i like the idea of having to decrease the die values to kill them, as well as the punishment that comes from making their values too high or low! same goes with having to kill the dice-centipede by sorting the dice in order, though it gets a bit difficult to dodge them later on. all in all, it's a cool take on the theme!

Took me a little bit to figure out. Would have helped if I had any reading comprehension whatsoever, lol. Once I did though, I thought this game was great! Music was absolutely fire too! Great work!

Well there are definitely a lot moire gambling dice than I would've expected.  Though they're some very weird bug dice.

Anyway as for the review bit I would say it's an interesting setup, a nice setting and some cool mechanics.  Kinda similar to a game I played and 2quite enjoyed in a past jam which is always cool to run into again.  It's a interesting setup though to work with 2 essentially "resources" I guess against enemies.  Though, some sort of limitation could maybe add more variety on that front or it could be super difficult.  So maybe not.

The main thing I would say as feedback though is that the enemies are really big compared to the player.  Especially the "straight-i-pede"'s with their map covering potential, which to be fair, does mix it up a decent amount since they essentially become a map obstacle.  And maybe you could lean into that?  since they don't rotate, they could possibly pop into and out of the map, or into and out of the ground etc.  That w3ay they become more of a hazard and less of a moving map blocker for example.

One small QoL thing I would say though is some more visible cues as to when you have your dash back would definitely help.  Due to the fact that right now there's not really any feedback on that.  You're sort of just stuck waiting to see if it will work or not.  Whether that's a flash of the character or some visual icon on the HUD etc.

I like the idea a lot! The mechanic is fun and the gameplay is quite fast paced later on.

love the visuals and the concept! i like how making a die's number go above 6 makes it charge you, adds a neat punishment for messing up!

Nice game!  Loved the art, and the angry chase whenever you put something too far over/under was fun

I really liked the art on this one. It took me a few tries to get the hang of shooting the dice to be right value. The centipede enemies really throw you for a loop. At one point there were 4 on screen and I buckled under the pressure.

This is a really fun take on the theme, and the dice bugs will haunt me lol. I really like the bullet type mechanic and how that effects the player interactions with enemies. The animation work across the board looks great, the game sounds wonderful, and there is a good amount of feedback for the player. As other reviewers have mentioned the rage effect is awesome. All in all, a great experience.

Really fun game, and I loved the characters. The enraged effect is super satisfying and I would trigger it just to hear it and try to dodge it! I'm not a huge fan of twin sticks, but I genuinely enjoyed playing this game!

Love the character design. I feel like the straight-o-pedes are hard to hit.

Clever idea, the mix of the simple enemies with the trickier straight-o-pedes makes for engaging variety. The game looks, sounds, and plays good. Nice job!

Really great interpretation of the theme! Had a very arcadey feel. Great job! Played at https://twitch.tv/hedgein <3

Hehe, really fun idea and I loved the dice going berserk and blendering me to a pulp :D

I like this game! The movement and shooting feel good, and I love the unconventional way of killing enemies. I think the animation is well done as well. Great job!

The games pretty fun! Giving the players two different actions to change the dice is a really nice touch instead of just making it just X many times to kill. The dashing is nice for more player agency although the range can be reduced a bit since its easy to dash away from an enemy into another one that spawns. The metal guitar felt a bit off with the vibes from the game since it was more calculations as opposed to pure killing though. Typically also expect explosions, knockback and sfx to complete that sort of music vibe but its a jam game, understandable its not here.

I like how you set up certain rules to defeat different kinds of enemies. There were lots of reading required the first time I played the game, but it was easy to get the hang of it.

Good job!

Cool idea, presentation is nice retro style, music is cool, mechanic could be a little hard to understand first, but is still very interesting. Going beyond 1 or 6 makes enemies rage, which makes me panic). Very nice!

Very nice game. The mechanic is simple to understand, yet it feels really fun. Art and music were on point. A nice addition would be for the character to look at the mouse direction, but I really enjoyed this game!

This was fun.  once I got the hang of the different fire modes and the pushing the dice up and down to kill the enemies I got in the zone and started racking up kills.  Those spider dice are the stuff of nightmares. Good work.

Fun little Top down Shooter. Neat little twist on the dice mechanics. Was way to hard for an olf fart like me. Needs some improvement like locking the player in camera (or lock the camera on player). But not a bad game for a 2nd game jam. Good Job!
