I like the harpoon but I it spins a little too fast, maybe if we were able to move while it spins and it moves slower when we stop?
The game is really fun and i loved the first boss opening, genuinely creepy. great job!
Game's Take on the Theme

A very unique theme and presentation! The fishing mechanics feel fresh and innovative. The deep-sea atmosphere effectively conveys a sense of fear, and the boss feels truly oppressive.
However, the harpoon seems a bit difficult to control.
The atmosphere is faaaaaaantastic. The reeling mechanics was one of the few occasions where the "spin the mouse" action didn't bother me. The spear rotation felt a little obnoxious at times, but I was able to acclimate to it eventually. Did I mention that the atmosphere was exceptional because it was so good.
This is one of my favorite entries in the jam that I've played so far. You've got a great premise, a fun title, amazing pixel art and sound design, This game has fantastic atmosphere awesome job! The fishing mechanic to bring the boss back is really funny.
Two small pieces of criticism, I'm not sure I like how the harpoon auto rotates and you have to click in time to throw it. At least when I played it felt like there was a bit of a delay between when I clicked and when the harpoon was thrown. Eventually I got accustom to it but it was still a little more frustrating than I would have liked. Also I personally use a trackball mouse and the reeling mechanic was really difficult to do with it. That's a me issue though I'm sure it's much better with a normal mouse. If you had gamepad support I could picture the fishing feeling reely good with rotating a joystick though.
Amazing job!
Thank you for the amazing feedback, indeed the harpoon is much better aimed, charged, and thrown rather than rotating, same goes for the reeling that would be better off mashing A and D to reel up and down than rotate but the theme was a bit of a restriction and I had to cope with it. Thank you for playing!
Terribly slow game and I WOULDNT HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY JERRY
You sell the atmosphere perfectly you reel in, you harpoon it, you reel it in again. No upgrades between bosses, no UI, no big need for explanations after the basics. I could never reel up feaster amidst the bullet hell with my mouse, so I played it on my tablet and it was still challenging but much more doable. Second game of this jam that I profit from playing on it, I'm always happy to find those. The Feaster shows up and unlike the previous boss, it doesn't shoot a bullet hell, but just slow swims towards you. You don't need to know why, you've read its name, you're seeing its maw, you know what it wants to do. ABSOLUTE CINEMA
hey just between us i know its the spin game jam and all but once we're done with this mind releasing the game without the harpoon spinning
Reelest comment of the century, yeah without the spinning id defo rather make the harpoon to be aimed, charged, released more charge more damage, indeed I had to keep the creativity balanced alongside the interactivity but it costed difficulty which many didn't like. Thanks for playing and im really glad you enjoyed it!
Hey what a neat game you got there with unique spin mechanics! I really connected with this game so much i didn't even take damage once, but it was fun dodging and fishing! Congrats on submission, and good luck!
I rated and reviewed in hopes that you will return the favor of your rate submission of my game below!

This game is really fun, I really liked the fishing system it has, very interesting and different from anything I've tried. I was surprised when the first boss appeared, I didn't expect a sea monster to show up after the tutorial taught me how to fish, it was awesome. The difficulty is great because the boss becomes increasingly harder to defeat, having to dodge the boss's attacks while trying to shoot it and also having to fish in between adds a lot of dynamism to the game.
The second boss beat me xD, and it was also really interesting because it felt like I was playing a shoot 'em up, dodging all the attacks and trying to deal damage. I hope to beat it on my next attempt.
One of the most fun gameplay systems in the JAM. Greetings!
Thank you so much for your feedback and I'm really glad that you enjoyed it, yeah the game is a bit hard even though I tried to make it easier but it just ruined the tension and difficulty so I had to keep it fair for bullet hell enjoyers especially, and again thank you for playing it means alot and I hope you do well next time haha!
Really cool game. The color pallete, music, and visuals are very settling. I enjoyed the uniqueness in each boss, just felt that the velocity of the spear was a bit too fast. Either way, it was veery fun to play, well done!
I swear I am a troglodyte cause I cannot time the harpoon lmao.
Great atmosphere, good sound/music, fun concept. I like some of the small stuff too like I don't have to re click on the reel if I move while fishing.
I love the oppressive atmosphere of the game, and the fact that you can go from bullet hell with a harpoon to fishing is great. I found it added a lot of charm to the game!
Really loved the use of the theme here and the style! I think the harpoon was a little to fast to aim correctly, and I was getting a bit frustrated but other than that it was a great experience! Great Job! :D
I had a great time playing this game!
The difficulty is very progressive and there are plenty of elements to avoid, without it being impossible.
I found the fishing mechanics perhaps a little tedious. I think I would have preferred to click and release the left mouse button to move the green bar up and down, rather than having to turn with my cursor. Of course, it would have been less in keeping with the theme, that's for sure.
But the game was interesting and fun enough that it wasn't a problem :)
Well done!
Good game, fun implementation of the theme! The fishing mechanics are amusing! The only thing I’d change is placing the rod handle closer to the player rather than in the bottom right corner—it feels a bit inconvenient since you have to keep looking all over the screen. But overall, I enjoyed it. Great work!!
Oh man, my right hand hates you, if you know what I mean. And where is my Cthulhu boss?
But nevertheless, good job, it was pleasant experience. On feedback streams I have thought that throw mechanic was a bit too clunky, but it actually feels fine and I beat the game 2nd try, though almost died on 2nd boss 2nd phase on the reeling phase, like I think that was the hardest part in the game and perhaps you made it a bit too hard, cuz it felt like reel power descended too fast and you had to constantly move at the same time, so it was hard to reel properly.
Rip right hand, tho congrats on beating it you're a legend hahaha, as for the reeling the progress doesnt descend when youre moving as far as I can remember and you can actually go pretty slowly with the reeling and itd actually be easy to catch. Thanks alot for playing! These were just cthulhu's minions btw so I don't reckon hes beatable YET xD
Love fighting deep sea horrors beyond my comprehension on just a lil raft.
I downloaded the game but since I use a 1440p monitor and the game's native resolution is lower, the viewport was pushed to the bottom left corner with a big gray border filling the rest of the screen (seems to also be the case on the web version when in full screen, changing the stretch mode to viewport in project settings should be a quick and easy fix).
The vibes were my favorite aspect of it, love the feeling of being alone, out at sea, in the dark, not knowing what might lurk below. It was challenging, but I made it all the way to ??? before the game stopped progressing.
Nice job :)
Very interesting and generally well executed concept with a cool theme
Art looked great, bosses were very unique from one another (loved the serpents pull in attack, made the boss very unique and fun to dodge), although more movement from the bosses would've been nice, as a lot of the time the bosses are kinda just giant punching bags.
Overall, very fun and well executed game with a great theme! Great Job!
Really cool game, only that I was getting very laggy on browser so I had to play it minimize wich hurted the experience a bit, but I liked the mechanichs, the design and overall concept
