I really like it, but the difficulty curve is insane

This is a really creative idea. The visuals are well polished, and the gameplay is really fun.
I think difficulty ramps up pretty quickly, and you can easily find yourself in a situation where you can keep up and snowball into 0 hp.
I think the fact that you need to click on enemies, but also move your mouse to place blocks and turrets contributes to it. Maybe adding some hotkeys would be a good idea. Also later on it’s easy to lose a turret just after placing it, and end up without any scrap. And I feel that the 2nd turret is weaker than the 1st one.
The rules for block placement can sometimes be frustrating, if you try to place a block in a hurry. There at least needs to be a clearer indication if you can place a block. And tbh the original tetris rules would be a better idea - place blocks wherever, but they fall down.
But overall, this is an amazing entry!
thank you for the detailed review!! the difficulty is definitely the weakest part of the game, i wasn't able to balance it properly until the last minute... hotkeys and better block placement indicators were def considered but my code was very dumb so i didn't really have time to revamp it, i'll definitely include them when i expand this game!
Great concept and well executed. With some tweaks to make it playable for a long period without melting your clicking hand and you’d have some special here!

Cool! Creative idea combining the different mechanics. It was on the harder side for me all right. I never got far enough to afford the third gun. I admit I didn't pick up any sort of strategy. I just threw blocks wherever they would fit and clicked as fast as I could on the strongest alien. I like the idea about a pause between waves. That would give me a chance to think about what I was doing. Nice presentation: the graphics have a very distinctive feel. My high score was 3970.
yea, the third gun (which is basically a 3-way spread shot) used to be dead easy to buy in earlier builds, so for the latest one i just upped the price to balance it out. unfortunately i didn't have time to test if players would even be able to buy it at all, i realized it too late... ;-; ur comment about there not being any strategy is interesting, i'll think about that, and i'll def consider a pause between waves. thank u for playing!!
Extremely fun game! I wish it was a little easier at times, at a certain point there are so many enemies that you cannot keep up, and if they destroy your turrets you pretty much can't recover. Those are just nitpicks though, the game is really polished and well-rounded for being made in 4 days :)
yea, the difficulty balancing was very late into development (let's say a few hours before deadline ;-;) so it gets very difficult really quickly. definitely something i should consider fixing after the jam. thank u for playing!!
7925 was my high score! Very nicely done. I wish I had a little more room to breath, but style is great, and gameplay is addicting and super cool

It's like space invaders + tetris + tower defense in all the right ways. Very frantic and fun!

if you do update it, please consider making click-mashing optional or that you can hold the left-click to attack; my hand ends up hurting after having to click so fast

Great game! I was really impressed with the Tetris block placement, and the strategy of prioritizing what to protect. Although, I would appreciate more breathing room in-between waves.
