great game, watching these Lovecraftian abominations rising from the murky depths felt amazing and slaying them was very satisfying, almost killed the serpent but just couldnt, gj and nice use of the spin mechanic

Art style is very good, gameplay is original. I didn't get much creepy vibes, but drifting on sea is something i don't want to try in real life
artstyle very fitting and well made ! :) unfortunately i got a bit low fps in browser. im animal bias so you alrady get +1 for animal game xD thanx for sharing <3
Finally, A game that can help me combat my Thalassophobia. The gameplay loop was very well implemented, having to constantly catch fish while avoiding Lovecraftian monstrosities from the deep sea, it's like part fishing sim and part shooter. Cool atmosphere, nice sprites and fun gameplay!
Cool vibe and take on the theme. I found the 'reeling' really difficult but that's probably a skill issue lol
i want to say that your game idea art are super cool control was bit hard but i can handle you fit the theme and that nice good for you i will rate you i will be happy if you played my game and rate me good luck

Nice one! I like smaller games that can focus more on the mechanics, and this did just that, the bosses were unique, the bullet hell style is not my favourite, but thats just a personal thing, takes nothing away from the game. It was also quite hard for me - but easy to learn and get a grip on the mechanincs.
Been looking forward to playing this since I saw it on a feedback stream. It's pretty nice, probably an issue from my end but the web build wasn't scaling to my monitor well. There's a small issue where your attacks go a little further than what the aim indicator is showing which isn't big but worth checking out after the jam. Being able to shoot while moving would also be good QoL. Overall nice job!
The web version didn't work for me but I played the downloaded version. I saw the game during swags stream, and I really wanted to try it myself. Very fun game-play - you definitely did a nice job ! The only downside was for me the reeling in the bottom right corner, since I have 2 monitors my mouse went off screen every second and it was harder then the actual bosses haha.
Was able to defeat the third boss! I liked how the theme was used in the fishing mechanic and also like the boss sfx and the art (especially the glowing eyes).
But I think the fishing can be improved if the center of the reel changes to the mouse’s position every time the player clicks? So the player doesn’t have to aim their mouse. Also another small improvement might be to have sfx for reeling up and reeling down? Sometimes I’m focused on dodging and can’t really tell if my mouse is off centered and I’m not moving the reel at all.
Still think its a neat game with a nice fishing mechanic though!
I really, really love how you captured the feel of large, deep sea monsters. The atmosphere really sells that feeling extraordinarily well!
As for gameplay, aiming was pretty hard to get used to and having the spinner at the bottom right corner of the screen made it difficult to play most of the time. But overall, the game's atmosphere is pretty top notch for me!
Very challenging but a super good take on the theme, ended up dying to the feaster at the last moment. Good Job!
Aiming is really difficult to my point, the harpoon rotate too fast. I liked the fishing minigames, it woke up my tryharding side xD. Also good AD.
The art is absolutely phenomenal, and the monsters are all sufficiently creepy. I didn't really like the fishing minigame, but it was partially due to skill issue. The combat was great once I got into the hang of it, the only thing I found a bit odd was that it shoots on mouse release instead of click. Only other recommendation would be to allow restarting from the boss you died on since I suck and died on my first attempt of the siren. I'm being overly critical though, I really enjoyed this one, and the polish is insane. Great work!
It's like Stardew Valley fishing, if Stardew Valley fishing had terrifying bosses that felt oddly targeted towards my phobia of deep water...
Jokes aside, loved the use of theme and tempo change between the different game play elements. The art/text was a little small on my system, but I assume that to be a intentional design choice, given the atmosphere of the game. Great work overall, you should be proud.
It's very good! It gets hard fast, I liked the atmosphere a lot. It was great! Congrats!
