That was awesome visual storytelling! The art and music were both really well done. The game itself was simple but fun

How does your game represent "Power"?
Frock is compelled by the illusion of choice to select the powers that will accompany it through the ascent of a mysterious pyramid. Frock is small, Frock is frail, but through the power of the player, Frock is determined.

The concept is cool and the art is very nice! I was able to cheat the game though because if you just walk to the opposite end of the room you can climb the ladder even if it isn't there. So I didn't need to kill any of the enemies on the floors. I also think I beat the boss (killed the eyeball) but the game didn't end. If it wasn't supposed to then that's fine, just thought I should point that out.
The retro art style is unique, and I especially loved being able to move the character at the start and the sand transition effect. Maybe I chose the wrong skills, but attacking enemies was difficult, and I struggled to progress. Still, the game had a lot of charm, and I found the experience engaging.
I really liked the selections in the beginning defining your playthrough. It was a little on the harder side to clear the floor and progress. With some more polishing on the combat (making attacks of enemies more clear/visibile) it would help a lot, but that is just nitpicking for a gamejam. Overall everything works together really well!
I liked the art and intro sequence a lot, but I wasn't quite sure what the impact of my decisions were (until reading the comments here). I died on the 2nd and 3rd floor after a few tries with the sword, dash, and double jump. I wasn't quite sure what the bottles were doing? they didn't seem to juice my health back up! I think I could have made it further if you got a heart back or healed up every level you ascended

I really like the look of this game, it makes me think of some old DOS title, the gameplay is quite fun despite the different weapons being underwhelming. The presentation was great though, the multiple-choice idea kept it interesting. Good job!
Neat game. I like the different abilities that you can get, I restarted to see them all. Some are for sure better than others. Like the throwing dagger felt like the best weapon and the wall hang felt kinda useless compared to normal jumps. Overall good work, nice pixel art as well.
5 stars for that presentation. literally felt like if journey was on N64. this was beautifully made. and figuring out the enemy patterns to kill them was very enjoyable. one of my current favorites for the jam
Cool game! I think the atmosphere was great and the character designs were very good and the music + sfx suited the game nicely. By means of infinite flight (pressed Z right after Space allowing me to fly upwards for as long as I liked) I was able to skip past sections of the game, which trivialized the experience a bit. But I enjoyed myself none the less! Great work :D
Nice work here! I like the art a lot and think you could maybe make the UI a bit chunkier and bigger to match, but that's just a personal thought. Overall very cool concept!
Intro was really cool, I like the idea of choosing your powers, it gives the game some more replayability to see the different options. I thought the camera was a bit stiff, when I was flying I found it hard to see where I was aiming. With some more time into the core mechanics I could see something really special, there's a lot of potential!
Nice art and cool concept here! I enjoyed playing but the camera could do a little more working. Not sure if others have pointed out here but the camera should be able to see the platform below when the player is jumping really high. Else it would be a blind landing and would not be a good thing if he ended up land on enemies. Other than that, this is a nice game. Cheers!
