Very interesting mechanics, game is fun and I like very much the graphic, which recalls to my mind Pitfall.

Developer

I'll have to check that title out! thanks for playing

What a fun game to play with, the challenge is middle+ which is just the right difficulty to make the player feels engaging, the mechanic is so great, great game

Developer(+2)

thanks, glad we hit the sweet spot!

That mechanic is amazing, and really fits the theme well! The whole game (art, music, gameplay, etc.) feels very cohesive and polished.  Even the little story was pleasant. Quite impressive for a jam game.

I think the mechanic especially begs for expansion. Could see this as a full game easily.

I did manage to softlock myself at one point, and had to restart. Here is a screenshot of where, just because it's easier than trying to describe it:

I fell behind that log, and was unable to jump back up. Going the other way left me with no way to get back up the pit. This didn't have any effect on my rating; just letting you know in case you have plans to expand this and want to keep this level segment in. If you don't have any such plans, please ignore!

Overall, this is a nice experience. Probably my favorite mechanic of the jam, and one that I really would love to see go further. Great work!

thanks for your enthusiasm and for including the screenshot! glad you enjoyed our game :)

Fantastic game of frog. I did find a few locations where it you alternated back on forth with the arrow keys you could sneak out an extra jump! Very cool concept and great style.

Developer

Thank you. I'm glad you like the game and the art style for it :)

I really enjoyed it! The graphics were really well done and the 2d and 3d elements were really cohesive. Cool idea!

This game made me think at first, what is it so special about it, but then I pressed "f to lick", the game was a bless from start to finish. The art is pretty good, the music fits in well, but the only thing that I disliked was the jumping onto logs part, because I couldn't really land on them correctly, but that might have been an error from my part, but from the programming side I wonder, did you make a coyote jump? Because I think you might have overdone it a bit on the frame window where you could jump. Other than that, the game is really good, and a good submission! (And one last thing I had to notice, correct me if I'm wrong but some of you guys are Romanian?)

thanks for the feedback! we had a big international team including european jammers so we named ourselves Team Sixers in part for the six-hour time difference :)

Nice game. I liked that you could move obstacles to solve the levels. I loved being a frog it reminded me of the Frogs and Flies game for the Atari 2600. It was a nice throw back to my childhood. Good Job!

Developer(+2)

I haven't played that before, I'll need to check it out! thanks for playing and glad our game brought back good memories :)

Nice game, i like the art and love the mechanic. The puzzles were nice, not too easy not too hard. Well done :)

Developer

nice to hear we met the goldilocks standard, thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

This is really cool! The puzzles were tricky but solveable and it was really satisfying to play. I appreciate that there were checkpoints because I think the game would have been frustrating without them. It was short, but fun! Nice job. :)

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Immediately after clicking RunGame, on the loading screen of Unity, the progress bar remains 0 and the game does not start forever.
I have successfully played some other WebGL games.
Anyone know what could be causing this?

I was able to play safely with Microsoft EDGE.
The smooth transition between 2D and 3D is amazing.

If there's one thing I'm curious about, it's whether he'll lick butterflies with his tongue if he uses magic after reverting to his human form.

Developer

Thanks for playing!  Maybe maybe not :D If we win perhaps in "Your Princess Is In Another Dimension 2"

That was fun and cute. I like the twist of shifting the perspective was a cue to use a different control. Maybe it's because it's a frog, is he licking butterflies to that makes him tripped out to move things?

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Developer

haha the butterflies are magic so the licking isn't that kind of trip! if you were to lick the frog, however, that might be a different story lol

Great mechanic being able to move obstacles. For some reason, I found the jumping SFX really funny. Good job on this submission!

Developer

Thnak you so much!

Great concept and neat implementation! I managed to get stuck on the part you're going up from underground once xD but it was just me being stupid with the obstacles haha. Well done!

Developer

glad you figured it out haha hope it was a fun challenge!
