How does your game fit the theme?
The game combines both musical and physical scaling. Players must collect music notes in a specific order, with each note affecting their size—comparing with the last note a player collects/starting pitch, higher notes scale the player up, while lower notes shrink them. The challenge lies in navigating both the music scale and the physical scale to match the player's size with the final door. In the last level, I also introduce a weight scale mechanic, but I couldn't fully explore it due to time constraints, as this is my first game beyond tutorials.

This is a really cool idea for a puzzle game! If you work on the game after the jam, it might be nice to have a few more easy early levels to help the player understand how the game works. I would love to see how this looks after some polish and playtesting, but I think you did a great job showing the potential of the core concept!
Hah knowing the intended solution I def made the wrong assumption that the levels were already too easy! Will def think of ways to introduce the mechanics more in my post-jam iterations! Thank you for playing :)
Fantastic idea for a game! I thought you had some really cool ideas going and definitely one of the unique projects I've seen for built to scale. Love it.
Thank you for playing and glad you enjoyed it!
The aesthetic is gorgeous, and I really like the idea! This could be a really fun game fleshed out. The only thing is that like others have said - the player movement needs a bit of work. It feels too slippery and not as responsive as I would've liked, but if you adjust it so it feels really satisfying this idea could be really fun!
Thank you for playing!
This is a really cool mechanic. The movement was very slippery and so it was sometimes hard to judge jumps, plus the music didn't always seem to play when pressing P but other than that the game was very polished. The aesthetic is great and the puzzles were never too challenging to become frustrating.
Well done for getting this completed as your first project you made a great game.
(edit: spelling)
Thank you for playing! I'm looking forward to fixing those controlling issues post game and sharing it here :D
I enjoyed the light-infused colors! Well made.
Thank you!
Movement is too slippery, but these puzzles are clever! Very cool sound design indeed
Thank you! I'm looking forward to fixing it post-jam and sharing the update here!
Combining music with a puzzle platformer is very creative. The art style looks great too. The character is a bit slippery, as you mentioned, but overall, it's a good game.
Thank you for playing!
Great look, love the bloom and the general feel. The character as you mentioned was a bit hard to control, but the application of music always tickles the right part of my brain. Thanks :D
Thank you for playing! I love hearing that you enjoy that part of the game!
Love the visual style but I am awful at differentiating notes so this is incredibly difficult for me! Also the character is very floaty in movement and you can overshoot easily.
Fantastic work! I'm glad to see creative things like this in the jam!
Thank you for playing!
I think there definitely is an opportunity to include more levels that utilizes the tone difference in the music notes As a way to scale the difficulty of the game!
Fun concept, I like the visual style too
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it
Interesting game. controls could use some work but a fine game especially for being your first and there were a few times I was the correct size and but I wasn't allowed to interact with the exit because I guess it is looking for a specific sequence of notes
Thanks for playing! Im still trying to figure what night be causing that bc the game isn't coded to check for a specific melody. Which level did you get stuck on and do you remember if the number of notes collected matched filled the meter on the bottom left?
sorry I can't remember played too many game jam games since then but I'll play it a bit later to see if I can recreate it
Very interesting take on the theme! Admittedly I'm a bit confuse by the changing of other notes after collecting some of them. I think mousing over the pitch will provide hints as to what the notes would change into? But I'm tone death xD
Thanks for playing! I built a feature to reveal the note names but it was buggy so I had to take it out :( I might add it back in a post game build though!
A truly original game! Interesting idea to interpret the jam theme in a musical key.
The only suggestion would be to make the character's movements less 'slippery'. But it's quite understandable that you couldn't think of everything in such a short time. Really good work!
Haha tbh that was the elephant in the room I couldn't stop seeing for those four days! Thank you for playing!
Don't worry! from a game jam perspective, you still did a great job :D
Keep up the good work!
Love the style here! Really beautiful and smooth.
Glad you like it! Thanks for the kind words
I don’t have the ear to really appreciate the full effect of this game, but I love the chill vibe it has. Knowing that there’s a specific melody to beat a level, maybe have a hint note if you built the wrong melody but got to the door. Like a bubble over Note <X> that shows it should be C#?
Thank you for playing! The game was intended to take multiple solutions for each level but I borked that feature towards the end of the game accidentally :/
It’s the curse of Game Jams (and software development). The moment you release something, you’ll think of the all the thing(s) you missed
Awesome style and a cool take on the theme! I really enjoyed it. Like you said, the character is quite slippy and I got the bug for multiple solutions haha, but overall great job :D
It's super nice, especially the graphics, too bad the controls are buggy. great job!
like the style a lot. sad that the controls are buggy :(
One thing that stood out to me the most as a visual designer is, of course, the absolutely beautiful art direction! I love the modern yet retro-esque touch to it, with neon but still so easy to the eyes. Not a good musician myself, but incorporating platforming, scaling, and music scale is a good idea. Good job for the game!
Wow! Creative and cute, with incredible audio! Great Job with the Jam, kudos to your team.
