Sources Cited
The sources will be shown in the video submitted to canvas. For art, I hand drew all assets, all except the backgrounds (Generated based on prompts for AI). The art was used as Image input for an AI application called Wonder (Google Play).
When I was planning the game out I had the idea of using AI and it really paid off. I used many other apps I already had on my phone to remove backgrounds, animate, etc..(will screen record phone).

As for Audio, there is a website called free music archives. All music is free so long that artists are credited and no money is made(creative commons).

for some of the scripts, I did need some help from tutorials. Even so, implementing was a nightmare.

For Background scrolling, I referred to a tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4YQVrs46f6k&t=2s). This parallax effect was helpful for my final level as the player falls down to deliver a blow to an enemy . I also had to invert movement. I spent some time on forum.unity.com for bug fixes (things like DontDestroyOnLoad were useful but frustrating at times lol).

I used this tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8oTYabhj248) for basic dialogue. I had planned on dialogue triggering when the player collided with the NPC, however decided I had no time.

For level one, camera movement was a real pain. Tutorials were useful (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PA5DgZfRsAM) but ultimately I still have some minor annoyances.

StackOverflow was useful as well.

I'm proud of the finished product and can confidently say I might just make another game in my free time (if less stressful lol)

The sounds, music, and environment are all good. The movement was fairly smooth, but I would've liked to be able to change how far I could jump. At the beginning of the game, you should've put an arrow pointing right, because I just had to guess there was something further. I also kept getting stuck on the walls, and the platforms weren't very precise in respect to how they looked.

I love this game! well done on the movements and controls. However, in the cave I had a very hard time climbing and jumping on the obstacles.

I loved the intro and the fact that the game had a interesting story and the gameplay was cool but I found the controls to be a little stiff.

This game was quite amazing, it kind of reminded me a bit of super Mario. The only issue I had was some jumping problems and sticking to the walls but honestly, nothing huge, thought this was a great game.

I enjoyed this alot! The art and game concept/ story is very nice. I'm not sure if it's a mistake on my end but in the cave once I reach to what seems to be a door, it'll say I died. Other than that great job!

Excellent job on the game! I made it pretty far but then I started to die on the section with the spear back to back. The art style the story and everything else about it felt great! Overall great job with this game!

This game is really cool, and you definitely put a lot of work into the game. I'm not great with platform games but the controls felt pretty good. I did get stuck on the sides of platforms a lot when I tried to jump to them which did mess me up a couple times. Both the visual style and the audio worked really well for the game. I also liked when the vision changed from the entire screen to the circle around the character. Amazing job!

Holy cow this game is huge.  You should be proud of what you've created in such a short time.

My first impression I was struck by the art style and it's only a few days later I'm able to put my finger on it.  Ever heard of the old "Heart of Darkness" game for the PlayStation?

Really liked the platforming even though I'm not very good at them. Music was a nice touch as well as the story line.

Love this game! The art was really cool and the storyline was compelling. The style and controls were bringing me some nostalgia

Really enjoyed this game, the music, jump animations, platform placement was well done. Also really liked the darkness area and trying to get around

Overall a very impressive game! Aside from some minor platform stickage and the camera transitions being a smidge weird if you fall, the game play incredibly well, looks beautiful, and the spotlight effect when going "inside" is amazing. Wonderfully done!

Cool game!! All of the art is very nice and the scene fit the game very well.  What could be improved is the character's movement with getting stuck on platforms. Besides that, good work!

That was such a fun game! I loved the artwork so much, it was such a cute design. The controls felt very good and it was a fun platformer! Amazing Job!

On second playthrough I finally realized what "WASD to scroll >>>>" was literally telling me to do.  The intro/outro story is really cool!  I thought your game was very well put together and was impressed with the different environment look/feels that you gave (outdoor platforming, indoor cave lighting, final section)

I have had some friends and family play through IRL and some of the feedback has been a lack of prompts lol. Also the speed run time to beat was set by my brother at 1:03, I got a 1:08.

I thought you did a great job with this game and I really enjoyed playing it.  I appreciate the time and effort you put into this game to make it look and sound nice.  The movement and controls felt smooth, except for the issue of getting stuck on walls.  This made the game slightly less enjoyable, but I think you made up for it with all of the other stuff.  I also liked the storyline/scrolling introduction menu at the beginning; this was unique and a nice touch.

Really cool platformer and was a lot of fun to play. The camera got a bit wonky sometimes, particularly if you fell back down to a section you had already passed before.

If anyone is stuck at the very beginning and it seems like you cannot progress,
SPOILERS:

you should go right, not left.  I was actually able to get up to the fire on the left side but that's not the right way to go (as far as I can tell).  There's more to the right, though, a lot more.

First thing I noticed was the art and the nice use of changing perspectives. Jumping to and from platforms feels...off? I noticed you can getter jumps by jumping first then strafing instead of running then jumping. I was also able to trick the auto camera movement so small bug there. Great work, hope to see your next game!
