I don't find some configurations in this game work well with given levels. Items and interactable are placed far away from each other and character speed are a little slow. Mistakes can be made in these puzzles and to redo the puzzle the character has to move back and the slow speed in a big room is a little tiring.
However, the gameplay was good and music in this game really nice.
Besides the characters speed what do you think we can improve?
Sorry for the inconvenience but glad you still enjoyed it!
I liked the theme of romance, I was thinking to do something like that at the begining. I like how the music pickup with the notes
Thanks! Maybe you'll get a match, who knows... ;)
I like the way the button's sounds are in tune with the music.. you should have extra score if the player presses them at the correct rhythm! Great concept...
Hey! We actually thought about maybe adding some kind of scoring system indeed, we'll have to think about it!
Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback, that's a pretty good idea ^-^
Loved the music and the concept! Great job!
Thanks a lot!
We talked on discord, so I have nothing to say here ;)
The artstyle is fancy! I like that the cello sounds are in tune with the music when you step on the right ones.
Thanks you for your comment, I appreciate it!
Cool game! Gotta add this one to the list of games that did "emotional connection" like us :)
Haha glad you liked it, thank you !
I really liked the atmosphere on this one. I didn't quite get why you get a miss when one choses the right colour, but it's the other person who needs to go to that exact same colour (did I miss something here?). Art is just awesome and music suits well too. Well done!
You mean in level 1 ? Yes actually both have same color on their side but there is an order to do it. We will work it on it to make it clearer. Thanks for your comment, we really appreciate ^-^
I really like the fact that every puzzle is different. And nice art, the game is really refreshing to play. Great Work!!!
Thanks for your comment, we're glad you liked it! :)
Great game ,fantastic graphics, perfect art style and i loved the idea of that every level the mechanics change and if you add more to the background it would even better
Keep it up!
Thank you very much I'm glad you loved it ! We plan to do some adjustmen after the jam, I take note ;)
I thought the art work was very well done and was pleasing to the eye. Overall this was very well done and I admire the time and effort that was put into this.
Thank you so much ! ^-^
Really cool mechanics and art. The music incorporated to the gameplay was a neat idea. It didn't overstay it's welcome either. Happy for Godot games in this jam as well! Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much !
Yeah Godot team !
I was lucky enough to give feedback towards this game before the deadline and hopefully helped it develop. I think the audio is amazing and used very effectively, however is to loud and cant be adjusted within the game. I thought the puzzles were really clever and easy to understand for the player. this is good player engagement and shows amazing thought though out your project. lastly the art style and animations were absolutely amazing for almost every part of the game, if this was to be improved you could possible texture the walls slightly better. overall this game has buckets of potential and I cant wait to see it progress.
Hey Yorkie thanks for your playtest on Level 2, your constructive feedback helped a lot! :)
The sound was readjusted only once but we didn't really have time to fine tune it so it is very loud for now. We'll update it after the jam and add an options menu!
Level design was something we had to work hard for so I'm pretty happy it was effective for you! All the assets were made by our amazing team so they'll be happy to hear that! ^^
The walls were no even textured since we didn't have time to create textures for a tilemap. The easy solution was to generate a polygon and fill it with a color so that's why it looks that way. So I agree it needs a little bit more love!
Thanks for your comment and we'll update the game for sure! :)
This was a fun game with awesome audio, art and puzzle design. I enjoyed each levels puzzles were similar but different so the levels felt quite different. Great job on this game!
Thanks a lot for your comment! :)
awesome artstyle! nice work!
It was a loong work, I'm happy you liked it !
Thank you very much ! ^-^
The art style is so cute. I really did enjoy how the music evolves as the matching goes on.
I'm so glad to hear that, thank you very much ! ^-^
I really love the idea of the game and connection to the theme.Great job,Cheer!!!
Thanks! We gave a lot of importance to the theme so good thing you talked about it! :)
I initially thought this is a dating game hahaha. I love how the music is incorporated in this game but would love to have it in succession/new instruments will play after each match/selection. At least I finished the game and matched all the items at the end (with extra pieces). Still, a good game for me! :)
Hi! Do you think it should be presented in another way to make people understand it's a puzzle game? If so how?
We wanted to implement the instruments that way indeed but we couldn't get the Fmod plugin working on Godot. (which has poor support for that for now, it needs more people asking for it) We didn't really have time to address this issue in the game jam so I had to hardcode it. But we're thinking about using WWise which might help a lot!
Oh you finished the game that's pretty cool! Was the extra item you talked about a card? If so I'll just let you know that's intended but it definitely needs to disappear when the level is over.
Thanks for your comment! ^^
Nope, I prefer to leave the presentation as is :) Hoping that Godot will provide support on that because the way the music works is really promising. As for the extra item, yeah that is a card that is not matching but doesn't hinder my gameplay so still all good! :)
Ok good! ^^
Yes I hope Godot will provide its own support for sound but for now they are working on the 3D features with version 4.0 so we might have to wait a little bit more. The more people will use it, the more Fmod team is going to invest into Godot support. (There are only 2 modules made by community for now) This game engine deserves a lot of love but it has yet to get some hits in production.
Alright then! :)
I found the game quite fun to play. Nice mini puzzle game. :) Good job.
Hey glad you enjoyed it, thanks for your comment! :)
Far from bad, but it didn't really do much to make me say it was good either.
Thanks for your constructive criticism!
