This game is great! The hit feedback is very satisfying and the sprites and color palette are wonderful. It is very easy to see the enemies and player at a glance against the background. Gameplay was fun and responsive. At first I played the browser version, and then switched to the downloadable game. At first I found the distortion effect when dashing to be a little distracting and the bubble particles hid my character a bit too much, but I got used to it quickly.
Again, really fun game! I would love to see it expanded if you ever decide to!
I like the aquatic theme combined with the bullet absorption. The art was great.
Cool! I liked the delayed shooting and the reload mechanic
The timer was also a good idea, no time to chill haha
The ammo mechanic works perfectly for the theme, and with the blue bullets coming out at a very fair rate it never felt too punishing to push my limits and experiment taking down the well varied enemies. the visual and audio feedback for getting hit and landing hits felt very good as well. the art style is simple and effective and the background music is charming. Overall an excellent submission that, for me, checked all the boxes.

This game is great dude! The little details really impressed me, it has a lot of polish. I love the way you have to get bullets from enemies, such a unique mechanic. Also, the art is great. Nice work :)

Nice Theme, Art, Music and Sound Design. All implemented really well into a smooth experience. Really enjoyed the "You have limited bullets and you recharge them by collecting them (from enemies)", which I have seen other games using but it certainly seems at its best here. No Notes.
I love the audio, the art is nice, but the bullets where too slow, making it hard to hit the opponents. I don't know if it was intentional, but it runied the fun a little bit...
Great game! Loved being a little blue fishy! Would've loved if there was a little tutorial or just a little screen that explained the controls. I understood most of the main controls, but the ammo refill thing caused me a bit of trouble. I mean I am dumb so that could be. I died twice after which I understood how that worked :p
Btw, the sound design was so damn great, and the game was juicy af with great feedback to keep you playing! I loved the implementation of the theme and the game!
Great game! It’s very fun to play but what really gets me is that the sounds and the shooting are EXTREMELY satisfying, I love it. Also a very good use of the theme having to get some bullets as ammo, which plays very well with the fact that the enemies have clear patterns that you can easily get. Nice work ^^

The bullet recovery mechanic is really well made, especially the different soundcue to help know a bit ahead of time when you can try to catch a refill !
The sprites also look nice, and i like the large variety of enemies especially for a jam entry.
Only issue i encountered is that at some point there started to be a bit of performance issues, especially when there started to be 4 or more enemies that have burst fire patterns like the shells.
But other than that small hiccup, it was a nice experience, i had fun even if i couldn’t manage to survive till the end XD
I absolutely love the theme, the visuals, and the sound effects. I do have to say the game is a little too big (I couldn’t see the full viewport on my laptop without scrolling). Making the dimensions smaller would make it more accessible.
The theme of relying on enemies to give you ammo was really unique and I enjoyed it. That being said, I had to stop once I got to the snail shell and starfish because I killed the starfish early, and the snail shell doesn’t give ammo for like a solid minute, so if you miss your shots/don’t have any ammo, you’re just stuck there for too long. I’d definitely make the snail shell shoot blue bubbles more often (maybe a faster fire rate in general since you can dodge it for a while just by standing still).
Overall awesome game. I’ll be revisiting it on my desktop to get the full experience!
Definitely good to consider smaller screens. Pressing F should fullscreen and that might help but I’ll look into that for future jams. Thanks!
Also agree the boss is a bit too easy. I didn’t want people to get frustrated if they made it there and died in the jam so it was more meant to be kind of a fun set piece but totally agree it could be harder
I finished on my first try in 5:40.288 with 1 life left. But I didn't realise there was a dash button XD
That was pretty cool, with enough variety and combination of enemy types to keep it interesting. Needing to get bullets from enemies also changed up the strategy and kept it interesting.
The final boss was a little bit easy - because the boss bullet patterns are unchanging it's easy to find a safe position where no bullets will.
Definitely need to look into adding more in game tutorial/help to show off things like dash and ammo pickups. It’s in the description but really the game should make it more clear. Thanks for the feedback!
I love the art-style! The idea of having the bullets spawn from the enemies were super nice, I wish it would've been an indication of when the bullet drop was about to arrive, just to gain a little hint about it.

I really enjoyed this. I did find the bubble shooting a bit annoying as it took a while for them to gain speed and hit my targets making it hard to aim but at the same time understand the intention and thinks it adds a lot. I love all the different enemy types!
