The audio and visuals are stunning! Gameplay could use some balancing, though. It’s very difficult on the first level. Orders appear and disappear too fast.
Super cool graphics and epic music. I loved the setup and story but I had trouble with the gameplay as I'm bad at this kind of minigame and couldn't get a weapon forged in less than 7 hammer hits. I think it's really hard to force the player to forge 3 consecutives hit. Super game anyway, great job !
Stellar artwork and sound design. The minigames were fun too although the main formula doesn't stray too far from something like Overcooked! or PlateUp that isn't necessarily a bad thing. This really lends itself well to the theme.
Extremely polished entry from a supusedly really talented team. This game with a map of levels and new items and challenges could be a commercial project!!! Super impressed
Probably the most EPIC depiction of smelting and forging ever conceived.
Love the epic music, the tone and graphics. The dramatic angle during the forging minigame.... so perfect! You nailed the atmosphere here. I got 10/25 and I can't see how I could possibly get to 25! I was going as fast as I could, man! Really fun tho, love the unique character design! The sound of the hammer hitting metal was soooo satisfying too. Super well done. Bravo
Tricky but fun and just gorgeous!
Amazing project, nails the forge theme perfectly. I couldn't get very far in it due to the difficulty of the minigames. With RSIs in both hands/wrists there's a limit to how much enjoyment I can get out of QTE style challenges.
Love the music and graphics tho, stellar job!
Really beautiful art in this one. Hard to fault anything really. The minigames were a bit tricky but that adds nicely to the frantic nature of it all.
God this is so well done.
I found the minigame fairly unforgiving -- I'm not sure if this was because I was getting a tiny bit of lag from wireless controller / playing in a browser or a skill issue (NARRATOR: it's definitely a skill issue). Even so I love this so much and your team should be super proud. I will say managing to nail an inspired piece is super rewarding.
Art and music are perfect for this and even the plodding speed of Bert which I normally would hate in this style game fits the story so well that I'm in love. Only critical feedback I've got is that I found the targeting along the bottom row to be finicky -- i suspect because Bert only has a left/right facing -- and the timing is maybe a bit tight leading to a high skill floor.
All around bang up job folks.
My wife asked me why there was epic music playing from my computer.
But seriously, the polish on this is insane for a game jam.
Is this hand-drawn art? Kudos to the artist, mad talented!
I told myself I was too old to have the reaction speed to make a legendary weapon. But I just couldn't give it up.
Eat that BERT!!!
Fun! I enjoyed the art and music.
Great entry! Super challenging. Art and music are wonderful! One thought on the gameplay loop would be an option to cancel out of the mini game and move on to other tasks when you run out of time on the item you are making, but having said that this was one of the aspects that made it such a challenging game. Great job!
Great simple gameplay loop, finally hitting that perfect forge will the yellow bar was great (after many failures)
Great game guys, love the soundtrack and visuals are insane, love bert! A+++
Awesome work, art and music are wonderful, generally intuitive. I think the minigame is a really simple one that’s easy to get behind. I love it!
I love love loooove the art and the smithing minigame. As other's have said, amazingly polished product for a game jam with very satisfying art & game-feel. I wish I could carry two items at once, but maybe that would make the game too easy.
Thank you for the feedback. Our programmer was thrilled with the praise for the mini-game.
We did consider telling Bert the bull to carry two items at once to speed things up, but he insisted on taking one at a time because that's how his family has always done it for generations, and he didn't want to break tradition. We thought it best not to contradict a bull with a hammer.
Once again, thank you for the feedback.
great graphics and a really fun gameplay loop! extremely well polished too
Thank you for the feedback.
After many years of forging, Bert the bull has refined his production methods and can do everything with his eyes closed.
Once again, thank you for the feedback.
A+, awesome work! visuals and music are nice, system feels intuitive.
Thank you for the feedback.
Bert the bull organized the workshop himself to make everything as accessible as possible.
Once again, thank you for the feedback.
Great submission! You've done a lot of polishing and the game feels really good! The art is amazing, the music and sound effects build an immersive experience.
Thank you for the feedback.
The forge playlist was chosen by Bert the bull himself. He says it complements the hammer beats.
Once again, thank you for the feedback.
Wow! Well done all around! Game felt very polished. It's a bit to stresfull for me, but it sure was a lot of fun!
Thank you for the feedback.
Believe it, Bert the bull finds it stressful too, but it's the profession he loves, so what can we do?
Once again, thank you for the feedback.
