Description
The main idea behind the format of this submission is that due to limited time, I had to try to cover the entire context of the video game.

Therefore, the best thing that came to my mind was to write two tracks, the first of which is something like opening a menu and its subsequent musical accompaniment. And second one is the final battle. Thus, I tried to “cover” as much as possible with both the sound and the context of these tracks.

General genre of music is neoclassical simply because I adore it and it also perfectly conveys the mood and “perception” that I want (epic and mystical dark fantasy).

Worked on this music from scratch. When Jam started, that's when I started. I didn’t count the hours, in my DAW it doesn’t seem to show this, like in FL, but the work took up almost all the allotted time. I did it for so long because I wanted to polish certain moments as much as possible. My DAW is Ableton Live 12 and this is only soft I used.

Message from the artist
I have very big problems with uploading videos to YouTube and also I simply unable to register on Vimeo. Most likely all this is due to the region of my residence, but I attached screenshots and if anything, the screen recording is in the archive.

Theme

Inside my world

How does it fit the theme?
Based on brief story of this submission, the main character has access to the ability to “change” the world for himself, thereby moving, with the help of a catalyst in the form of a book, into “his world", that connected to the real one.

In the sound, I tried to convey the transition and difference between the two worlds using synths in such a way, as I imagine it.

For example, in the track "The Fisherman" at the very beginning I want to deliver exactly what, first of all, is the difference and “confrontation” between two realities with floating and kicking low synthesizers. And in the "second phase" the synthesizers become harder, conveying more power from the boss, which in turn is a pure representative of this fairy tale world.

An astonishing submission. I love the voices, it's adding a very deep dimension to the music.
The story is dramatic, almost as if he is trapped in this world that belongs to him, and when he speaks out, the world changes, while all he wants is to get out of it.

This is amazing! It gives me Nier and Akira vibes, yet you very much have your own sound. One of the best submissions I've heard so far, if not THE best

Love the vocal slices in the second track!

Really great pair of tracks!!

Great use of orchestral sounds in both but also great creative bending and manipulation of them into new sounds and  textures, also really like the heavy use of vocal sounds.

The first track has a great dreamy feel whilst also feeling very sinister and uneasy.

Second track is brilliantly dramatic! Love the intensity and all of the creative processing to elevate it.

Super original and sounds so great! The sound design is the key part for me, you really hit the nail on the head with The Firsherman :D On top of that, I really enjoy the backstory and I totally hear it!

Very original take! Love the ambience you created with that voice  far away!

In "the Fisherman" what choir did you use? They sound gorgious!

Big thanks for kind words. Choir is "Rhodope 2" bulgarian choir for Kontakt.

Yooo the Title Screen theme is so well done. it has so much character with the reversed piano and vocals and it transitioned so well into the second track. The second track's vocals are just beautiful. The abundance of textures used here is so refreshing. The climax gave me CHILLS when it hit dude!! The mix is perfect, everything gets its chance to shine in the mix and both pieces have great dynamics. I can see this being in a futuristic tactical FPS game of some sort.

Overall, this was a FANTASTIC submission. kudos to you dude!

Title Screen: Reverse samples build up a nice atmosphere. Love the vocals. Mystical sound.

The Fisherman: So huge and cinematic! Great percussion.

Great work!

Awesome production, love how well you dove into the narrative aspect with both the title and the final boss, Love the atmosphere you built with the shimmers, reverb, reverse'd percs, and all the fast tension releases!  Really great listen, filled all the whole stereoscape with beautiful design and control.  Amazing!

Very cool submission! The building tension in the first have of "The Fisherman" is the perfect way to lead up to the introduction of the choir vocals. "Title Screen" also sounds really suspenseful and interesting. The use of dynamics and volume shifts in both tracks is amazing.

The vocals were really really cool! It was super atmospheric and almost trippy!

probably my favorite atmospheric entry I have heard so far of the many entries I have listened to.

This was epic, trippy, very dynamic. The narrative carries over well across songs. Nice entry!

This was really cool to listen to, the contrast you created and emotional rollercoaster this goes through in only 5 minutes is something that impresses me a lot!!! You packed so much into this both musically and emotionally and I really do get a super strong feeling of wonder from The Fisherman,  especially with the contrast of those vocals and the powerful synths and drums. Excellent job!

I wish there was more!! Seriously cool stuff, the production and effects are on point and the Kevin Penkin vibe comes through for sure. I don't really know what else to say other than this is super cool!

My God...

Title Screen - a frightening and large-scale introduction

The Fisherman was very pleasantly surprised by the epicness

A very interesting soundtrack!

This is so atmospheric & hauntingly beautiful! The pair of tracks give me sorta  Cytus x Panzer Dragon Orta vibes while still sounding unique :D I think it might be my favourite submission I've listened to so far!
