Game's Take on the Theme
You are a nut, stuck inside the route of a bolt, and could only move by spinning yourself. The bolt, the room itself is the Master system OS, and the boss of this game. Defeat the Master OS and let yourself free from the system.

Did your team make the majority of the art and music during the jam?
Some portions(maybe one of two) of SFX are from pixabay, others are made by myself

Really nice visuals, it brings me the air of Virtual Boy games, although i never played them, its a very interesting mechanic, at first I thought i was missing some key but after some time playing i notice its fun and works fine like this, its clever mechanic and it can be enjoyed nicely, I hope you continue this after jam, its a cool game!!

Really love the idea you have going around in your game! I think it's soo cool! The VFX and graphics all look really great! Never would have thought of an idea like this. Really fun game to play!

(PS: If you're willing to I'd love it if you can rate and leave some feedback on my game! This is my first ever jam and I'd love to see where I can improve for the future!)

Hey this is really a cool idea, playing a nut and move by spinning. The music is also excellent, and both the visuals and music change after being hit. Additionally, the wireframe-style graphics are rendered very well. Overall, this is a really great game.

Really nice art style and a cool concept for a boss fight.
I think the only thing holding it back really was I struggled to figure out how I was supposed to dodge when I got to the end of the pillar. I pretty much just won by going up and down slowly while still avoiding stuff and always getting hit when I hit the top/bottom anyway.  The music is also sick by the way, definitely made the overall experience much more dramatic.

Good game!

Very nice art style , that part is great and also very good idea on the theme think that quite unqiue one. However i say gameplay while was intesting it was bit odd one as felt sometimes it was just not possiable to avoid some attacks if dash not charged back in time, maybe need to lower the cooldown. But others good game

wish it had more bosses and maybe change the dash mechanic so it can be turned on and off with an energy meter instead of on for a set amount of time then goes on cooldown.

The art style is amazing, super stylised and clean and it a great take on the theme of spin

I loved playing this game. The visual effects and the art style were amazing. The overall game was really fun. I liked the gameplay loop and using mainly red and black made it look amazing. I love playing games like this one. Great Job.

The VFX and sound are so great! I’ve seen so many cool ideas people have that could have worked better if it was a “survive until the end” style boss instead of being forced to add shooting or something, and this idea definetly works so much better as a sort of bullet hell. This is definetly a high ranker in fun, maybe losing a few points in visuals for being a bit monotone (but still high for having it’s own fun style!)

Definetely some unique gameplay. The press thingies were annoying as I could get trapped in some corner as 20 rockets headed towards me. The red style is good for the eyes and the music was enjoyable.

Original concept, cool music, nice looking 3d graphics, although a bit on the hard side to dodge the incoming attacks but still spent some time in there "screwing" around XD

The music was my favorite part! The problem I had is that the rockets are basically undodgable near the end of the fight as far as I can tell. But it was unique, fun, sounded cool, and I destroyed the system! Nice :D

The visuals on this are really cool and the music is hard af. I also like the 'underwater' effect on the music when you take damage.

I also like your take on the theme but I was a bit confused on how to dodge alot of the attacks as I found myself just going down the bolt until I hit the bottom and then swapping direction. Although I guess thats just a downside of having this spinning mechanic. Overall though its pretty good!

Nice game, but I have some criticism. I'll start with the positives:

I had fun trying to dodge all the obstacles with the limited movement options, the theme is incorporated in an extremely original way, the music is catchy and the visuals are very good, even if it's just 2 colors, they really fir the theme. The boss is very original!

Now, the criticism:

The attacks seem pretty random and there isn't a real way to dodge all of them consistently: I often found myself in situations where it was impossible to dodge all obstacles (mines above and below, missiles coming from the sides, and even if I dodged all of them, a piston would've crushed me). Really gives a "world against you" feel but maybe it's a bit too much sometimes.

The dash is a bit strange: I noticed it is less of a "dash" and more like a "momentary speed boost"? Great to dodge incoming fast obstacles, but the increased velocity could mess up a precision movement right after.

The main strategy I found most effective was that of going up and down and praying there were no mines when going up or down from the bottom or top.

As for suggestions, maybe I would've liked a way to parry/shield some of the incoming attacks? I don't know if it would make sense, but a bit more agency would've been a nice addition.

With this, I hope these observations could be useful if you want to update the game! It seems really cool and an amazingly original concept overall! :D

I'm just a nut spinning up and down a bolt with an action soundtrack.

Big fan of the sound and visuals but I'm not sure if there is strategy to this game and it's very difficult to win. Nonetheless, I spent a good 10 minutes going up and down the bolt enjoying the music and being nuked by 8 missiles.

Oh! The art direction (especially the VFX) is incredible, and the OST is cool. But I don't know... the concept isn't bad, but the execution, on the other hand, didn’t quite work for me. Still, you did a great job fitting the theme. GG! ❤

Very striking visuals, I like the simple black and red color scheme, and the attacks the OS throws at you are cool, especially the big pistons.

Though the game feels like there isn't much strategy to it, whether or not you get hit seems mostly luck dependent, or maybe I'm missing something idk.

The premise is sick though. I like the idea of a boss that destroys itself trying to kill you, and the music fits it well :)
