Pretty cool, the wall run feels nice. It would be nice if it was a little more dangerous early on
Cool idea, was a bit boring at first but when I got to the spikes the game was actually quite fun. Definitely needs some balancing changes but overall a good entry.
Thank you! I agree, I didn't have quite enough time to figure out how to balance a challenging / rewarding difficulty, so I opted for EASY for the sake of the game jam :) Thank you for playing!
Wall ride is sick
Love the theming.
The movement stopping completely when hitting an obstacle felt bad, but I loved the hand animation and the wall running was fun. Decent stuff!
Thank you for playing! I can't take credit for creating the Hand Animation, it was part of a free asset: https://drillimpact.itch.io/psx-first-person-arms-free ~ but it was fun to learn how to take that file and bring it into the game and cue the animations, etc., I especially liked it as it reminded me of morrowind spell casting
First infinite runner I have ever played, it was pretty good
I feel like the shooting is pointless, I didnt even realize it effect anything, if it let you get score from it shooting the japanese characters that would be satisfying
mentioning that, I at first thought those characters were a loss condition, some kind of hint at the start would be nice
but gotta give you respect for adding that wall system with the plus/multiply thing from those fake advert games, it is what I have always wanted, thank you <3
Thank you! I agree, difficulty is low. I opted for easy vs hard for the sake of the game jam. Shooting def could consequential and rewarding.
And in the beginning, could you see the simple instructions in the bottom third of the screen? I had a lot of trouble with UI scaling / screen resolution. But maybe this was too vague too.
And for the plus/multiply mobile game elements, yes! The accelerating powers of the 2x became a fun gameplay element I think, but in a more refined version of the game I think it could also help provide consequence/reward for quick movement.
Go play Momenta too! Kind of an infinite runner.
This is quite a decent game. Aesthetically looks minimal but it's still nice. I feel this game needs more balancing and should focus more on the running aspect rather than adding the shooting mechanics in. If you still wanna add the shooting, would be better to make the enemies bigger so it's easier to shoot. Great work btw! Keep it up!
Thanks for playing! I had greater ambitions for pixel art / doom style retro graphics, but solo and in only a week, I went with the "tron" graphics because I could make them quickly and could use lighting to change their colors! Balance is definitely on the way easy side, I agree there should be greater consequence and reward for quick and responsive movement, and shooting could be more consequential too.
Cool game! you did a lot especially for a solo project
Thank you for playing!
