Game Description
Your role is to maintain the shrine, ensure the spirits receive their offerings, and expand the shrine to attract more visitors.

How does your game tie into the theme?
The shrine is full of spirits and ghosts. We wanted to make more and add more story but had not enough time. :(

A nice game to play on the side when working on things, I really liked the art and music! I did get a bit confused when trying to leave the shrine area, there appeared to be an invisible wall, so I wasn't sure if that was something we unlock later on or if that was the intention? Otherwise great job!

Very cool idea, looks great and the sound design is nice as well, over all the tone is super polished. Gameplay is a little bit lacking, I wish there was more to do that didn't cost gold, and the night is a bit too long so there is a lot of waiting. Seems like y'all had more planned but didn't have time, which is very relatable haha. Over all a really cool idea and really cohesive in terms of tone

Was enticed to pay cause the art looked interesting! I think its funny how I was immediately thrown into a world of strange frog people waddling around hehe. The music and sound effects are lovely, and im curious how you managed to achieve the subtle swaying of the flora in the area, I think it is a very nice touch. The timer running in the top corner gives me anxiety cause I didn’t know what to do haha. There’s a path in the bottom right that seems to be intended to be blocked off, I think adding a visiable barrier would be nice. I think the shrine gold value was obscured, so I wasn’t sure why it was prompting but didn’t have interaction at first. Sometimes I would see a prompt but when I press E nothing happens:

I just noticed I just noticed the little sundial things and the frog croak easter egg which I love. I played until I cleaned up all the shrines and I guess the game progression kinda stopped there. I agree with the previous commenter about the wait being a bit long, and would like a time speed up button.

Overall it was a calm and lovely expereince, and the characters were endearing. Keep up the good work!

Graphics, music and the mood were really great. I enjoyed that alot.

Maybe I did something wrong, but getting enough gold to expand the shrine took way too long. I enjoyed the atmosphere, so I stuck around a lot longer than I normally would have, but there is a lot of nothing. I checked the ghosts and gave them the items or didn't have them. Done. Time to wait. I collected the items and gold. Time to wait.

It's very well executed, very well done, great atmosphere, but the waiting...

I wanted more of a tutorial/lead into what to do. I enjoyed the art and audio quite a bit. I think this project has a lot of potential.

I see frog game, I click!
Very nice! once I understood what to do it was fun, though waiting out the night cycles when you don't have anything to offer the spirits I feel could be reworked, perhaps for the first couple nights they either pass quicker, or what the spirits ask for is based on what the player already has?

very cool idea! the day/night cycle is nice, the pixel art and music create a great (but not too serious) atmosphere that fits the game. I think a bit more help on what the player can / should do would be nice. Also the shrine cost hints became hidden at some point (maybe something with the z layer)
Congrats on the submission :)

Beautiful game! Very pretty and fun to play. A little confusing on what to do. But still very fun.

I really appreciate all the work that was done to make the game's aesthetic! The swaying trees and plants (shaders?), the sundial telling the time, the atmospheric music, and the pixel art is top notch.

Like others mentioned, I was a bit confused as to what to do at first, but the game was so pretty I stuck around just for the vibes. Great job!

Well made game, great art and music, I would have liked to have seen the frog characters animated, but I understand there's not a lot of time in the game jam. I was a little unclear on how exactly I could expand the shrine, but a nice cozy experience.

Overall fine, but has issues. You can dump things into hole which would do nothing good. Giving items to spirits is useless. Why do it? Pace is slow, and hitboxes are a little bit of so the controls move clunky.

It's beautiful.

Oh man those froggos...! So cute! The first sprits I went to told me that he wanted poop and I didn't know what to do... lol

Awesomely done. I also think this game can be so much more given enough refinement!

Very nice art ! Seems like sometimes I couldn't place the offerings once I picked them up. But nice game! the day/night cycle looks good with the lighting. Very polished

I liked the idea and the art style, but I think the game's pacing is a bit too slow. It took me some time to understand what was happening, how to interact with the items, buy, etc.

But overall, I liked it, congrats on the submission!

Game works fine for me in browser, but overall I was kind of confused on what certain things did and where I was meant to get things from. I was allowed to drop poop in a hole, at which point a spirit from the hole would growl (I can only assume) "thank you for the feces". Overall, has alot of potential, but the lack of information left me confused. Still, it deserves a round of applause for the polished elements included, like the day night cycle and the trees swaying in the wind.

I'm very confused on how to progress. I didn't quite understand when items showed up or which items were supposed to be put where.

Very pretty art and music though!

The game lags a lot when trying to play it in my browser. Maybe it is my computer, would love to give this a go though!
