Wow I really didn't expect that amount of content in a project made in a little more than a week. The writing is so funny and the sound effects are hilarious. All the characters have so much personality. You guys did an amazing job.

What an awesome entry, so much content in so little time! There were some really funny jokes and original stuff all over, the jazz band's playing got me laughing so much (although I never found the third one and never could truely experience the real gig!) Oh well at least I got 38 rocks and most quests complete! Amazing game :D

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much for playing, glad you enjoyed!

An insane adventure and so full on content. I wanted to keep on playing to see what next crazy thing would happen. It's great how all these threads start and they keep progressing and progressing, great work. The voices of the insects and the human was a nice touch.

I was playing for ages but I accidentally got stuck. I wasn't trying to break the game or anything but I jumped into the basket ball hoop in the ant nest lower tunnels. I thought there might be a funny easter egg or something, oops. I wont mark this down at all because there are so many positives that outweigh this.

Awesome work.

Developer

Thanks for playing! We had a lot of fun setting up all of the quest lines and having different interactions with them. I was very happy with doing the human-bug voice lines!

There is some different pieces of geometry that it is possible to get stuck on/in, the graveyard fence being the largest culprit(ironically?). We forgot to add it to the itch page, but there actually is a save feature in the game where you can create a save file from the menu, and then reload with your progress back into the hub world.

Thanks you so much for playing, glad you enjoyed our game!

Mhm, yes, mhm, great game, yes.  Love the story, the writing was excellent.  Little details like the teens not using punctuation or capitalization cap it off.  Kind of reminded me of Chibi-Robo! with its scale and absurd characters.  As a human currently looking for a job, I found it quite relatable.  Thanks for making this game!

Developer

Mhmmm... yes... Thank you for playing! Mhmm...

I did contribute to the dialogue, but the majority of some of the dialogue was written by @aardvarkio. You can thank him for those super radical teen ants!

Thank you for saying it is like Chibi-Robo! I wasn't even thinking about it when making this, but that is one of my favorite games of all time!

Squirrel: I don't know how I've spent I,5 hour collecting pebbles :) Awesome story, well executed, pulls you in. In the end I didn't even mind the textures. What I miss is a clear ending, because I'm not sure if I have completed everything or if there was anything else left to do.

Radish: amazing amount of funny content, this is the game we've spent the most time of all other entries. In my case I was just watching from far away because of my personal problem which is motion sickness with 3d games unfortunately ;(. Still, I can't believe you guys were able to create so much quality content in mere 1 week! Great achievement!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing and watching! I'm glad you enjoyed all of our dialogue and funny jokes!

Missing the clear ending is a fully valid criticism, even just a UI element that shows quests complete or pebble completion % would have gone a long way!

Yay, another Kafkaesque game! :)

Haha, very funny! :D The voice-acting was especially good - I laughed at that "uh-hum-yes" when talking to bugs :D Great idea and story/writing/conceptualization!

A minor bug - I got stuck in the fence when I tried to jump over it, which pretty much forced me to start over.

Developer(+1)

Kafka is a perfect inspiration in a Metamorphosis theme! Thanks for playing glad you enjoyed it and the voice acting!

That fence is an absolute killer, so many people have gotten stuck in it. Hopefully it didn't set you too far back in progress. We forgot to write it to the game page, but there is a save function that let's you save your progress and reload back into the main world.

Super unique! I love a bizarre concept and this really does the job!

Really fun and an insane amount of work for just a jam!

Developer

Thank you for playing! We were happy with going bizarre and weird and since we were able to build the framework in the first couple of days we spent most of the jam just filling it with more content!

I knew playing exuberant amounts of dice poker in Witcher 2 would come in handy one day. Manny the Mantis didn't have a chance. Absolute 10/10 game.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! @aardvarkio built out the dice game and it was one of the very first things we put in!

Submitted(+2)

This is the funniest game in the jam. Keep up the great work!

Developer

You're gonna make us blush! Thank you for playing!

Great game. Love the sound effects and voice acting. Funny dialogue and game. Good stuff!

Developer

Hmmm yes.. Hmmm! Thank you so much, we had a lot of fun writing the dialogue!

This game kept me laughing from start to finish! I love the dramatic and nonsense narrative, which is perfectly matched by such funny graphics. This tiny world feels alive and with lots of fun things to do, many congrats to the team!! :D

SPOILER: (the best bit is clearly when the wasp gets mad because the card got creased hahaha)

Developer

Glad you liked that scene, that was @mrdryeratnight's work and he was super happy with how it turned out. I thought that scene was hilarious

Submitted(+2)

At first, I wanted to ask you how you got such graphics, but then I remembered that I had recently mastered it myself for jam XD

Submitted(+2)

I think I 100%ed it, such a blast! My favorite part was all the cool little rewards you could get, the tasks weren't just blank objectives over and over. Super great game considering the time frame for making it.

Developer

I love to hear it! Thank you for playing! We had a lot of fun with the emotes and quest rewards and in a lot of cases we worked backwards from making those and then figuring out what quest we should write to reward it!

lol funny

i love my smoking hot wife! how you did this in a week is crazy

Developer

Delilah is a sweetheart <3! We had established a framework/core mechanics within the first 2 days after that we had an entire week to write dialogue and make content!

Submitted(+2)

This game is weird and that's amazing, lot of stuff to do, narration is fun and voice acting amazing. Awesome game

Developer

Hmm yes! Thank you so much, we had a lot of fun being goofy and weird, and just making whatever we thought was funny in the moment.

i love my smoking wife!! also when i went to the pizza i thought it was flesh and i was horrified! the i picked up a pepperoni and i was delighted :D ! awesome game 10/10

Developer(+1)

Delilah is an absolute treasure, she's the whole package!  Thank you for playing, the fleshiness of the pizza was not intentional!
