Love the idea of using gravity to slingshot around planets! So fluid!

Really fun concept and the controls are very smooth. If you added a series of levels for a gentler difficulty curve, I think you'd have a full game. That's amazing for only 96 hours!

This is incredible! It feels so good to get the path you want. The visualizations are perfect for planning without giving too much away. A wonderful experience that left me wanting more!

Developer

thank you, we are glad you liked the visualizations <3

A really cool idea! I had a bit of trouble playing with orbits, but I still found the gameplay loop really cool and fun. Congratulation to the whole team!

Really smart implementation of the theme with a highly polished aesthetic and game feel! I had a few frustrations with the gameplay, though. I often found myself trying to click and drag the fruit from the planet lanes down into the cargo hold, rather than fruit from the supply. It might be best to separate the UI for these to two different sides of the screen, so that it is easier to at-a-glance click the correct thing. I also found it was much easier to click R and respawn after delivering fruit to a planet, rather than trying to aim myself back to the center, which I am not sure whether that is the intended design. Lastly, as others noted, it is much quicker to shrink the asteroids and just wait for the ship to point to the right planet, rather than trying to create a slingshot system. I think adding more immovable objects that would block you from getting to the planet could force more of the interesting slingshot gameplay.

But I only have all this feedback because this is a game design ripe with possibilities, so overall great work!

Thank you so much for the really detailed feedback, we will implement your suggestions in the near future.

Incredible game! Really fun and mind-bending.  But I also found that you can just shrink all the asteroids and shoot past them, which makes it a bit too easy.

Very challenging but fantastic concept.

Incredibly satisfying when you land on a planet after a few chaotic orbits of an asteroid.

The trajectory indicators are super helpful while also adding to how cool the overall aesthetic is.  Love this entry.

Interesting mechanics for a transportation game!  I love slingshotting things around with gravity.

I like this one a lot. Really does a good job of capturing the theme. I found the control description a bit confusing at first, since I wasn't sure why right clicking on the planets didn't deliver cargo. I would rocket to point towards the mouse rather than circle the planet until fired. Otherwise, all around solid game.

Oh wow, this game is awesome! I always enjoyed these 2d gravity simulation type games, and this one is definitely high on that list! Absolutely loved the idea and the polish!

HOLY! I love this idea a lot! I felt SO cool changing orbits, I wish the game wasn't time based because I was struggling really hard to get orders in on time and manage inventory while hitting those SICK lineups. Overall I loved the simple visuals and the slo mo was a life saver. Not to mention you had a full tutorial which was SO NICE <3

This is such a well-made game with a really great concept! I personally feel like it would work extremely well as a puzzle game without the timer, because the execution is still a challenge but it's nice to have some time to think and plan

AMAZING art and sound. Really enjoy this! And I believe someone is playing this game to make the sun devour my ship in Outer Wilds

This is such an wonderful game. As a physicist, I love the concept of being able to manipulate the orbit in real time so much. It really feels intuitive and behaves the way I’d expect it to. A couple points of feedback though:

  • I think the timers on the deliveries were too harsh because it definitely takes a while to get proficient at steering the rocket. The slow-down feature does help, but it was still a bit hard. So I would say that it hit my enjoyment because of that.
  • The screen wipes in the tutorial seemed a bit buggy, but this is just a minor nitpick.
  • I like that the fruits had to be stacked like blocks in the cargo hold, so you couldn’t just stuff everything at once.

Overall, very cool concept. I just wish there was a timer-less mode (or a training mode where you could practice), but you can chalk that up to a skill issue.

Thank you for your very kind comment, i agree with your points :) we are going to add a Chill Mode in the near future.

This is very well implemented and thought out. Adjusting the gravity field in real-time and adding slow motion for it is just top notch. Great Job!

The only thing I'd fix in this game is the text speed in the tutorial section. The text is a tad bit slow. But that's a minor issue. I don't mind it at all.

Wow this concept is super cool!!!

super creative game ! took me some time to understand (I shouldn’t have skipped the tutorial) but is fun once you understand it. I’m terrible at it tho, but I least I undestood it! great job !

At first I was surprised how much your game resembles our game, though it seems even more polished ;) I really enjoyed playing it. Actually landing on the planets is a really cool concept.

Indeed our games have very similar concepts (thanks for the review btw). I love the idea of being able to change the mass of the asteroids, and the style and theme Interplanetary Fruit Distribution is really fun.

Developer

Yes, i love your game, it was one of the first i played from the submissions, great cover art too.
