In what way does your game fit the theme?
Two magnets needing to work together to move an objective to the goal. They are much stronger working together as a team, where one can repel and one can attract.
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I made all code and game design myself (with Construct 3), all audio and music myself (with FL Studio and Chiptone), and most of the graphical assets minus Kenney's 1 Bit Pack (used for the tileset and a couple of small things), and the Massive Glitch and Better Outline shaders for Construct 3.

Really cool concept! Might be nice if there was a reason to need the repulsion magnet at some point, I was able to beat each of the levels with just the attracting one and pausing time.
Visuals is minimalistic, but looks great, sounds decent too and gameplay is impressive, however found magnets speed annoyingly slow for me sometimes)

this game deserves more ratings!!! It's very unique, fun and polished. The only thing that I have trouble with is the control. Since there were only two objects, select + click to change the state of the magnet is a bit overkill.

Certainly, the control scheme will be rethought should it be made into a larger project. Already have a bunch of very helpful feedback and suggestions (including yours! :) ) that have given me some ideas as to how I should approach it for a larger version.
Wow. The audio, the visuals, the gameplay. All very well done! My ONLY complaint is that it was a bit confusing at first, but other than that this was a blast. Well done! (congrats on 20 ratings btw, but it deserves more)

Big fan of this one, and definitely think that it was quite a unique take not just on the theme but just in terms of puzzles themselves. It feels like most of the time and effort for this went into the presentation of this game, and on that front, it was absolutely excellent, wit the particle effects, the artstyle, the music to back it up, it all felt extremely polished and satisfying from a visual and audio standpoint. The game itself was mostly cool too, with the differing levels of magnet strength being creatively used. My main issues with this were in relation to the controls, as they never really ended up feeling fluid, being quite slow to move your magnet around to the other side, yet also too imprecise to be able to perfectly position the magnet, leading to a few annoying moments where I was spending a lot of time just trying to properly position myself. Switching between the magnets also felt quite slow, sometimes the clicking not really registering and taking quite a while longer than it should have to swap between them. Still though, other than the controls which need a lot of working on in their current state, the game feel was second to none in this game jam, and that's a really impressive feat.

I definitely agree with lots of these points looking back on the game. I was thinking of rethinking the entire control scheme, making switching and activation keyboard based, (with a UI button for touch screens) and making the player able to precisely control where the magnet goes based on mouse clicks (or alternatively use keyboard controls as a secondary method.)
The magnets should definitely be faster (When I was making the jam build, I worried that would make precision worse, if I redo the controls I don't have that problem anymore.) and they should be able to pass over/underneath each other.

The overall game was filled with juice! Awesome sounds, and music and very creative game play. I found it pretty tricky to maneuver the magnets and felt like they should have been able to go through each other. It was also a little hard to tell which magnet was selected, even though there was a thicker outline. For the controls, I think I would have preferred keyboard keys vs needing to click on the magnets/magnet strength button. Like Q to switch magnets, and E or F to activate them or something. I saw pause was bound to spacebar, but couldn't tell if there was a different key for the magnet strength. The game was great and well polished for such a short time frame. Great job!
Thank you for this in depth feedback, I tried to make it juicy and put in a lot of time into the music and SFX, so it's good you found those as strong points.
Better keyboard controls will certainly come should this game continue in development. I'll probably continue to support the mouse controls, but certainly Q&E/F would be a good start. Definitely want to consider allowing the magnets to pass through each other should it continue, biggest reason I didn't do this currently was it's a little bit tricky to set up with the tile movement (which I used for the magnets) , and will certainly get worked on should it continue!

Wow neat idea. Great music too. I had fun playing this one. Took me awhile to get past the first opening in the second level.
My only (minor) feedback was the slight jump scare when I pressed escape hahaha
Yep, escape triggers the same effect happening as when the enemies (glitches) "interact" with the objective!

Pretty cool and the level design was fun. I think the only problem is that switching between magnets doesn't feel fluid, maybe you as long as you click anywhere on the horizontal level the magnet is it switches to them, and having the ball lose its speed when paused makes the game too easy at least in my opinion. Overall really cool mechanic and fun game!

My game was made to be completable in this jam build in regards to difficulty, so that on average people could play through it, I respect your opinion, and will say that if it does receive a post jam remake, that it will have much more of a range of difficulty (and probably will have stuff like the stop time ability tied to progression and limited in time). Glad you liked the music also!

I finally found your game! A very interesting concept, I've never met a game about two magnets that work together before) Nice arts and sounds (maybe you should make a restart sound a little quieter?). Also, I think magnets maybe a little faster.

I'll definitely keep all of these things in mind, especially the increased magnet speed (I was also planning on adding a function that let the magnets swap places with each other so you don't have as much trouble getting them around the levels) as well as re-balancing the sounds like you suggested.
I'm planning on making this game into a bigger project further down the line so feedback like this is really helpful, and means a lot to me!
Also, there are many more really good games made with Construct by developers way more talented than I am, that you should certainly consider checking out!

Super neat and fitting art for the game and this magnet theme is really nice! I enjoyed playing this uniquely themed game. And as the person below me has mentioned, the music is energetic and covers for parts of the game where I'm stopping to think. For your future versions, it would be good to see some colors in the art (but the art is still very good). Looking forward to your future improvements!

Happy you thought the variety levels were nice, if I end up making a larger post jam version of the game, there will be much more content for sure, as well as smoother difficulty progression throughout (one thing I noticed about people playing the game was they found it quite challenging at times).

This was a fantastic game! The puzzles are very clever and fun to solve since there are multiple ways each level could be solved. The overall design of the levels and audio were great. One thing that would have been nice is a tutorial level. Even after reading the how to play section, it took a couple of minutes of just messing with the controls for me to figure out how the game worked. I think not throwing the player straight into the deep end would be a fantastic addition. Overall, this already has the makings to be a fantastic game if polished and published. It is certainly one I would play! Great work!

Tutorial content and smoother difficulty curve (more levels spaced over the mechanic will lead to both significantly easier and more challenging levels per mechanic) will definitely be present if I continue this game towards a larger release. I just didn't have time to implement tutorial levels in the jam unfortunately, even that main menu "how to play" text was implemented on the last day of the jam that I could work on and it was a significant struggle to get everything that made it into the game done on time.
I'm really glad you enjoyed the version I made for the jam though. People seem to really enjoy this concept of a game and out of everything I have made so far, it's had the most positive feedback and interest, so I am definitely hoping to continue working on it!
