Its a cool idea! It could be turned into a great puzzle game. Only downside was that I didn't have enough time to read the instructions before it disappeared.. :P
I really liked this game a lot. Very clever and unique mechanics. One small quibble, it's possible to move platforms into positions that you can't get them back from - suddenly making progression impossible (although I don't know how you would stop that). Still, this was a great game - one of my favorites.
The instructions with the magnet disappeared before i could read them but i did read them in the description, the magnetic ability was awesome, and the dashing and movements work really well. Good job!
Well done!
This was fun! I really like the magnet mechanics it adds a lot to the game over basic platforming. Also I like the secret speedrun tech to finish the game in like 20 seconds haha. I did hit a softlock with the purple ball getting stuck on the ground and not being able to respawn it, but it's close to the start so not a huge deal to get back there. Great job on this!
Nice idea, and I loved the gameplay, really cool
Very interesting idea. It was fun messing with the platforms and using them to with other things in the environment to solve puzzles. Very fun!
Cool game with lots of interesting mechanics. Controlling the magnetic platforms was tricky at first, but become a lot of fun. I see much potential in this if developed further.
Nice job, it is actually really fun, I loved the simplicity and the graphics, art design top marks, I would suggest having a skill tree to improve the jumping, in order to assist in those jumps, but nice one!
that was awesome. I really liked the core mechanic and I think you've got the art of slowly building difficulty down pretty well. I think some careful adjustments would improve it, like having a little raised floor that stops the ball in the ball puzzle, or maybe have the ball stop when it reaches a really really low speed, because I got hung up on that puzzle (a puzzle which i thought was really cool and well-designed, by the way), but I got hung up simply on praying for the ball to stop when otherwise I felt I had solved it. If that makes sense.
but yes stick with this core mechanic or reuse in future games, because it's a winner for sure
Was fun playing this on stream! Really unique mechanic. The idea of pushing and pulling the environment is really cool.
I would like to see in game text up on screen a touch longer. It was disappearing before I really had a chance to read it.
Also, I didn't catch on stream, but on my second playthrough. But dang, I love your typography choices... Nice work, dude.
Great game, although a bit difficult for me. Similar to HalfSmore, I felt the game introduced mechanics too quickly. Honestly, I felt pretty confused. Although, that's not the point of the task, so I still gave you a great score because I see the potential and the mechanics were implemented well. The gameplay was still fun, anyway. Cheers!
Fun game! The visuals were simple but could have been a little bit cleaner (for example some of the red was different shades). I'd also recommend reducing the amount of different colors. For example, black is clearly a platform and red is clearly death but one room in particular I walked in and now there's a lot more stuff introduced at once (even though the mechanics are mostly the same) which was kind of overwhelming. Speedrunning was fun and the controls felt nice. I'd recommend using a color palette (like from lospec) just to give it a bit more cohesiveness visually, and it's a very small change that can be very impactful. The UI was also just at random points in my screen which was a little bit odd. Hope you make it to the next round as I'm really excited to see where this goes!
*Of course I'm kind of picking at the art but that's just because it feels so close to being really clean and polished and I have a hunch the next round will be visual (;
thank you for posting that review , i will try to make my visuals more coherent using your advices (and thanks for making me discover lospec , i didn't know this website and now i will definitely use it for my future projects )
Fun game! The visuals and controls are clean and overall it's pretty fun! Seems like a fun speedrun game too, maybe leaning in to that concept could make it even better.
pretty fun game with a pretty cool concept. i was able to win it in 25 seconds though by flying over the top of the map using the magnet board thing.
