How does your game fit the theme?
Ladybug Joana must brave a treacherous storm to rescue her children and return home safely. The player must expertly balance and time their actions during moments of calm, when the winds and rain subside, with the intense, turbulent periods that threaten to sweep Joana off course. Mastering this delicate balance is key to overcoming the challenges and reaching the safety of home.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes. Code, art sprites and music/ sounds were made from scratch by the team.

This is tough, but great design! Simple and effective - it made me feel like a tiny bug being blown around in a storm. Perfectly fitting soundtrack as well!
Got really challenging at the end there lol. Really fun platforming throughout, you took a pretty classic platforming mechanic and pushed it really far in a strong direction. Loved it.
Wonderful concept and design, impeccable artstyle, fun and challenging at the same time. One of my favorites of the jam, congratulations!
I don't give perfect scores a lot but this is one of the few games that deserve it. This game is a perfect example of how with great innovations even simple mechanics can be soo entertaining. I am a horrible platform player myself, but I enjoyed every second playing it. Having to plan your steps and execute them swiftly when the wind hit requires soo much precision but its such a dopamine boost if you do it right. My only suggestion would be to give players more room to prepare instead of just blowing them down if they miss the window (especially the one after the red level, well maybe its just me skill issuing lol), Overall a fantastic design, a very fun gameplay and the melody is stuck in my head now
Loving the wind mechanic and how it becomes apart of the puzzle. Really well done!
Challenging but not unfair. The changing wind direction was a cool twist on platforming.
using the wind as a platforming element is a cool idea, and you used it very well. good game :]
The game’s charming art style, innovative storm mechanics, and simple yet challenging gameplay have impressed players. However, some found the wind mechanics frustrating, with one small mistake setting them back significantly, which impacted overall motivation to progress.
also can you review our game? Thanks in advance!
The audio and the art style is really great, it felt great to play as well ^^ Tho I spent about 5-6 minutes on the first strong wind level before giving up, losing progress in there really made it hard to keep motivation to go forward for me ^^;
Overall I love it ^^
Very nice work! I love the music and the cute graphics. The idea of a storm that moves you is simple but genius. One thing I would recommend is to make all the parts independent. I don't like it when one small mistake breaks all the progress I've made. Also, the game is slightly out of theme because it's about the storm and not the moment before it, but it's fine. Nice!
M to jump? Weird binding but figured it out, very hard storm though could have gradually increases strength maybe, that the user first gets the hang of jumping and stuff.
I didn't knew M could jump too haha. It was supposed to be the X button. Thank you for letting me know!
Haha crazy I was pressing all the buttons to find which was jump since there had to be a jump button haha :p Could be my keyboard? I have an AZERTY keyboard layout.
I tested here and indeed, both X and M works for jumping. Maybe in yours only the M works? Well, Mon Joana rally loves being a mon that's why she uses M as well to get to her chindren haha
Great explanation :p haha I'll take that haha what a aMazing experience :p
You did a great job, with some polish I would definitely even pay a small amount for this. The theme is super cute and actually quite innovative to use the storm in such a way. Amazing!
Feedback:
- The level design was slightly frustrating at times mainly due to the long waiting periods. For example in the end of the last level, if you fall down it can take so long to get up again because you need to wait in-between every 1-2 jumps. Same thing with the start outside section of the red level, that one was really difficult as it seemed like timing the jump was almost impossible, slightly increasing coyote time or increasing the platform size would have been a great help. But all the base pieces are there and are solid!
love it! such a good pico 8 game. now all i want is a timer to see how fast i can get to my bebe bugs back home
Very cute, charming and unique game! I liked everything about it: the astonishing art, the music/sound effects, and the simple, yet challenging gameplay. This game is a gem and you guys made an incredible work with it! Congrats
What I liked about the game: The game is charming, simple and reliable idea, cute graphics and plot
What I would change: I think the game has no obvious downsides, a good polished project
Good job!
A great little pixel art game, the wind changes really quick so you have to be on your toes the entire time.
10/10 would brave a storm as a bug again
Cute little artstyle, game mechanics are there. You can understand the instructions in an instant. Nice work. Good Luck!
Great game but I find the wind very frustrating XD
The game looks very easy but the winds makes it very interesting
It's very fun! I hope to get good enough to see the whole level 😅😅 Abraços pra mãe Joana!
