What do you like about your game?
It was a very fun puzzle to create levels for the game. I also like the cool background effect I made completely by accident :)

Wow! This is quite challenging. Although I still have some difficult discerning when what will turn what (does only change what is behind, not at the sides?), its mechanic is quite original and it is able to elicit quite a lot of complexity from very simple rules. If feels like a very cohesive experience, and it accomplishes my "to-go" rule: would I like this to be packed in a GNU/Linux distro? Yes!

Developer(+1)

In my head, the rules were as simple as:

- appears to the left = orange

- appears to the right = blue

- Things that you see don't change as long as you can see them.

So the tiles above and under the character (I think that's what you mean by "at the sides") will be of a different color whether you see them from a clockwise or counterclockwise turn.

I will say that understanding the mechanics was part of the puzzle experience :)

Oh now I get it! Thanks!

Great game! In the beginning I had no idea what was happening and was just trying stuff until something worked. But I actually liked that learning process. It felt satisfying slowly gaining intuition over trial and error instead of being told how it works.

A well done puzzle game. Definitely needs some clarity as to what tiles will change to what. It is clear once you get it though.

Really interesting mechanic! I definitely had a lot of trouble understanding what color it would switch to at the beginning, and even after seeing the compass flash I think this could be communicated better. Maybe if the blurred section itself was colored to what it would be after rotating?

I did complete the main levels, but once I saw a green zone I noped out haha. Great puzzle design overall, and I enjoyed it!

Developer(+1)

I thought about coloring the blurred section, but since I made the background effect by accident while playing with shaders, I didn't know exactly how it worked, and any attempt to overlay some color on it destroyed the effect. I will definitely try to make the mechanics easier to understand in a post-jam update. Thanks for playing!

What a fantastic puzzle mechanic and a well polished game overall. It took me a bit of time to understand how it worked. I love the aesthetics of the game, the difficulty ramp between levels, the music / atmostphere and how it fits the theme. I love that you added a Ctrl-Z option because so many times I regretted a move I had just made. I got stuck on level 6 or 7 I think, I just couldn't quite figure out how to get both balls in... I do plan on returning to this game and trying to finish it!

Interesting concept - I liked it! I managed to solve most of the puzzle, but I still wasn't entirely sure what was actually going on underneath :)

Great job!

Holy moly! What a game! This is a really unique mechanic that I've never seen before! I really enjoyed playing it! The puzzles were challenging and I still can't wrap my head around how I managed to solve some of the levels.

Very well done!

Just played your game again...DAMN!! I hope you win haha

Love your game, just so original

This is an absolutely fantastic puzzle. The mechanics look very original to me. I am stuck on level 7 so far. I pushed the second ball back through the yellow ‘reality,’ but the other kept me puzzled.

Thank you for playing. I'm happy to see that people appreciate the game's mechanics. If you're curious, I put a video with the solutions for every main levels on the itch page.

A puzzle game, quite creative, the only bad thing is that turning and moving feels a bit rough, but otherwise 10/10

Interesting concept. A bit confusing, as it is not completely obvious when will which parts of the map be yellow and when blue, but besides that, nicely done. :)

"The game has a very polished and original style. Although I'm not a fan of puzzle games, I can appreciate the effort that you've put into it. Well done! However, there is a small bug where pressing space on the information page leads to a blank screen, and the only way out is to restart the game. Aside from that, it's a great job! I'd rate it 4.5 out of 5."

Great game!

This is such an original idea!!

The game has a lot of winner potential in my opinion because it really has it all: the idea is really original (never seen something like it) the music fits perfectly with the aesthetic of the game and honestly, I have no idea of how you managed to achieve such shifting system, could you give me a hint or something? It's AWESOME

Also, the background looks amazing, and you say that was created by accident? Cool!! haha those accidents are the best :)

I couldn't finish it though, this level was just too much for me haha

Thank you for playing. I'm glad you liked the game :)

I'm really proud of the shifting mechanics, even though I wish I would have explained them better to the player. The code behind it is pretty messy. It's a bunch of if statements checking the last turn of the player and its orientation to decide what tiles should appear or disappear. I made a smooth transition using a mask to hide the tiles when they are behind the player.

You got pretty far into the game. Many people couldn't pass the first 4 levels. Well done!

I'm not proud of my failure haha

I spent like 10 minutes there trying to figure it out :(

I really mean it when I say this is winner material! I hope you make more levels and release the game (maybe for mobile?) I want my revenge 😎✨

Beautiful game, I was not smart enough to pass level 2, but it looks amazing!

Submitted(+1)

I like the idea and the aesthetic is nice! Can be quite challenging initially as you don't understand the shifting mechanic very well. Do love the background though!

Very neat game: everything is very well crafter.

The game is progressive but you might need to add some information in the game so players can understand better the tricks of your game (I feel a bit stuck time to time)

congrats for your game!

I love the aesthetic and thematic feel of the game, you definitely succeeded on your goal to make it dreamy! At first I thought I understood the mechanics but later on I realized I didn't, and I was having trouble understanding how everything works even after reading your itch page. I ended up just sort of pressing buttons and guessing my way through, which sucked a little bit.

Props for adding skip level button and level select screen, I feel like these should be mandatory for game jam puzzle games it was so useful! I feel bad for not understanding the core mechanic, it clearly had much effort and thought go into it.

If you're confused, I've just added a tutorial and full playthrough video to the itch page. Understanding the mechanics was supposed to be part of the experience, but I don't want you to get frustrated playing my game :)

Submitted(+1)

This was pretty interesting! Definitely could have used a tutorial, though, I was very confused about the whole switching levels thing. I think I somewhat understood it, but an explicit tutorial would have been much appreciated :)
