How does your game fit the theme?
Arena Shooter Rougelike that starts off calm and becomes chaotic as time goes on
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Most of the art assets are free ones found from the Unity Asset store (The Apple is mine though :D) and a large majority of the code is written by me. This is my first ever full game in unity so I had to watch a lot of tutorials online for how to do stuff though :)

I really enjoyed your game! The mechanics are polished, and the upgrade system adds a lot of depth. The graphics are cute and engaging. I found the gameplay fun and chaotic, even if the difficulty ramps up quickly. Great job overall!
Vampire survivors with a better theme, anyone? Nicely done. I enjoyed that quite a bit. As a fellow dev with no previous experience, I can relate to the learning curve you were on this jam. Despite that, this is very fun and well-featured!
Well done on your first unity game!
Cool game.
cool mechanics and upgrade system! really liked the gameplay and feel of the game
it just need a little more feedback when you take damage to really sell the impact
Nice game, good job!
the mechanics were well polished, gj! Cute fruits
The game mechanics and especially the upgrade system are well done. For me the difficulty level gets too hard too fast, but I like the chaos it creates. The game needs some improvements in design and sound direction, but other than that I really enjoyed the game ^^
Very similar to Vampire Survivors but I think it's well executed consireding the time constraint. The auto-aim could be improved because the hitboxes were not very clear sometimes, but overall that was a fun experience, and you managed to implement several kind of weapons, good job!
great try! love the cute graphics :D
in terms of innovation, i'd love to see the vamp survivors formula have your own twist.
that being said, good job on the implementation, really solid for a week!
GG
nice fun game, I could play this for quite some time
The game was quite fun, and the upgrade system seemed very intricate and thought out, although the difficulty ramped up very quickly into round 2 imo, especially with the peashooters dealing a significant amount of damage.
Brotato vibes, but without the microtransactions! I would increase the player's movespeed and decrease their size to increase the skill cap because level 2 is immediately a bit too much tough. Overall, pretty good!
Lots of care into the systems of upgrades which is cool. I think I'm just not a fan of this style of game where you just run and auto shoot. I don't think the game really starts off calm enough in contrast with the bullet hell which comes in pretty quick.
For a first go at an engine this is a good showing though.
On the second wave the game gets a LOT harder lol, I didn't get past it. Any mistake causes an immediate death pretty much. I think that the damage should be lowered - on the mushrooms at least. Also it would be nice to have clearer hints when the player is hit - like a hit animation. That said I liked the game, it's easy to hop back into and pretty satisfying - especially with the axe :). And the peashooters are cute.
The good news is you didn't really miss any content! The game will normally be much slower paced once I'm able to add more stuff, but with time constraints I tried to make up for the lack of depth by increasing the difficulty but it appears I may have overdone it lol
I tried to set the difficulty where I could beat it most times while it still being a decent challenge and kind of forgot to account for that
a.) I know literally how everything works
b.) There are very little QoL features I've been able to implement to help players understand mechanics in the game so every player is going to miss a few things here and there making it more difficult as well. The UI is also a mess, I wouldn't be surprised if people would try the game and not realize you can sell/combine items.
I appreciate the feedback though, thank you! :D
fun to play!
Hey! Congrats on submitting, this is amazing for your first game! Here is my review:
Bugs, (eg. dagger didn't hit many times) etc you probably know and they are understandable for a gamejam
GJ! Keep it up!
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah the UI definitely needs an overhaul! I like the idea of staying in the arena, I could pretty easily just remove the background for now and then at least it wouldn't be such a jarring transition to a new scene.
Also 100% agree about not being able to know when you are hit, I was working on having the sprites flash white on hit but ran into an issue with the trigger correctly playing the animation and I ran out of time. I didn't think of it until after though but I think a little mini hp bar that would appear right above the Apples head when you take damage would help with that a lot as well.
Great feedback though, I appreciate it :)
Really fun, very tough! I feel like I couldn't get strong enough to deal with ranged enemies on level two. However, with a few tweaks I think you have a very fun survivor game on your hands! Thank you for the rating and good luck!
Hey good job! It was kinda hard to hit any enemies since you couldn't really control the weapon, but I managed to get to level 3!
Yeah the melee weapons were a bit tricky to implement, they definitely need some polishing!
Another Vampire survivors like game, I enjoyed this one and also recognized the XP orb, hope and pray Microsoft doesn't so you... or buy your game for 2 billion dollars
