The swinging felt so satisfying!  It took me a bit to realize I need to actually point to the target to grab them, but after that the game really clicked. Very fun gameplay, and a lot of polish with the music and SFX. Having a combo notification was also really cool.

Thanks a lot ! Glad you enjoyed it :)

Very nice!!!

Thanks :)

That's how you jam right here. Creative, fun, and very o point theme-wise. Good job Szym!

Developer

Thank you very much :)

Really fun! The story really added some nice depth and the mechanics were solid. It would have been nice to see some powerups or enemy variety to keep the gameplay engaging

Developer

Thanks :)

I agree. Bonus drops & more enemies types where both  on my list of features but I had to cut it short to meet the deadline. ^^ I might add that after the jam.

Thanks again for playing and for the feedbacks :)

Amazingly fun game! This is a really unique and awesome take of Asteroids! I honestly can’t really think of anything specific I could really critique about this game. The only thing I can think of, is that I think the space objects need a larger hitbox for tractoring. There were a few times I could have sworn my mouse was on an asteroid but nothing happened when I clicked. Over all, that’s nothing major and could be argued away with a simple “git gud!”, but that’s all I could think of, lol. Wonderful game! Well done!

Thank you very much ! Glad you enjoyed ^^

It was very nice to watch you play it :)

Great execution on the theme with a compelling mechanic.
I discovered I've had an itch to wail on my enemies with a space-mace, and scratched it all in one fell swoop. That's satisfaction money can't buy :D

Great work, well polished!

Developer

Haha ! Thanks a lot ^^

Glad you could scratch that itch with my game :)

I loved the concept of this game it was really fun to play.

Wow, this game was awesome. Everything from the theme and visuals to the gameplay was phenomenal. I love how you can smash enemy ships with meteorites, and the teleporter mechanic felt really intuitive and fun to use. It felt great to play from start to finish, and I just could not put it down. Excellent work!

Fun mechanic. Took me a bit to get the hang of but it was predictable. I bet you could explore this more and have the ship movement be tied to swinging somehow too. Well done!

Developer

Thanks :)

That's a good idea ! I'll give it a try, see how it goes.

Thanks for the feedback :)

Realy nice mechanic. I needed to change my thinking when I have to release  the Asteroids at first I always released them when they are between me and the enemy so that they vanished in a 90° to them. xD

Would be nice to see some Powerup like shield or higher pickup range.

Also since I like to play games on Itch not in Fullscreen it would be good if you can give the game frame a few pixels more, because of the Unity frame your game it is cutted at the top and the bottom so that I can' t see the score while playing.

Developer

Thank you :)

Indeed the asteroid are released to a 90° angle to follow their inertia. It takes a little bit of use to but i found it more realistic & challenging. :)

I agree for the power-ups. it was in my list of features, but I had to put that aside (along with other few features) because of time limitation. Maybe I'll add that after the jam.

True the display ratio is a bit broken when not in fullscreen. ^^ I'll try to fix it.

Thanks a lot for the feedbacks and for the play :)

A bit hard to play with my azerty keyboard (if you can, make the arrows working too, for guys like me :p).

But! I got the principle and that's a nice idea, that seems to be a pretty difficult game! It already has quite a lot of nice polish that make the game feel already nice. Obvisouly, with more time, there would be more.

I saw it on the discord and was already curious of what it would be, so, yeah, I guess, good idea that fit perfectly the theme!

Developer

Thanks a lot :)

Fair point, I'll add arrow key binding after the jam. :)
I use a azerty keyboard too (so I really got no excuse :p) I usually switch my keyboard localisation to try jam games. It's actually quite easy to do (both on mac & pc) & you can even save several mappings to switch quickly without going through the settings again. (could be usefull to try other games ;) )

Thanks again for giving it a try :)

Yeah I know but I have multiple computer and having multiple keybinding in windows made things weird where one setup changed the other computer (and my wife wasn't happy that tada, your key binding changed, and vice versa!). Maybe there's a solution for that but I didn't bother, just removed the other keyboard types :p.

Oh wow this is a pretty cool game! Challenging yet enjoyable gameplay and gotta love the backstory that you came up for it.  The addition of a combo count really adds to the thrill!
Well done! keep up the good work!

A fun innovative game. I really enjoyed the asteroid ship crushing mechanic.

Fun to play. I like that you implemented a combo mechanic. Although it doesn't seem to yield more points.

Developer(+1)

Thanks ! Glad you had fun with it :)

The combo works as a point multiplier.  first kill : 1 point, second kill : 2 points, third kill : 3 points etc.... But point taken. maybe It need to yield more so that it's more visible and rewarding.

thanks for the feedback :)

Ah now I see it. But I believe there's a bug when you kill enemies too fast: you only score the last amount of points. (So if I kill 3 enemies at once, I only have 3 points)

Developer(+1)

Indeed, that might be possible. I'll try to fix that.

Thanks for the bug report :)

Great concept (and story/setup), takes a while to get used to the core mechanic but it's doable and it's really fun after that.

Presentation is 10/10!

Really cool use of the theme! The best score I got was 45. At first I was just trying to swing and hit the ships but then I learned how to let go of the rocks to slingshot them into the planes and did a lot better. I also liked how the world was infinite (or seemed infinite) so I could escape a sticky situation if I needed too. The one thing I think would've been really cool if there were little tiny stars in the background to give it more of a space feel. Thanks for sharing!

Developer

Thank you :)

There actually are some stars in the background but very small not to distract from the action (maybe too small ^^)

Anyway, thanks for the feedbacks ! Glad you had fun with it :)

Wow! Best game I've played so far in the jam!! Got a high score of 45! I think I would add is more feedback when you get hit, like sound or effects or something, but other tan that. Perfect jam game! Great use of the theme and nice little story to get engaged with. Good job :D

Developer(+1)

Thanks you so much ! Glad you enjoyed it :)

True, it need more feedback on the damages the impact sound turned out to be way too low compared to the rest. I'll try to fix that later. thanks for the feedback :)
