracting when building the 'hive-rise', it was really enjoyable!
The art itself is very gorgeous, and props for using both colour-coding and symbols to differentiate the different comb types, a nice accessibility bonus!
I'm so glad the symbols didn't go unnoticed! I was worried they might be a bit too small to really serve as an indicator, but we wanted to do what we could for accessibility in such a limited time. Thank you for playing!
Super fun and visually stunning! Loved the tower stacking.
Thank you so much!
22.2m high and i am NOT metagaming but i had fun trying to stack the largest jankiest tower in a gravity-based tetris sorta thing :D
Lol, we love janky hives in this house 💖 Thanks for playing, Darius!
Amazing game, by far the game i've played the most from all i've rated. Gorgeous art and sound design, super cozy gameplay. You guys are pretty good making games!
We're glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much :)
The art style is really cool. I love the honeycomb background. It's the subtle attention to detail stuff like that that can really make a game's visuals pop. The UI transitions are also really smooth and professional looking. The whole game has a cohesive whimsical and fun vibe. Impressive amount of work for a game jam.
Thanks! I’m glad it feels polished - and here I was worried about how some of the menus don’t have transition animations lol
Man, our game doesn't even have a gameplay loop. Hell, the first submission didn't have an exit button and we're a team of three lol.
I want more BEES! Cute concept but a little confusing at first. Art was really cute and the music was relaxing. Nice job!
I also want more bees haha. Ran out of time to do more than the essentials for gameplay, but we plan on adding more polish after voting closes for GMTK. Thanks for playing!
the deck building part was a nice addition !
Thanks! We enjoyed working on how to integrate it into a game like this! We're thinking about adding a bit more complexity to the next version with more unique cards.
That's a nice game! Good job!
Thanks!
love the art style. enjoyed the chill vibes of the game. the stacking mechanic is satisfying as well. really nice job!
Thanks! We’re really happy with how it turned out. 🎉
That was a lot of fun to play! The the art was great, the mechanics were smooth and understandable, and the music complimented it well!
I was able to try a couple of different strategies, I almost hit 80m (like 77.7) then everything collapsed. Thank you for making this!
That's a really good run! You almost made it to the win screen. Thanks for playing! 💖
Really fun game, very satisfying when you precariously balance something and it actually stays up! Cute art style too. Great entry!
Thanks!
Thank you! 💖
The music is a bit too compressed but I like the idea of building a big honey comb.
Thanks for the feedback! Hoping to make some tweaks once the judging period ends, we'll take a look at the compression
