I love love love the minimalistic artwork - the 2d doodle-like, monsters is such a vibe. I love the freeze mechanic - it looks like it makes a random shape, but I loved that touch. Really fun game, would be cool if I were rewarded for parries (or frame-perfect freezes).
Love it! This game gives me nostalgia for my childhood, reminding me of the cool flash games with similar art styles and simplicity I used to find on the Newgrounds website.
Impressed with the black and white graphics, everything is well discernable and good looking.
Nice freezing poses as well.
At least one typo in Steve’s description (buit -> built), and the intro text says unfreeze with ‘up’, which should be ‘down’.
Cool game. The artstyle is so unique and has its own sort of vibe to it. The gameplay was pretty simple but it works well. Great job!
It's a pretty simple idea, but it works well. The art is also simple but I found that it has its personality, the truth is in general it is quite fun, but I must say that the part of the enemy that remains on the ground is a little complicated to appear so soon. or perhaps giving the player a little more speed would have helped.
Great work!
thanks for the honest review im trying to decide if i should make this game my first commercial game so i want as much feedback as possible!!!
Great game, simple yet fun and audio is on point.
Fun game, kinda freaked me out ngl but love the overall atmosphere and aesthetic, keep up the good work!
Had a lot of fun. Really good use of the theme and tense in all the right ways. My only (very minor) gripe would be the parallax made me feel like my movement was a little too slow. It definitely helps with the tension (especially with Bill) otherwise great work, so far my favorite game of the jam!
Good game, the audio design is very nice! Also enjoy the minimalist graphics.
Fun game. Easy to get the hang of it. I like the style.
Music and sfx in here slaps, really adds to the suspense, visuals and aesthetics(the animation) is pretty cool adds to the ominous vibes. Controls are really intuitive and easy to play. I love the game's narrative and lore
Very fun game! It reminds me of older NES games. I played it multiple times, Bill was challenging but a fun challenge for sure.
Pretty solid game! I thought the visual and audio design were strong, and I liked the little lore inclusions.
Cool game it game play loop is very good :}
Super sick game! I really enjoyed going through the forest and the ambience is actually quite fun and nice. The art style was soo cool, 1-bit x high-res pixel art and its just outlines, I would call it programmer art at its finest. I feel like the one thing missing would be a highscore system, because I'd really like to know how far i made it through the forest. Good job on the great game!
Graphics are cool and the controls are chilled. Nice One
Really cool music! And I loved the vibe of the visuals + music. I don't seem to understand how the bestiary is unlocked - I clearly avoided all 4, but only the first two are unlocked.
Nice submission and a great first try!
Very fun art style and game play. Good job!
I really liked the artstyle and how it came together. I always got killed by this eye thingy? Nice game :D
Was doing great but then I got stabbed by Bill. Great art style and music! Nice job!
