Really the game and its art ! At first, the way the corpse propels you was confusing (felt like it goes the opposite of what I thought) but it's easy to get used to it !
Incredible :) absolutely love the moment to moment gameplay, movement across the levels is great fun, especially from the explosions. And the explosions themselves are wonderful! The blood splatter and the gloriously disgusting sfx really sell the concept.
The checkpoint mechanic is absolutely spot on, and makes death way more forgiving in a way that really encourages experimentation.
The art is great, and remains easily readable with the zoomed out camera.
Thoroughly enjoyed this one :)
Very interesting twist of a known mechanic (using your corpses as platforms), and the game is juicy. Plus, there are so many levels! The last one was rather challenging haha.
The only feedback I have is that the controls are too sensitive, making it hard to aim correctly at times.
The game mechanic forces you to replay the challenges of each level twice (because you respawn on top of the previous corpse), which was a little tricky at first, but very fun to take advantage of at later stages.
Great entry, I had a lot of fun, good job!
Ok, I am completely in love with this game, just 10/10, it was so much fun to die with the visual and sound effects that I spent the whole time expressly killing myself because I didn't care what happened, I just wanted to die. That it didn't have a death limitation was a great success for me, it's just great, I love it, congratulations!
This was really fun! The flow is really nice, the levels became increasingly harder without making it feel unfair or frustrating, really well done for a jam game!
very nice use of the concept haha, overall this feels like a polished platformer nice job
I like how you spawn back at previous corpse, makes it feel less tedious.
Very very fun! Also like the medieval music, it makes the game have a unique feel.
Well well done, art ist nice and concept is well thought!
Wow, such a nice concept, and such a long game, I finished it, and it was not that easy
The things I loved about this game
The things that can be improved
There are much text on the things you can improve but that really mean nothing, it's just it missing some very little tweaks to just be perfect, know it's just a very good game jam entry :)
Amazing art, sound effects, concept AND level design. Everything's great - my ONLY complaint is that the controls are definitely too sensitive and lining up your corpse shots is often difficult, especially in the web version. ignoring that small hiccup, a wonderful game that deserves high ranking!
I was surprised at how many levels you made, really well put together game.
Love the JUICE! Great game.
Really neat game! Good concept and use of the limitation. Keep up the good work!
Love it! The blood and corpse effects are amazing and everything is so juicy! My only comment is to make W the button for exploding corpses AND for jumping. Love the goofiness! :D
The concept is honestly amazing and its very well executed aside from it being a bit hard to aim the explosion.
I love this game's presentation, especially the exploding corpses as well as the overall dying gameplay made just failing, even repetitively, not feel frustrating. Its very lighthearted, while somehow being gory at the same time. The one minor complaint I have is the distinction between the 'W' key and the space key, as a person who normally uses WASD for movement(or WAS in 2d platformers) I kept hitting the wrong button. I understand that it simply takes some time to get used to, but it was a little annoying for me. Anyways, good luck on your submission and I hope you had fun. If you have time, please try out my submission, thank you :DD. -Sincerely, Li-huan Shen
Very goofy concept, and that's 100% a good thing
You executed this simple concept incredibly well. I had a lot of fun shooting the wizard around
