Description
Auritas - Adventure Fantasy Ghibli-styled game

The adventure of a girl who cannot fall asleep because of the darkness in her room.

Her mother, tired of notorious bedtime stories, tries to find a solution.

The key turns out to be a bedside lamp with fish (screenshot), which takes her to a magical world while she sleeps.

The girl encounters on her way many fish and fish-like creatures of the underwater world - the good and the evil ones.

Among them are the Auritas (small weird ghibbli-style creatures) whom the girl does not understand at first, but they turn out to be a shining guide in this dreamy world.

Her struggles are noticed by Mother somewhere above who is always trying to think of her.

During the creation, I thought of some anime from the ghibbli studio, mainly my favourites Princess Mononoke and Nausicaa :--)))

I'm certainly no Joe Hisaishi haha but I had a lot of fun looking at the picture and just creating whatever comes to mind.

Also, there's no denying that I was also inspired by game soundtracks such as Minecraft, Celeste, Tunic, Hyper Light Drifter which I return to most often.

I wanted it to be more ambient-electronic than orchestral.

All in Fl studio, main plugins - Triton, LABS, Purity and Massive (shoutout Disasterpeace :pp)

I mainly made small changes to the sound design already in the presets and focused on the moment rather than a professionally arranged composition

I love some of the spaciousness and freedom of this ambient... It's like I'm flying in a graceful void.

Nailed the picture theme with the soundscape you chose, very ambient. Enjoyed that you finally put  bass in Follow The light, all the other tracks were sitting in mid and high-mid range a change of pace was a breath of fresh air. The only thing i would look is the arrangement of the tracks, for exemple Journey through water and Auritas are basically the same in terms of motion and dynamics, one has different melodic motif but the space and dynamic is the same, I would've love some bigger difference between the two. A part from that good rendition !

Developer

yeahh i get your point thank u so much for feedback ill take notes of that :)))

Really neat how it all feels free flowing with no real time signature to hold it in place!

Developer

thanks alot! I'm happy you like the end effect;dD as you say without a substantial time structure

Really nice sounds throughout and completely nailed the theme.

Can really hear the influence from Joe Hisaishi & the indie games you mentioned but doesn't feel you borrowed from them too heavily.

Some very nice sound design throughout.

Developer

thank u so mucho!!;d rly nice to hear it

Dreamlike OST. Beautiful harmonies I really liked it overall, and I think you nailed Ghibli but electronic definitely!

Developer(+1)

yep electronic ghibli was my way;p thanks a lot!!

Nice ambient tracks! the use of bell like synths in the highs match well with the bubbles on the picture! Just wished there was one track a bit more dynamic!

Developer

yeah I went for calm and cosy though that was the idea:-)) thanks for feedback!!

Really cool sound selection that represents the ocean perfectly. I think I like Follow The Light the most. it has such a mystical feel to it and I like bass used. Keep it up!

Your instrument choice is EXACTLY what I love! Not only is the instrument choice great but the composition & ambience is phenomenal. This OST definitely needs more love. Great work

Developer

Beautifully crafted ambient pieces. Minecraft inspiration definitely stands out! It's really evoking vast areas :D

Well done! Thanks for the dreamy ride :)

Developer

thank u so much! i appreciate that :))

These tracks are excellent! My favorite is Journey Through Water. Gives me deep nostalgia feels. Great work!

Gorgeous choice of instrumentation, had me hooked from the get-go. Entering Dream sounds as ethereal as the title. I think of the bunch, my favorite may be that, or perhaps Follow the Light - but it's a close-call! These are all such wonderfully ambient tracks, so easy to vibe to. I can easily see them being underscore in a variety of games.

Developer

thanks for your kind words :)) it rly keeps me going i appreciate that!!

movement within these pads is really great, catches a lot of attention and gives some depth to the soundscapes, some very very solid ambience, some transitions could def be a bit smoother to complete the ambient vibe as sometimes it feels like stuff changes and then changes again without having been able to establish itself, but nothing is incredibly jarring and if any of it is intentional it def works, just trying to get into the headspace of making this, really nice use of delay, overall really great tracks!

yeah i know what u mean i think i might overcooked somewhere especially track 3 when I listened to it something was missing and I wanted to fulfill it somehow but time was running out :DD so i left it that way. Its my first jam sooo in the next one I will pay attention to the time :P

and also thanks for feedback <3

An excellent ambient soundtrack. The pads are dynamic and you've structured different sections that tell a story within each track. The pitch shifts in Auritas are very cool and really evoke water imagery. Overall great soundtrack!

Developer(+1)

yeah these high pitched jumps were what i was aiming for Thank you very much :D!

really nice ambient synth album, even if I'm a fan of more dynamic and rythmic songs I liked the feels of the soundtrack and the synth paches u used sounded really nice, great work :D

Developer

thank u! yeah the atmospheric synths/pads play the main part thanks again for feedback!! :D
