How does your game represent Mode?
Context Catacombs is a first person dungeon-delver where you can switch between 3D and text-based mode at any time. You can solve puzzles, explore, and loot the dungeon in either mode, but they both have unique advantages!

So cool, as a kid I wanted to be able to actually see the worlds of text-based games like Zork. You totally delivered on that and turned it into a really unique gameplay concept, and a very creative interpretation of the mode theme. Brilliant concept and execution - well done!
Wow this may be my favorite game I've played in this jam. Super creative premise, and so well executed! Puzzle design is good, and I love this. Would love to see this in a full game. Great job, great job. Truly.
This has been my favorite so far. I love the whole idea of it, and the puzzles were tough enough to be satisfying without becoming frustrating.
Love the concept and style of this game. Switching between the two modes is easy and intuitive and adds a layer to the puzzle and exploration elements. The art style is clear and simple but stylized in an appealing way. I really like this project, good job!
Such an original approach to the theme. Also styling was really fitting.
Great work! Really enjoyed the creativity in this. Loved having to imagine it in my head when typing and then getting to see what I was working with visually. Switching between the modes had an interesting dynamic and was quite fun. Amazing job!
this is crazy cool! great stuff, nice use of the theme
This is a great idea and I think you did it justice in your execution. It seems like the goal was for each puzzle to require both modes and I think that basically worked. The lockbox puzzle felt very escape room-like which was fun. I didn't enjoy wandering around in the dark but I can respect that it was a clever way to me to play entirely in text mode for a while and getting to walk back with light later was a cool payoff. Really good job overall!
This was such a cool entry. I loved everything about it, the art-style and the sound complemented the mysterious atmosphere really well. It was also a lot of fun to see how my mental model of the rooms compared to the real things. I also smelled just about everything in the game, which put a big smile on my face.
A lot of fun surprises in this, awesome job!
This is absolutely fantastic, completely brilliant. It took me probably about 30-40 minutes to complete, and I loved it. I took forever to find the first key because I'm dumb, but otherwise I thought difficulty was really tough but fair.
Just awesome 10/10
Super awesome game! I played it all the way through and really liked it. The mechanic of swapping between first person and text is really unique and I like the way it was used for the puzzles. Great work one of my favorites!
I didn't realize that I could go into FPS mode, though once I did it felt really cool to see my actions lined up in the text! Having to use text to crawl through the crevice was really cool. I liked the ideas behind not having light in one room and needing to look at the art, though I did get stumped at the lockbox in the gallery.
VERY cool game! Very creative use of modes, I've never played any game like this before and would love to see this concept expanded into a full game. I think the art style really compliments the text-based portion of the game as well. Unique and fun, you should be proud of yourself!
Fantastic job. :)
I brute forced the gallery puzzle, I think there was an element regarding the paintings that I was missing. And fumbling around in the dark was a little difficult - but, that's the way those text-based adventures go, and being able to see what I had been navigating with my own eyes was so cool.
This is a strong contender for the jam - really looking forward to seeing it played on stream.
this is amazing! i love the visual style and the concept overall is really good.
Wow, very impressive submission. It looks and feels beautiful. I've never played a text-based rpg and felt very compelled to continue this game. The 3D mode is very effective, you really managed to pull a whole lot from this concept. Probably the best game I've played so far; well done!
The idea of having a text based game turn into a 3D world where you can see what the text is saying is such an original idea. I'm surprised there's no other game that has done this. You should definitely work on this game more if you have the time for it.
btw, I got stuck on the first puzzle... :( small brain
Fantastic game! Really clever stuff and mechanics, and switching between text based and first person is such a unique idea! You should definitely expand this into a full steam release, it's so cool!!
Super beautiful art and super good idea, i m a big fan of text based rpg and rpgs in generale you really hit the spot for me with this game, i d love to play like a 10h version of it someday and especially with this artstyle, its a really superb entry Good job dude! Favourite game so far!
