How does your game fit the theme?
The game takes place in a time of peace in a kingdom about to be set to war once the game is over war is set upon the kingdom breaking the calm before the storm.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All code was written from scratch but art, music and ui assets where not

Love the music and art. It's captivating. Good story as well. I could see the conversations turning into little mini-games. Nice entry!
Played through your game on stream, if you wanted to watch me go through it ive got the vod below timestamped to your game
Thanks for the feed back I might look into changing that audio when the game ends like you referenced!! also love the catching of the bot comments at the end of the clip
Nice job connecting all those art music and other assets into coherent creation. Good game
Really nicely made the background and audio were great, It seems a lot of effort has been done.
Deep story and very well implemented audio + music! I noticed you've already got something prepared to deal with the slow text, so my next best input from the perspective of a "game" would be to maybe provide some meaningful actions for the player? Even seemingly small tasks like helping the builder for abit to relive old times as friends could really spice up the perks of having interactions in an otherwise already beautiful side-scrolling storybook. Just my 2 cents!
I really like this idea! I was going for a more visual novel type game but this might be a fun small thing to implement if I get the time!
Really nice graphics and audio imo, but it would've been nice to be able to skip the animations for the dialogue
Your game blends 2D and 3D elements with a captivating story, though the dialogue speed can be frustrating. The pixel art and overall graphics are impressive, but a more seamless text display would enhance the experience. Great effort overall!
Also try our game! thx in advance
Nice Game.
Well I would have loved if there was a way to make the dialogue faster. For example pressing E would make the current sentence complete instantly. After all not everyone reads at the same pace and it gets really annoying to constantly wait for each new word.
yeah that update is queued up and ready for when the voting period is over I didnt think about that while coding but the fix will be out when I can push new updates
wish there was more accompaniment with the story, either visually or gameplay-wise
Nice submission
This game is a true standout! The innovative features and captivating gameplay make it incredibly enjoyable. It's clear that a lot of care and creativity went into this project.
It was a little bit short but i liked it. Also, the in game music settings doesn't work but not a big deal.
Thanks for the heads up will have that fixed first patch after the jam is over
An interesting story. I'd definitely prefer less filler and a way to see the full text without having to wait it scroll out. It is pretty interesting.
nice story, would have loved to skip the text animation, i tried but it just went to the next part of the text which made it a bit slow. Art is looking good also :)
Cool idea, as a person who also had a writer on their game ,it might be a good idea to consider playtesting as i felt that there was a lot of filler and i would have prefered more people to talk to with less to say.
nice story though and charecter dynamics.
would you mind rating mine?

Cool, the dialog should be a little faster or show more text
I wasn't able to finish it but I am not the biggest visual novel fan. I think it does deserve quite some recognition though!
Nice art and music. The text speech is a little annoying, I think after one continue button hit it should show all text before show the next dialogue. Nice game <3
Cool game! I think a bit less dialogue would be good, but still, great job!
Cool game! The texts are a bit slow, but I liked the music and overall audio management. Of course, story is a good read. This is well put together.
Well done. Cheers!
