How does your game fit the theme?
I think so since it's based on the fact that you are dreaming a Lucid Dream and you know you are, so you have a kind of perspective from the dreamer and the playable avatar.

This is my first game jam and I appreciate the free participation and I had a great time making my game.

Thank you very much.

It’s a shame the game was so short because it was a fun platformer. The tutorial was both useful and funny, with clear instructions and entertaining text. There was a hint about a boss, but unfortunately, it wasn’t there…

The controls worked well, and graphically, it had a cute and unique style. The dreamy music fit perfectly with the game. The color palette was used, but the theme was a bit more difficult to see. With the current black and white sometimes you could not see the enemy in the grass.. You should check real good before jumping.

For a  first jam this was a very good prototype...well done... Looking forward to see more game projects in the future.

A solid platformer for our jam—great job! 😊

Nice gameplay! This is a great game for a first game jam. I liked the monologue. Not much use of the colours or theme here though. Good little game nonetheless

very nice game I liked the visuals and music the controls are also responsive and the plot about the fact that the character knows that he is in a video game is very funny even though I didn’t really understand anything since I don’t know English

Thank you for testing the game. In “Options” you can change the language to Spanish if you wish. I didn't put more languages hahaha. 😅

Gracias por probar el juego. En "Options" puedes cambiar el idioma a Español si deseas. No puse más idiomas jajaja. 😅

Alas, I only know Russian and a little English... so I got the general gist

I take note for the next game. 🫡

This is a cool platformer and a very solid entry for your first jam. My only reservation is that even though the palette fits the restrictions it could very well have been submitted to 1-bit jam as well, and the same goes for the two perspectives, I understand you explain it but there isn’t much in terms of gameplay to involve the two points of view.

good entry, is a really good alpha with the basic mechanics well polished, you can continue work it with more levels and new mechanics and get a really cool 2D platformer.

Well Done

This was short, but really fun! Controls feel nice and platforming difficulty is well balanced, cute monochrome art, overall very impressive!

As already mentioned below, only one thing I had difficulty with was trying to see enemies between the mushrooms growing in background, cause they had very similar shape and height, maybe putting enemies in the foreground and a little bit of 'shadow' for the background would help to distinguish the two.

I really enjoyed! It's really well polished, one of the most important things in a game. Love the concept! Does have a lot of potential.

Good job!

Solid entry for a first gamejam, its a bit short but with a good tutorial at the beginning which is always a plus in a gamejam.

One tip i could give is for where the enemies where in the mushrooms they were a bit hard to see maybe it would be better putting them in the foreground instead of behind the plants.

But overall nice music and good graphics.

The game is fun and its so complete in a lot of aspects, also the movement of the character is very responsive. The tutorial its a little tedious with too many dialogues (the humor solve it a little). With all that, I don't see the Jam's theme in any place.

Welcome to game jams! Nice to have you participating, it means we all get to try a new game! The tutorial was very hand-holdy, but since it  looks like the framework for a much bigger game, I think that's good. I liked finding little dialogues, like if you went left instead of right. I was so hyped for the mini boss too, then it ended! lmao, that's like me and half my projects though. I'd like to see a more blatant use of the second perspective, like zooming out to see who's dreaming the game, and having the dreamer change parts of the level to progress. Other than that, solid game so far! I'd like to see how that boss battle pans out.

This is a great game. The sound effects are perfectly on-point which seems like a rarity with game jam games. The monochromatic look is very cute and reminds me of GB games. I'd love to play a full release. Faster dialogue boxing, some proofreading, and less finicky doors would help but it makes sense those would have issues in a game jam.

Unfortunately, I don't think this game is really thematic for the jam. Maybe an intro cutscene of the main character in the real world before being thrust in the dream world would go a long way, however!

Simple, classic platformer gameplay. It controls well, however I'd suggest adding the option to control movement with WASD in addition to the arrow keys.

Also, a cooldown timer after taking damage from an enemy would make the game feel more fair by giving the player a chance to get to safety, instead of rapidly taking hits and getting a game over.

The dialogue adds some character to the game, maybe disabling any dialogue which has already played would make retries after a gameover feel less repetitive.

Game is fun and intuitive.
Art is really nice in itself, but it felt like you were only using 4 of the colors.
The audio is really nice, it matches the visuals.
But I didn't really get how it fits the theme. The gameplay could be the same if it wasn't in a lucid dream but a classic adventure game.

Overall it's a really nice and polished game. Good job and keep it up!

overall pretty good but protaganist is too much of a yapper and theres no skip dialogue so if you die it gets really annoying

Developer

I know perfectly well, but I had no more time between work and sleep hahahaha... I will implement it for the next Game Jam. Thank you very much for playing anyway, I appreciate the feedback. 😁👍
