I do like the aesthetic of the game
Music is nice
The concept and the puzzles are nice, but the use of the mechanic or the AIs don't feel very clean
Sometimes the inputs stop working, but a reset and it's fine

Umm... I can't move for whatever reason... and how do you exit the options menu? Game looks pretty good tho.

Developer(+1)

Press R to restart if you bump into the freezing up issue. Unsure what causes it. Only happened once on my side, so we couldn't catch it in time. You press escape to exit out of the options menu.

Hmm... I did press "R" to restart, but it only kept getting worse... Like at the start I could move about 5 times before freezing, but after a few restarts I could only move 1 time before it freezes.

Developer(+1)

That's really weird. I've never encountered that, and I can't seen anyone else encounter that either. Could I maybe ask what browser you're using? In case it's browser dependant?

It could potentially be hardware dependant too, but I don't want to pry.

I use Chrome on Windows

And it happened on the first level... Level selection screen also has the issue.

Developer(+1)

Really sorry about this. I can't seem to recreate the issue you're having on any of our machines.

Submitted(+1)

No worries, guess I'll be rating this based on what others said then

Developer(+1)

Added a little notice on the game page for people.

The retro gameboy vintage style is really cool, i love it ! You know there is a jam in a week all about making gameboy stuff ?

Developer(+1)

Wasn't aware. Though the team is a bit tired :P So we'll have to talk about it.

Fun puzzle! Wasn't expecting that I can miss the enemies so a lot of planning has to go in.

Submitted(+1)

These were really well made puzzles and the art style was to die for! Seriously well made game with a surprising number of levels!

Submitted(+1)

Really cute theming and some clever puzzles that make use of all of the implications of the mechanics. Very high quality!

Submitted(+1)

Probably one of the best overall games I've played so far. Great theming, great art, and great music. The max size death sound legitimately jumpscared me the first time I heard it lol. The most unique and fun take on the literal "scaling" interpretation I've seen so far.

Really cool puzzle game, reminded me of Crypt of the Necrodancer. Love the music and the art, I especially liked that the scaled version of little dipper actually uses different art, well done!

Really cool entry. I do think some of the puzzles are on the simpler side, but that it works well enough for getting the concept across.

Developer(+1)

Yeah. Overall the plan was to keep it simple as the aim was to have this be a vertical slice of the design concepts that could be presented. More complex puzzles were cut to create an experience players of a petty wide range of age groups could reasonably complete.

Submitted(+1)

Very cool, reminded me of the minigames within the game Observer. Well done!

Developer

Awe thank you so much. I need to check that game out.

Very polished game, liked the artstyle, the main character having a bigger sprite and not changing the scale was a nice touch. I don't know how but it bugged in the "A game of chicken" level and it got stucked. Nonetheless, very good entry and I had a lot of fun!

Developer

yeah, if you get stuck press R, I think there's something wrong that level in particular.

For me this is one of the most pure fun experiences of the jam so far.  Ultra simple, ultra cute, tight, well-designed puzzles.  Plus, a dog theme will always get me.  Awesome job.

Cool game, I like it. I'd add some way to move without having to click a button each time as my wrists quickly start feeling the repetitive movement.

Developer

Yeah. That's planned for the post jam polishing update.

It was originally intended to be in the game, but we ran into some issues.

This is easily the best puzzle game of the jam for me so far. The mechanics are well thought out and unique, and you really need to think a moment for some level. Great job! I did have one problem though, sometimes the game would just stop reading my movement inputs, only resetting the level worked. I could get around it by moving slowly instead of mashing the button.

Played it all the way through, the credits screen is 10/10.

Developer

Yeah, I'm not quite sure why this occurs. I've noticed it once on my side. If I were to hazard a guess, I think Unity is messing up the Ray casts I've set up for the custom collision system. Sorry you bumped into that, it's rather rare. (Only has happened once on my side)

fun and really easy to understand game

Nice game! The size mechanic was implemented well and I liked the variety with timing puzzles and enemies chasing the player. Also, I enjoyed how Dipper looked in the credits screen 😂

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

I really like how the level transition names fit the main mechanic of the level's puzzle.

Developer

Awee~ Thanks! Someone finally mentioned it. Hehe.

Submitted(+1)

I like how you handled size changes in this game, especially on level 3(?) where you show how you have to skip a beat to kill a skellington. Pretty good!

Developer

Thank you!

This was such a fun game! A simple puzzle that gets more complex with each level, this was a really cool game.

Submitted(+1)

You really know how to use the simple mechanics to the edge! Great job!

Submitted(+1)

I see Chihuahua, I like. Love little dipper and the mechanics. Especially the "rhythm" mechanic of up- and downsizing. Good job!
