I Like the idea, and it was really well executed

Especially the boss fight, its really fun to play, the art is really good as well

I also like the option to edit the character

Submitted

unique idea with the speed being your health. Once in a rhythm the movement and attacking felt pretty solid.

Submitted

Awesome game! loved how health and ammo are attached to the speed stat, and having to maintain that through the fight! Really loved it!

Solid game.

This brings back the nostalgic feel of PS1.

Please rate my game. My first ever game jam submission.

Same here! Love to get feedback for my game Aswell if you're willing!

So cool! I liked the style and atmosphere. It's an interesting game, good job! You're clearly taking the right path!

Nice interpretation of the theme, especially with how you have to use the spinner to reload :) The controls were also pretty easy to get used to!

beyblade let it rip baby

pretty well done!

though one thing, on boss 3 i found the bubble beam attack unavoidable and had to reduce difficulty to normal. difficulty seems to just affect the health?

Cool game! Great design. Interesting choice to have the health and ammo share the same pool.
Well done :D

Game looks and controls great.

The best part of the game is the speed mechanic, having ammo and health share a meter creates a lot of engaging and stressful situations while playing.

Cool concept! I would have liked the screen to resize when you go full screen but anyways it's a good game, the bosses are hard (specially the third one) but it makes me want to keep playing so good, I also like that you can adjust difficulty and the speed mechanic is very cool. Very good overral.

Developer

Thanks a lot for your kind comments, if we go well with the jam I want to adjust some of these things, like screen and camera placement maybe so that its better for everyone. also it makes me happy that you want to keep playing, really, thats awesome!!

I like the mechanic to reload the speed by spinning (also feel really good when you have barely no speed anymore, and you reload, it's like in beyblade or some advertise in 2000's). Bosses are fine but maybe too hard, I had a long time on the game before beating the boss 2, then abd for the boss 3 as I got instantly shoted twice xD

Otherwise, LowPoly family ! Good job on this one.

Developer

Thanks a lot for your comments, Im glad you like overal, yes I know bosses could be easier to beat, or maybe make it easier with normal difficulty. Also yes third boss indeed is the hardest haha. If this goes well in the jam i will fix/tweak these things and make it better

I liked the idea of using the health as your speed, and the decision making between either having to recharge or to shoot the bullets!

I think the game would benefit if we could somehow control the camera to become a little far away from the player, as it was a little difficulty to manage it the way it is.

Nonetheless, I liked how each boss is unique, and being an beyblade-themed game definitely has a charm! Great game

Developer

Thanks a lot for your kind comment, indeed in the process of making I had to take several decissions and I was just trying my best to make it fun. If this goes well in the jam I will adjust what you suggested in relation to camera and other facts hopefully make it better

Submitted(+1)

Really interesting art style! I also liked how you had to balance between keeping speed and charging. I also really like how you were able to have such big bosses it added to the game quite a lot. Congratulations!

Developer

Thanks a lot for your comments!! Im glad you like, indeed I tried my best with the bosses making them varied and challenging, also did my best with the mechanics so that its fun to play but not too easy or too hard, I hope it goes well in the jam and it

I like beyblade games so I liked the concept of this too! I had to change from difficult to normal to beat the third boss because of his white laser attack, I don't know if it is possible to dodge it. I stood on the a platform to recharge and kept shooting so I had "infinite ammo" while the boss didn't destroy it, this is intended? I think the camera is too close too, maybe a bit farther would be better and adding some kind of sound or indicator to tell if a boss is going to attack would be a good addition. With a lot more polish and more bosses I would replay this for sure :)

Developer

Thanks a lot for your comments, Im glad you like. Indeed the cahrging platform can provide a lot of energy until its destroyed. And also yes i have heard that the third boss white laser is hard to dodge. If this goes well in the jam i will make this a complete game gor sure.

Great game! I really like the graphics, but unfortunately I suck and I died a bunch on normal difficulty :(

Developer

Thanks a lot for your comment, indeed i know it can be still hard, if this goes well after the jam we will balance things and make it better and more enjoyable

Submitted(+1)

The style of this game feels very much like a game that beyblade would make, not just cause of the spinning top but also the graphics, I wish that you took less damage when hit cause then going up close and doing melee damage would also feel balanced.

Fun concept!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot for your comments!! indeed I know what you mean, these things I Was balancing them all the time, i should make this more enjoyable after jam if result in the jam is good and game is completed

Submitted(+1)

I liked the balance between needing to keep yourself spinning, and the chargers moving in and out of action. It meant I had to manage where I was well which was a nice mechanic. Unless I was just not very good or missing a mechanic, I found the first boss quite spongy. I think this is a good spin on the spinning top style game. The ability to customise the top is also a very nice addition for this.

Developer

Thanks a lot for appreciating all this, indeed this is the mechanic i wanted to have as core element and trully your strategy is good, to always know where you are quite well. And yes, Im glad you like the customization editor, I always think we should offer this to allow the player to have a more personal experience

Submitted(+1)

Cool idea and the tops look pretty cool. I do wish i was doing more beyblade stuff instead of just shooting from a distance. Melee seemed far too risky with the bosses attack patterns. Also the recharge mechanic made me feel way to vulnerable for too long but using my health to shoot means i need to constantly be finding the chargers.

Developer

Thanks a lot for your comments, indeed one has to keep an eye on the rechargers to be able to defeat bosses, I thought this way people will have a better time and higher challenge, but yes, i will see how i can tune this after voting time is over if results are good in the jam

Submitted(+1)

I'm impressed you managed to make a 3d project in such a short time! But that bring new problems like camera feels too close to the player and I can't see all the action happening very well. Thankfully, most of the attacks come from bosses themselvs so it is main focus for most of the time.

Developer

Thank you for your kind comments, indeed I worked hard on this, Im glad this can be seen. Also yes, I see what you mean, camera may be close but at same time we need only to focus on boss most of time. If jam goes well I will expand the project and see what is needed to be improved
