Congrats on 2nd place!

Absolutely deserved ranking. The atmosphere was thrilling. The robot is terrifying. Jump scared every time he crashes through. That final fight was intense but so satisfying to learn. Really well done

This is pretty good. Very nice art and audio. Got pretty difficult after a while that I could no longer memorise the patterns. I enjoyed it though.

super atmospheric! and really spooky!

Absolute fair play, well done. Got reaaallly hard towards the end (224 deaths total lol), I think I only kept going out of spite tbh, but the satisfaction was worth it. The gameplay feels really solid though maybe a but more reaction time on the fireballs would be nice. In terms of visuals and sound its just got everything. The dark theme with bright colours for attacks is something I've been wanting to do for ages good to have such a great example

you know, great art and sound and level design, and boss design, and all and all the praise you deserve, that said the only thing that got me kinda turn off by the game is that it is more a game about memorizing the enemy pattern instead of properly react to it, we got very VERY little time to react to what's happening, to the point of it not being possible to do it (react), only to memorize and act after having already died at least once to the pattern, if you move forward with the game, I'd give more time for the player to telegraph what the movement of the robot will be. Like the big laser eyes could have a longer "chargin-up" animation, the little laser I think it's on point, the fireballs that come are also good, I'd just make the fire-wall more distinct from the fireball attack, and the flying up to you, in all fairness, just need a little more time between it appears in the screen and the attack connecting, also a way to telegraph where the robot will be flying in the screen would also be great.

That all said, if that's really a "memory" game you were going for, you've hit the nail, the game is, frankly amazing.

Also, the machine is like, REALLY scary haha, legit will have nightmares

Thanks! The memory issue is mostly a symptom of my philosophy of making the machine intimidating. My main priority was to make it scary, not necessarily fair, and that ends up making the final sections a test of memory and timing instead of reaction. I do agree though, the attacks could've be more forgiving.

To get the style score that this did, there must have been 15 people who rated it 5 stars and 1 person who rated it 4 stars. Amazing.

Also nice game.

The Game is absolutely amazing. The them isn't exactly the best in this but overall this is a very good game. Music is great combined with a Brilliant art style to boot. The movement feels smooth. The best way to describe this is if Limbo and Celeste had a child and that child was very awesome.

The game is difficult but it's very satisfying and nothing feels over the top and impossible. The use of Check points is cunning.

I Really hope this would turn into a big game, Would play it.

THIS GAME IS STUNNING!!!

Absolutely astounding, friend, this game is beautiful and really makes me feel like a small rat escaping a giant machine. Bravo!!!!!

My only suggestion is to make the bouncy ball thing a little more obvious, though it was well tutorialized by me dying a few times before I realized there was a *thing* in the middle of the spikes I could jump off.

Vibes of the game are very good. It’s a lot of gameplay for a game jam entry, and again the art, though primarily dark, comes though very well.

The art is amazing. Levels are well built, and some of the sequences are so well crafted that for a moment I forgot it was a jam game. Great work!

Visuals and sounds are fantastic. Becomes a nice challenge towards the end. High level of polish, amazing entry.

Challenging, but rewarding. Love the animations and interactions with the big guy.

Great game. Graphics, music and gameplay all on point. Reminded me a lot of a mobile game called dont look back.

God this is good. The movement is snappy and well-made. As well as the ambiance and tension! The Machine is a legitimate terror.

Thanks! I spent a lot of time trying to make the Machine intimidating and it's nice to see it pay off!
