This game is so awesome. I totally forgot about the storm part and I was just enjoying the incremental calm portion leveling up my tree and getting a bunch of monsters. The storm added some nice challenge with having to  defend my tree with my little buddies. I love the pixel art in this game, the friendly monsters look great and the evolutions are cool and the monsters in the storm are very cool looking too. I would've loved to be able to hold down E to spam feed monsters instead of having to press the button a ton of times. Great job on this, I had a ton of fun playing it!

Really enjoyed the art and had fun discovering the pets' new forms as they grow. Definitely a game with a lot of potential if the known issues in previous comments are fixed. Great stuff!

A pretty chill game :). Just wished that the player control wasn't so slippery . Some counter movement should do the trick.

Hope that you'll also rate mine https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2973690

Very interesting concept, really subverted alot of my expectations HAHAHA

There are plenty of areas that I feel could really be polished to make this game pop, I’ll list what I could find if you’re interested!

Polish details: - Movement feels too slippery for someone walking on grass
- janky target selection for interactions, when Im near multiple objects I struggle to feed the pet I want, or I end up feeding when I want to fertilize the tree, etc
- Sometimes pets glitch on the spot, constantly flipping left and right at insane speeds
- The game's audio settings do nothing to adjust the game volumes, and switching out of focus causes the music to glitch and loop weirdly
- My tree vanished after a certain size! and then my money exploded to super massive numbers and sometimes goes into super massive negative numbers as well

Charming game, really hope to see it shine through all the bugs to show its true potential!

I really liked the detail of how the characters evolve. The gameplay is great! The evolved designs of the monsters are very good! Congratulations!

This was a pretty cool game! I liked the concept of having to build up a little army of monster dudes in preparation for a horde of void monsters attacking. I will note that the character movement felt a bit slippery. Really loved all the monster designs, they were really neat!

Great game, the monsters were very cool. I got jumpscared by the storm lol.

Please try out my game too and leave a honest rating, thank you.

Good game!! The attack at the end was not expected. I think I broke the game had kinda infinite money by the end :D

Had 5 pets and fully upgraded tree which disappeared after the last upgrade. Very polished and the evolution of pets was really well done. Could not figure out how to get wood. Tried to get wood after the attack could not get it from trees.

Kudos for making a fun and aesthetic game!! ;D

Developer(+1)

wood is obtained from the big tree, when it is not turned invisible.

Ohhhh :(

Is the tree turning invisible a feature?? I think I was just so focused on upgrading it to the max if that's the case

Developer(+1)

the disappearing is a bug. Might as well make use of it at this point.

Nice game, pretty well made overall! I appreciate the graphics and some overall polish.

I really enjoyed the pet designs and watching them evolve over time. The addition of monsters added a nice twist, but I agree that a little warning before the storm would make it even better. Overall, it’s a charming game with a lot of potential!

Really nice game, loved the different pets.

Nothing could have prepared me for what the "storm" part would be. I thought I'd fed my little guys enough, but clearly not. Cute graphics and neat concept! The controls were a little too slippery for my liking, but overall solid entry.

I think the game was very ambitious but well executed given the time limit. The art is heckin' cute!

Cool resource managment with a creepy twist! I somehow broke my finances with full developing the tree :D

Great game, I love the game, my pet died before the storm come T_T Maybe tweak the movement so it will be less slidey.

Very nice game, it gave me a good experience!

Visuals look good and good music and sounds, the idea is also very unique! Well done!

I like the aesthetic of the game as well as the tone shift later on. I do agree with others though that the player can be a bit slidey at times, and combined with the fact that the pets can sometimes overlap with one another it makes it hard to interact with them for feeding and stuff. But beyond that, I still had an enjoyable experience!
