This is a cool idea for a puzzle game! Really like the aesthetic of 'flipping' between form! My little nit pick is maybe if there's a way to preview what the other side is before committing could be nice. And some extra sfx for switching, a warning to how many switches is left would give the game a nice touch. Still, a great game indeed!
Pretty good! It's a cute little puzzler, some of the levels were a bit of a challenge to sort out. Which is good in a puzzle game.
My little critique is that if you're going to tell me that switching planes is corrupting you, you should show it somehow too. Even just a little static at the borders of the screen or something of that nature would go a long way.
This one was nice, good work!
The puzzles were fun! The mechanics were fun, and there is definitly a lot of flexibility for more mechanics, like blocks that can be pushed and move on both sides. A small thing is allowing people to hold a direction to continue to move that way so they don't have to keep pressing the same button.
Nice art and music!
The puzzles were fun to solve and the switch mechanic was well implemented!
Adding sound effects for walking, plane switching and clearing a level would be great!
As additional feedback to the player as they approach the switch limit, maybe consider adding some visual cues on Gura herself as she returns to blue Gura. Maybe add a faint red glow that grows stronger with each switch or change the sprite to show she's becoming "someone else".Overall, I enjoyed this very much.
Sound feedback is definitely something i want to add later on. I was actually planning to have Gura emit some red particles once she can't switch anymore. Thanks for your feedback!!!
Really enjoyed the game, short and sweet! The puzzles were well designed, and I could easily imagine this being expanded into a full game.
The only thing I didn’t really get was the reason for the switching limit. I instinctively kept switching back and forth to see what is on the other side, only to lose due to too many switches, causing a reset. Seeing as figuring out the space is so integral to the puzzles, I’d personally get rid of the limit, or at least add an option to peek at the other side without switching. But ultimately, that didn’t detract from the experience much. Good job!
Thanks for the feedback!! I added the limit in order to add a bit more challenge + base one or two levels on this mechanic, making it so that you have to properly plan your pathing. I never thought about it being a way to look at the other side while designing the mechanic, but it's a very interesting idea that didn't occur to me xD. I'll definitely think about a way to check the other side of the board, thank you for your comment!!
Nice game, the main mechanic is pretty simple to get but results in a lot of complexity and possibilities. I wish there were a way to view the other side of the board or rotate the camera, there were some times where I was close to losing a level just because I wasn't totally sure where I'd end up on the other side. Great simple art style and presentation! Good work!
This is so cool; a little memory, a little box pushing, and some great level design. The switching is so slick gameplay and UI wise, and I like how you combine these simple ideas into these engaging levels. This is already so solid, I think this can go pretty far with a little smoother ux and a lot more puzzles
Innovative concept, but some level design/mechanics seems can be more expended
Great puzzle design! I love the mechanic of switching between planes and the boxes do a lot to increase the complexity despite being so simple to understand. I did get juked by the menu button since I thought it was a pause or would take me to a level select, so I had play through 1-11 all over again, but since I knew the solutions it wasn't too bad. My one complaint about the mechanics is being unable to see if a tile is light or not when theres a box on it.
I love puzzle games and this was definitely a hit! If you do end up making it so you can hold an arrow key to keep moving, like I saw you say in another comment, please make sure theres a delay between moving once and just walking if there's more stuff like this where your position matters, but I think you already know that.
Overall very polished game with cool puzzles and mechanics!
Short but fun, excellent puzzle design!
The controls could be more polished but that's a nitpick.
Really innovative concept of having the player literally look at things from different perspectives to solve the puzzle. Simple stages of boxes but it works well. Love the art as well!
Lovely sprite work, and the level designs are pretty solid! Everything feels really polished and smooth.
Great job!
Coming up with a good concept for a puzzle game is one thing, but actually designing different levels is a real challenge. Too easy, the game feels boring. Too hard, it becomes frustrating. I think this game has just the right balance in difficulty. Great job!
You might make a few mistakes before solving the puzzle, and sometimes confusing—but with a bit of observation, you figure it out. There were moments when the solution was right in front of me, and I thought, “What the heck am I doing?” (Yeah, I keep pushing that block on level 11 forward.)
The visuals and music are also well done. I especially love the moment when the music coincidentally matches the timing of switching planes.
Thank you so much!!! I love puzzles and I'm very happy to hear that the ones designed for this game did their work!!
I liked the game, the camera perspective is also chef kiss, with the 2d sprite of Gura. the puzzles were great. The camera transition feels smooth as well. Great use of Godot Engine!
Only thing was that I didn't realize that the Left button wasn't a pause menu
I'm happy that you liked it!!! Also sorry about the menu button TvT now that i think about it, it can be annoying if you are some levels into the game
As someone who loves puzzle games I do like this game really much! (so much that i kinda wanna have more levels XDDD) Nice Job! Controls also feels smooth. There is just one small thing I would wish to have. And thats that if you hold movement, that you keep moving into a direction instead of waiting and clicking again for movement.
a fellow puzzle enjoyer. im happy that you enjoyed it!!! its difficult to tell how good the puzzles are when you are the one making them xD. thx for the feedback, this wont be my last grid-based game!
