Amazing! It was a short but captivating and atmospheric experience!
Neat! It reminded me of some text-based quests in old-school RPGs. I also like how rich your options panel was, and I clicked through all the colour options :) Was hard to resist choosing the matrix though :) Great submission!
Top notch sound design and atmosphere, great work. Parabéns!
Thanks, man! o/
Atmospheric is the key word here. Well done. The smallest bit of criticism I'd have is that at one point I apparently dusted off a console for three hours straight, but I'm assuming that's just random exploration barks randomizing in an unfortunate order.
I'd also mention something about how it's a shame it ended so quickly, but I think I'd be throwing stones while living in a glass house :]Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, you know how probability works, I had 15+ possible options to pick and it still picks the same one three times in a row lol.
This is one of the best games I've played on here yet! I really liked the engaging storytelling and the mechanics. I was highly immersed and would love to see a full game out of this.
Thank you for the kind words! I'm glad you liked it, and I'll probably keep working on the game ^^
Too bad it was so short. I was just getting in to it. The mechanigs for the game worked nicely and added atmosphere for the game. I also like that the settings were part of the game just a little more for the story and it would be really nice game.
This could be a super cool storytelling medium, but as it stands right now, it seems kind of empty. At the end of the game, I was surprised at how little of the backstory we got to read. Also, since time only passes when you take an action and there's not that much to do around the base, it feels more like an idle game than a resource management game.
Is there more planned for a sequel?
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I know that there is no much content for each especially when I wanted to have a roguelike experience, but I decided to make it work with a really simple room layout or I wouldn't finish in time. There is some randomness to the exploration, but I do want to implement external exploration later and then you would be able to explore the world and get a real roguelike experience.
I do want to keep working on it, but I also loved participating on a game jam and I want to do it again. I'll try to find a balance hahaha
The atmosphere and presentation are outstanding. The menus are very satisfying to move around and are really well designed. I liked all the CRT color options and visual effects. The story telling through the text logs was very interesting and engaging.
The only negative thing I could say is that, gameplay-wise, after you explore and read the logs in the 4 rooms available, there is not much else to be done. I activated and operated the rooms a few times, temperature droped a little, then I activated the server room and the game ended (really cool ending by the way!).
I can really see this game expanded upon, with more rooms to explore, puzzles and maybe more base management mechanics. The storytelling and atmosphere are on point, though. You trully have a really solid base to make a complete immersive experience. Great job!
Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately I needed to rush the game mechanics, I had only one day left and I know that is too easy with no challenges or balance. But I want to make this whole room exploration mechanic (and add external exploration too) as a roguelike experience. The idea is that each gameplay will be different, presenting more variety of rooms in random order, and make each room really dependable on other ones so you would really need to come up with a strategy to beat the game.
Sound very cool, hope you get to finish it :)
Interesting Idea, when started, I though that will be a boring game, but I enjoyed a lot. Love the atmosphere.
The CRT effect and the colors options was a nice touch.
Excellent work.
I like this game. The introduction wasn't too long, so I didn't get bored and could eagerly play the game. Using 'time' basically as a currency you had to choose which action to take so that you didn't loose. It reminded me of a sort of resource managing game, while being a story game altogether. I also really liked the graphics and the freedom to even choose you own colors :D
Thank you for making the game! I played through the whole thing!
Thanks for playing! Glad you like it, I love resource management games but it is definitely a hard genre to choose for a game jam hahaha, so it ended up being more of a story game than anything else xD
I really like how you used a clever UI and atmosphere to basically make a fun text-based adventure. I spent a lot of time reading because I was really into it. I love the CRT shader too.
Thanks for the comment! I was afraid that there was too much text but I'm glad you could enjoy it!
I love the retro console style, and the color themes are a nice touch, very good visual and audio design. Maybe I would have added a couple of sounds while doing the activities, but I'm not sure, I don't know if too much would not fit with the minimalist style. Solid submission, very nicely done.
Thank you for the feedback! I probably can add a few sounds to the tasks, I'll try this!
Lovely game! I was excited to see the text-based terminal style of it, and I thought you did a great job with the atmosphere. It was pretty straightforward to get the hang of, and ultimately seemed pretty easy to balance the resources. I would love to see more in this style, especially with some kind of expansion of the exploration and resource management elements!
Thanks for the comment! I do want to add more content to it, my idea was to have a roguelike where you could play infinitely, so there is room for a lot of improvements over this.
Man this was super cool. I loved the settings menu and being able to change the screen to your desire, while also having a selection of presets. The ambience sound and visual design were perfect and really fit the mood of the game.
I'm glad you liked it! I really though about changing screen colors since the very first minute working on this project lol - I needed to find a way to implement it xD
when i saw the name i thought it will be about guns lol didnt expect a computer. Over all 8/10 keep up the great work!!!!!
lol yeah, it does sound like a gun's name hahaha - thanks for the comment!
Saw your game and thought "great minds think alike". Loved the aesthetics, music, the whole vibe. I really liked the way the time and temperature were tied to exploration, and would love to see an extension of the story!
Thanks for the comment! I just played your game and this is what I love about game development, similar ideas are turned into very different games and that's awesome!
Immediately gives you that oldschool hackit vibe. Great use of shaders for a very authentic retro feel. Couldn't figure out the base mechanics in a reasonable amount of time, and wasn't sure why I should either. But only playing around with the presets in the settings menu still made my day.
Thank you for the feedback! Yeah, the mechanics are not so clear and it has a lot of flaws on it, I kinda make it work only on Dec 21 and I didn't have time to actually balance them or create a better "meaning" to it. But I will improve this, it is one of my top priorities!
I really liked how this game played. I enjoyed the setting and how you tied everything together in a nice puzzle! It's great!
Thanks! I want to add some roguelike elements to these rooms in the future, I needed to hold myself for this jam or I wouldn't be able to submit lol
Loved the atmosphere. Terminals are great user interfaces :)
Thanks! Yeah, I tried my best to create a simple and fun experience with a terminal (terminals can be scary for people who are not familiar with them haha)
