What do you like about your game?
The chill and relaxed gameplay, along with the "satisfying" sense of progression. Also, that I pushed myself out of my comfort zone (pixel-art)

HI, really cool idle game, I found myself playing it more than I really needed to (currently it's 2am for me). This shows what a good job you did during development. As you said in the description, the sense of progression is really satisfying, and it keeps pushing the player to play more and more. The graphics remind me a lot of Cult of the Lamb, which is great, and the sound design is really well done! Overall a solid idle game, you should think about developing it further in the future, it had me really engaged!
Well done again and good luck with the jam, cheers <333
I’m in love with the game. It was relaxing and beautiful. I played in Safari, which worked well with only minor lags after the population grew. It was easy to get into the process, but it became impossible to stop until the objective was completed. The game leaves a distinctive and pleasant aftertaste. And if there were a second level, I would definitely play. But it is already splendid how much you achieved in the scope of the jam!
omg, this was lovely! after going through a string of horror and action games (not to diss on them, they were all really good xd), nothing like chilling out in a resource gathering game with a podcast open and taking in the cozy vibes of it all, really great stuff! as you said, the progression in this game is so satisfying!!! i loved seeing what sort of resource or potential building gets revealed to me after unlocking each tile, theres a sense of curiosity and excitement that comes from it! it was really nicely paced too, didn't feel like i was getting things too fast but also didn't feel like a grind! the aberration identification aspect of it was also nice, it was pretty fun to frantically chase down an disguised aberration when you catch their transformation from the corner of your eye, very fun stuff!
the presentation really ties the comfy atmosphere together! the use of cool colors for the environment and the creatures set in the chill tone immediately! the blend of 2D and 3D assets worked really well here, with both assets individually looking really nice as well as complimenting each other well! the BGM provided a soothing and relaxing melody to listen to while playing around + the sound effects all gave really nice feedback!
overall, very comfy game to go through, i thoroughly enjoyed it! i could see this idea getting expanded with different biomes and resources to explore with the goal of creating different food to eat! great work!
Lovely chill game! Loved the sprites and sounds, sadly you can't eat said bread!
Really enjoyed that - was really addictive gameplay and very well implemented. I spent far too long playing this! lol
Did win in the end - but it was a little confusing about getting close to the aliens in order to find the aberrations. I just waited for them to go in attack mode and then go them (wasn't sure that was the correct way or not...). Also, when making the bread, it wasn't clear that you didn't have enough wheat - the text was really transparent so you could hardly see the message.
Those are minor things though, I really enjoyed playing this and it's a great game.. very addictive to play! Great job...
Thanks for playing, Ian! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Indeed, that's the correct way to find which of them are aberrations in disguise.
Thanks for the feedback on the wheat text, I'll make it more readable after the jam.
I like the art and sense of progression via land unlocking. I like the detail of all the different villager varieties. If I was to change one thing it would be what Hopeful Undertone already said. Good work :)
I liked this one a lot, the little guys have their bread!
Tying the exploration to the resources was a smart idea, immediately makes exploration feel more interesting as you have some agency on what gets unlocked, even if you don't know what'll be, but that makes it even more fun if a new resource is found, a nice gameplay loop.
The art is nice and the blend of 2D and 3D feels cohesive. The aberration part might be the weakest in the sense that most of the time I ignored it and focused on unlocking new areas, maybe some penalty for letting the aberrations attack the little guys could give it more impact in the game.
and a very small nitpick I think the resources could be available to pick up a tad faster, since we see them hit the floor but then have to wait a sec more for the character to pick it up, might feel a bit better if it gets picked as soon as it looks like it can be picked.
"the little guys have their bread!" ^^
Thanks for the feedback. Noted! I should improve the collection of resources. There's a short timer before the resources are "available to pick up", and I should make it shorter or remove the timer entirely.
Thanks for playing
really fun game, usually im not one for cosy games, but this one had me hooked,i needed to get that bread
fanatstic stuff really, you understood the most addicting part of these games, and really elevated it
the lil fellas and the art in general is really cohesive
Aw this was so sweet. You were very successful at creating a cozy game with beautiful art and I love the pacing with the progression here. The aberrations are a nice twist and the whole thing feels like a complete experience so kudos to you. I could play this for hours.
The villagers are absolutely adorable and it made me feel bad when I accidentally hit them haha
Amidst all the horror games of this jam this was really a treat to play all the way through! The level of polish is quite amazing, from the very clean 3d models to the details in the UI, everything just looks like a commercial game already. The gameplay, albeit simple, was still very addictive and I really felt a sense of progression as I was unlocking block after block. Having NPCs sometimes turn into enemies was a great twist on the idle genre and it tied perfectly with the theme. Great choice of music as well. Overall one of my favorite entries in this jam, awesome job!
Thanks Gad! I'm glad you enjoyed it ^^
I do not like clicker/automation games. I like this game. Very cute, very simple! No bugs no fuss, just walk around and grab things while watching your little buddies do the same, then when you least expect it... SPLAT! Great sound design, maybe the resource graphics/icons could be a little bigger?
Incredible take on clickers with resource management! Beautiful aesthetics nicely complement great feeling about this game. I would really love to play it more and to see where it could expand.
Simply addictive, easy to understand and play I got into it super fast, love all the sound design it is very cute!
Thanks! : )
Very addictive, I love it, it's super cute and very very enjoyable. I'd love to see a version where I could build the buildings myself and have more interaction with the friends
Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback. I wish I had more time to expand on character interactions and buildings. Perhaps after the jam :)
A very lovely game!
At first I was not sure what am I doing or why, but it was very enjoyable and cute. And sounds and music are very pleasant. :)
Thanks voidonon ^^
nice
Looved this game! Was satisfying to play and the art is super cute too. My only complaint is that it felt like sometimes the items weren't getting picked up immediately. But great job overall!
Thanks for the feedback!
There's a short delay to make items available for pickup. I definitely should have made it shorter x)
Awesome job. Was fun. Very nice vibe to it too
Are you a Cult Of The Lamb fan? ;) It recalls the cozy mechanics of its camp building without all the stressful hassle of sickness and decay. Besides, reducing action to be present nearby, rather than constantly clicking, makes it less compulsive and allows the used to still "flow" around the map being consequential. Another interesting point I see is that you saved the mouse click for the most meaningful thing you can do, which is building. And because building is embedded within a sort of evolution mechanic (every time you need different materials and depending on what you build you can advance on way or another), you get to imprint the sense of progression that tells the player that he is going somewhere to an end, not wasting time by completing loop tasks.
The are is just amazing, and the sounds are great as well. Overall, I think you got to make a peaceful cute experience ;)
I never played Cult of the Lamb, so I don't know its mechanics. I've seen screenshots and videos, and I admit its 2.5D visuals inspired me :D
I'm glad you enjoyed the game and noticed my choice of mouse vs passive actions for building vs collecting the items.
Thank you for playing and for the comment! :D
I really enjoyed playing cute characters and comfortable songs!
I tend to like collection-based games, and it would be more fun if you prepared the cycle of each resource and various quests accordingly.
Thanks for the feedback!
I wish I had more time to create interactions with characters and make better use of resources. Perhaps after the jam :)
