Didn’t get far because there are still so many games to try out. The bird got me by just flying over. Must be one heck of a bird poop. Had to figure how to aim at first, didn’t realize it was locked in once you click. Nice entry!
You lose when the monsters pass through after your daughter not when then touch you :)
The locked aim is changed in the updated version that will be released after the jam end as well as other things!

Nice work! I like the aiming mechanism and the visuals. I didn't get very far because I'm not good at timed games, but I can imagine that it could get very addicting!

Very good! Starts a bit slow but quickly gets intense. Made it to wave 7.
Most games here(including mine) just put the story text in the menu but you animated your story and it looks great.

I really liked the art and animation, but I found the game a little repetitive, I think introducing a bit more variety earlier on might help. I see from other comments that you have some ideas for this already to tweak after the jam, so best of luck!
Yeah, this is absolutely right! I already fixed this in the new update that will be released after end of jam. The game has multiple endings though, starting from wave 4 :)

I really enjoyed playing it! I appreciated the inclusion of the new enemy from wave 2, which changes the game dynamics a bit. One thing that bothered me a little was the fact that I couldn't change the launch direction while charging.
I appreciated the choice of music and sfx, however the music at the beginning is way too loud, I got quite scared I must admit haha.

Thank you so much! there is other enemy appearing after though and also the game has multiple endings :) The changing of direction while charging might be a good idea even though it was the case at first and I changed it to make the game more challenging, but this will be taken in count in the next update, so stay tooned ^.^

Very nicely done. All art created yourself, that is amazing. Love the new enemy types. Unfortunately, I got a bit bored after a while, but the entry is a strong one!

You feeling bored after a while is very reasonable since the waves take so long and the difficulty progression is so slow! This is fixed in the game update with even more features, it will be released after 2 days, I hope you give the game another chance then :)

Nice work, I really like the artwork you made :) I might suggest allowing the player to keep aiming even while a shot is charging, it actually took me a little bit to realize that the trajectory was locked in place once I started charging. Fun stuff though!

I like the art on this. Even the reloading had its own sprite-sheet of the hero rummaging for rocks. The narrative was good too, and the option to skip dialogue was a nice touch.
The gameplay for me was slightly lacking. The levels dragged on a tad too long. For example in lvl 1, the wolves were coming from the same spot and there was no real need to change the trajectory of the shot after getting it right once, resulting in a wait-out-the-clock situation. As mentioned by others, either a more dynamic level or shorter levels would be better at holding attention.
But overall, solid entry
This is absolutly right! In the game update the waves last only 30 seconds which makes the game faster 4 times! It will be released after the end of ratings :)

The sprite work looks great, especially the main character! I also really like the music. I think slightly shorter waves might have made it keep my attention a bit better---I liked aiming for the bird enemies a lot but after dying on the second wave I didn't really want to redo the first one. All in all though, excellent work!!!

You could work more on animations. Grass floating on the wind looks ok, reloding animtion too, but wolf running is not working out. I know that running and walking animation cycles are something hard to learn but it's worth it. You can give big amount of personality to your characters by them, for example you could give father little limping effect while running which would add some dramaturgy to the situation. After all, you've made an fun game with intresting theme and I really like it! Great job!
I totally agree for wolf running since I wasn't satisfied with the result as well, and I didn't want to waste more time since I didn't find a good reference. But I will make sure to edit the animation in the next version since I would have some spare time :) I love your other suggestion as well, it is very important to give personality and different dimentions to characters in story telling!

I forgot to say i also like your faceoff title screen with the hero and different animals you will face. Nicely done!
Your art is nice and concept is done quite well. I liked you rock throwing physics for throwing into air and then landing on other animals if you missed the birds. Good job looks both nice and is fun so you suceeded on both goals for a game.

well, this is how it is supposed to be, the arrow always looks at the mouse and you throw the rock with some power, but it will not reach the mouse because of gravity power, that is what makes it challenging!

I think the game changes the menu track when you go to the settings, and that track's volume is lower than the main menu's music, this makes it hard to gauge the correct sound level. Still, I'd say that even setting them to the bare minimum the slider allows without being 0, is still way too high. My system audio is at 30, this means that what people usually use (100) in the device's audio volume settings, would sound with more than triple the strenght.
The game is neat, it plays smoothly, and the art style and presentation is on point, but i seriously encourage you to address the volume levels and related settings of the game.
