Incredibly unique, really cool game with absolutely lovely art. It's really difficult too, though sometimes it's hard to tell what I'm getting hit by, namely those energy shots are super tiny, as well as sometimes I just slam into the planet and take damage for no discernable reason. Still, super unique, really awesome, absolutely adore the concept and it's a fun game.
It's refreshing to see unique ideas like this. Total vibe!
This game is great. I played a few rounds, though I didn't get very far because the difficulty is a bit steep and it's not obvious how much life I have left.
The idea and artistic style are amazing, the interpretation of climbing is incredible. I missed some instructions on how to make the moon even bigger, I didn't realize until the third try that the moon gets bigger with the pieces of the earth, on the other hand, I think it would be interesting if a warning was given before spawning a building, on several occasions, was falling and the building appeared in my location, so I had to restart
the concept, art and animation are great but i found the game kinda unplayable unfortunately
Amazing art direction and there is a lot of content here to enjoy. However I do feel that the communication surrounding damage should be better because sometimes when I was smashing into the earth I was damaging myself I think? it felt like I was dying out of nowhere. To be honest its a rather minor point because the rest of the game is completely on theme in my opinion and this very impressive entry for a jam.
The aesthetic is amazing, so is the creativity of the idea, though I commonly found myself asking the question of "What even hit me!?" as the bullets were so small and quite difficult to spot sometimes, the health and shield wasn't really explained in game and if it was I was too busy smashing earth. The main thing I'd say is if the moon grew a load of tentacles, we're are pretty much doomed, yet I was always dying on that part due to the busyness of the screen at that point. Overall it was an amazing experience and I really do want to come back to it and finish destroying earth!
Love the premise of this. That opening cutscene was both hilarious and pretty scary
The audio though, absolute perfection. Gave me a sense of unease for the destruction that was being caused and the smash effects felt damn good. The visuals as a whole were amazing as well. I loved seeing the different phase of the moon so to speak.
Like everyone else, I felt like things about how the actual mechanics of the game worked could've been communicated better. But along with that, I felt like the actual implementation and execution of the mechanics could've been better.
For instance, I think having to collect the pieces of the earth you broke off of it to make yourself grow more, but also shield yourself from rockets and bullets is a pretty cool example of dual-purpose design, but giving the player only 1 HP is unnecessarily punishing, especially when you're definitely going to end up in situations where you can't move much and there's tons of bullets and rockets coming at you. I think it would be better if the player had 3 HP just to prevent frustration, or the fire rate of the towers that spawn bullets could be reduce a little, just to give a player more space to actually move.
Similiarly, I also love how slamming the earth makes waves which you can use to shield yourself and also take out turrets. But the problem here is that I'm still not sure how to actually create them. In this regard, you could probably have the player hold the slam button to charge a slam and then release to slam. This way, depending how long the player holds the button, you can spawn waves of different sizes that also travel different distances or something ( eg : If a player just taps the button, a decent sized wave is spawned that just travels only a little and then dissipates. Whereas if they hold it long enough and then release, they create the largest possible wave which travels a long distance ). This would also allow them to be able to dodge, since they'd be controlling when exactly they'd slam as well. I say this because the player character really needs more control on his mobility.
All that said, I think you guys still managed to make a good game here none the less. Kudos to the entire team
The game is extremely beautiful and inviting, the premise is interesting and the atmosphere is great, but I couldn't figure out how to play properly because of some communication issues. Would love to see another round of polish on this one!
Love the visuals, the music, the overall mood! I often had a bug when everything freezed (on the web browser) but it didn't impac too much – awesome entry :)
Cool and simple mechanism. Love arts and animations. I feel that it is too easy to die, however, every time I restart the game, the longer I manage to survive. Maybe next time I will eat the Earth ^ ^
love this game so much ,so good game art and mood , keep playing for a long time to see what will happen ,wish fore more content to play
Great game! Exception style, atmosphere and storytelling.
I do think it's a little too brutal. You never now when the debris you collect will give you one more HP or will make you grow and loose all but 1 health point.
Awesom art style and color palette, the slam is super satisfying! Awesome job!
Really unique game with a great style. Couldn't play it for very long because it kept freezing and crashing after my moongirl grew one size. However if it ever gets more stable I am excited to play more. :)
Completely understandable! We do recommend playing the windows version as it is more stable. Thank you for checking out the game!!
I like the style and the music, just can't figure out how to dodge the rockets? I keep dying to them all the time.
Thank you so much!!
For dodging you have two options: you can slam down at just the right moment to avoid hitting them and move as you rise or use the waves generated from slamming/growing to eradicate them.
We do plan to release a patch and balance the game more based on all the feedback we've gotten. While we did intend the challenge, we do see where we could've been more clear about things. We appreciate the feedback though!! :D
The visuals are just off the charts with this one. Wow.
Thank you so much! We all did our best to figure out the right style <3
lots of fun! love the art here!
Thank you!! Means a ton that you enjoyed the game!!
I'm more into saving the earth but this is pretty cool. Love the art style!
Thank you!! We do as well but sometimes a break from the usual can be fun :D
Good game, big mimic brother!
