This actually has a very creative control scheme! Amazingly fluid as well! It's unfortunate that there is a bug where enemies stop spawning, but the little bit I played was enough to showcase the potential of this game. Keep it up!

Very fun puzzles, and very unique concept for a platformer! I also love the art style, it's simple and cute. The gameplay kinda reminds me of some odd mobile games I would find on the app store. Not a bad thing, though. Gameplay mechanics were implemented beautifully. Not much else to say, you killed it!
The gameplay is quite unique and engaging. The auto-battling function might cause you to panic at first, but that only leads to your quick demise. Taking it slow and thinking about your actions is the way to go. I also like the feel of placing the cards, you did nice on that front. Keep it up, would love to see this game continued!
Overall great game, I love the aesthetics, music, and gameplay. It's really fun to move around and dodge all of the obstacles and the moving platforms. One criticism I do have is that the movement feels a bit slow and the combat is finnicky, but it's not that big of a deal in the long run. I recommend searching how input buffering works in video games. Still, I would love to see your ideas expanded on.

Cute game! The controls are quite difficult at first, especially with how punishing the game is with mistakes. The art style is also lovely. Although, as much as I love your game, I don't feel like the jumping and croaking harmonize to advance the player. I'm not sure if this is true, but it feels like the frog friend and the herons don't actually spawn until you croak. The two mechanics are required individually, but they don't feel like they're working together. That being said, your game is still great, and I apologize if I get anything wrong. I apologize for being a bit blunt with my criticism, by the way ^^;
We all have to start somewhere. It might be difficult to get a good score in (or even submit something you're proud of to) your first few game jams. That's certainly how it was for me, I've joined many a jam I never ended up sumbitting to, lol. The game I made for this jam was the first I felt truly proud of. But once you get the hang of game dev, it is very rewarding. I would also suggest joining a jam's Discord server if it has one, I don't think I would have made it if it wasn't for the people in the GDKO community. My final suggestion is to never be afraid to learn. Each jam you join, each game you make, is an opportunity to learn about not just your engine, but other aspects of game development, as well as time management and other general skills. Keep going, I see potential in you.
Great game, although a bit difficult for me. Similar to HalfSmore, I felt the game introduced mechanics too quickly. Honestly, I felt pretty confused. Although, that's not the point of the task, so I still gave you a great score because I see the potential and the mechanics were implemented well. The gameplay was still fun, anyway. Cheers!
Lovely game. One of the nicest I've seen so far. The mechanics work very well together to create tough puzzles that make you think. I also like the effort that you put into setting the game's atmosphere with the art, ambient sound, and music. I would love to see more puzzles out of you! Solid all around, great work.
Cool game! Neat twist on the calculator game. You not only have to calculate a number with limited options, you also have to solve an equation yourself by keying in the number with no help from said calculator. Love the art, too! I see the potential in this idea, it could even be a Steam game, possibly! No negative things to say. Will be sending to my math nerd friend.
Amazing game! The shooting is very fluid, and the upgrade system is a nice touch. The game is a little challenging, but I like hard games. I can't think of a single negative thing to say about it. If this is what you can make in a few weeks, I would love to see what you can come up with in a few months!
Duck!
Anyways, I love your submission overall. It's a very cute idea! I also loved the various messages you hid around the game. One critique I have is that it was still very easy to find the wood pieces scattered around the sea without the flashlight mechanic, and I didn't really end up using it. But other than that, great game! I would love to see this expanded upon.
I want to preface this by saying I love the idea you have going here. Capturing objects into pictures and using them later to solve puzzles is a brilliant concept for a game. However, I don't think the game encapsulates the mechanics you described. Don't get me wrong, the mechanics are certainly there, it just doesn't feel like I'm taking a photo, rather just picking the objects up. What I would have done is made the mouse the camera, putting an outline around it that acts as the "frame" of the photo, then using left click to collect the objects, rather than simply walking up to the objects and pressing a button. Again, I love the idea you have, I just would have implemented the mechanics differently if I were you.
Very lovely game! It fully flaunts its minimalistic art style, putting the game at the core of the experience. However, this game demonstrates that minimalist graphics aren't bad, by using parallax stars, particles, screen shake, and a trail behind the player to give a certain weight behind your throws and explosions. Keep it up in round 2!
