It's a pretty cool game. I know the number of members is more a limit of time, but I can totally see this with a sizeable roster of Holomems and each game shuffles who the housemates are. It's a great test for a fan to see if they know the girls well enough to remember details about them to sus out the impostor.
Some things confuse me like what is Gura breaking from the bin and why is that important, or what is phase 2 as implied by the ending? But overall I think it's pretty solid work. Played a couple of times just to see all the interactions possible and it's pretty cool what you got done over the course of the jam period. Great job!Edit: Nevermind, I think Gura is biting through steel bars(?), and that the phase 2 line was me getting the bad ending for spreading bad info about Ame (which meant I was getting the bad ending this whole time; don't worry, I finally got the good ending ;>_<).
Confirming you figured it out. The point of the bin and other environment pieces is to check on the members’ abilities, in this case that sharks can bite through metal. I’ve fixed the bad ending text a little to make it less ambiguous. A large roster was the goal, the obstacle to it was I would also need different office layouts (without a fridge, and with some new puzzle taking its place) after boxing myself in with the food mechanic. Since for every food I add, I first need to learn via stream clips/vods how every other member would react to it.
Thanks for playing.
Very fun! I enjoyed questioning everybody and managed to succeed on my first try.
Adorably smol Detective Ame is on the case!
This game is freaking cwute! I really like how lively the npc are as they go about doing their own thing while you solve the case! Interesting interactions as well as you tries to sus out the imposter!
Overall, this is impressive!
I think this was a really clever idea. It's a cute concept done really well in the time window you had. I realize now that I don't actually know anyone's birthday. Also you're sitting here watching me write this on stream and I've already told you verbally how I feel about this game. So I'm not sure how useful this review really is.
I like it! Good job!
At first I thought that this was going to be a simple imposter game but then I failed multiple times. Cute and rewards the player for understanding facts and references.
I also really appreciated the option to get notified if I were locked into bad end haha.
This is a fun detective game. It took me acouple of tries to actually beat it, but it felt good figuring it out correctly at the end.
This was very cute and fun! The idle walking around and following is impressive, leading the suspects near the items or food to see their reactions is a great mechanic. I definitely don't know all the trivia, but I knew enough to sus out a couple suspects correctly.
The animations are cute, especially kronii at the mirror and Ina on the floor
Also very much appreciate the little UI touches like the click to confirm restart / exit
This is so cute! The writing is really good! Each of their interactions and tiny actions feels so authentic I could almost see it happening for real. Really cool that it is randomized as well so you can't cheese it.
UI works perfect and is pleasant to look at. Animation is top notch.
The additional option to notify that bad end is locked in is definitely appreciated.
I can't find any fault with this other than wanting more.
Thanks for making this!
Really cute game, finally a social deduction game I can play by myself XD
Found the impostor on my first playthrough, but it was more a lucky guess than anything.
Defenitely has potential
I enjoyed doing the investigation on each of the talents and trying to figure out who were the fake ones.
On my first try I ended up eliminating a real one hahaha. However, after a few tries and spending more time investigating them, I cleared the game!
I loved all the references you included for each of the talents!
Good work!
On my first playthrough I managed to find the impostor after (what feels like) a 10 minutes of questioning. I was very proud of myself btw. But then when I exited the door I found out there were supposed to be 2 impostors. Oh...
On the next playthrough, I found that some of their answers were different than before. And sure enough they were the imposters. I realized this has turned into a spot-the-difference game!
I think it's a clever way to fit the impostor concept into a short game format. Well done!
This is pretty cute! Made me bring out the hololive wiki lol. Maybe I'd add a little "notes" section so that you can see what the answer is actually supposed to be but that might make it a bit too easy.
With enough time I was going to have a journal mechanic that would “persist across timelines” and keep everything you discovered in-game (everything you asked and witnessed), so long as it was a real holomember and you didn’t knock them out. With that, one would unlock everything in about 4 passes, even with no prior hololive knowledge, and on the player’s own efforts, as opposed to simply giving away the answers. Thanks for playing.
Post-jam edit: The journal/notepad mechanic is now in the game.
Really cute game! It really tests your detective skills. I got to brush up on my trivia lol
