Nice surreal game vibe! The style and atmosphere were unique, and the use of the color palette was well done in this style.
Unfortunately, I didn鈥檛 hear any sound or SFX. Adding those could greatly enhance the ambiance and really draw players into the game.
Maybe a bit short but it shows the potential.
A great visual prototype with potential for future updates—well done! 馃槉
I loved the idea of two parallel realities existing simultaneously. The visuals are amazing and really create an atmosphere.
I hope you will add more content!
I really like the visuals of this game, it鈥檚 a pity that the game didn鈥檛 have time to open up in such a short period of time with only 3 levels
The visuals here are amazing, what a great game and weird to be honest, love thee xperience and wha a game, really good entry.
The visuals are amazing! They really transmit the eerieness of being in a weird place, like somewhere that should not be but is. I really missed some music and I would have loved more levels ^^
I love graphics with the color light shade. It word me nice to have music of SF.
Great visuals, you managed to create a really interesting atmosphere.
I don't know if it is just on my end, but I didn't hear any sounds. It is a shame, cause given your strong visual atmosphere, a bit of sound could create a really immersive experience.
That said, this felt more like a proof of concept of the main mechanic than an actual game. If you add more content you can create something really interesting with this idea. I will keep an eye open on what you will make next, cause I can see great games coming your way :)
Very surreal "game" i like how you have used the color pallete, as mentioned before me if sometimes it was a bit shocky, but this are especially the games i love gamejams for as you would normally not see something like this but is a great experience
More of a tech demo than a game, so my comments are mostly in terms of aesthetic. This looks really nice! Especially the creepy cover. The third level in particular makes me feel like I'm in a lucid dream. I might recommend an option to cap it at 60 FPS because it kept jittering between 70 to 120 FPS for me.
Not going to be too harsh on the gameplay or anything, but I did make the box infinitely tumble twice somehow. Also regarding the theme, reality shifting seems unique for this jam from what I've played so far. I look forward to a full release.
Thanks for the feedback. I'm really glad you appreciated this experiment. Why don't you have an FPS limit? As I understand, browsers have their own vsync that needs to be disabled to remove the FPS limit. Which browser are you using?
Impressive to make such a visually interesting aesthetic for a 3D game using such a limited palette. The mouse was drifting to the right most of the time. Interested to see how this progresses if you continue working on it.
looks pretty sick but theres not a lot to it
coolest looking game I've seen in the jam by far!
One thing I noticed I experienced if you're planning on working on this more - in the third level, depending on where you're standing when the stairs spawn the player can get stuck. This happened to me and I had to restart the level.
Otherwise very cool, especially given the time frame!
Nice! I like the strict interpretation of the color palette limit with the custom shaders and such! I did the same and even managed to get custom lighting to work with it.
Definitely the coolest looking game I've seen so far! I'm always a huge fan of weird 3D games so I loved this. I am curious did you use a shader to restrict the color palette or was everything textured like that?
Thanks for appreciating the visuals! I used a shader that limits the palette and arranges colors in my desired order, depending on the lighting. In the first scene, for example, the circle is a light source + outline, and I used shaders on materials for dissolve and appear effects + fire in the last scene with the portal. Basically, it's a demo showcasing these effects) though that wasn't my original intention.
They look sick so well done! Starting to think I really need to crack down on learning shaders
Love the visuals, big fan of color crushed 3D, came together beautifully. Gameplay was a bit barebones, and I may have broken the second puzzle since I couldn't figure out how to place the box after picking it up. Also had some mouse drift, and accidentally hit the level select button a couple of times, which was very confusing. Recorded my experience, video here!
Thanks for the feedback and checking out the game in Firefox! Oops - just realized I uploaded it with messed up yin-yang positions, so everyone can speedrun it now 馃槄 My bad!
Lmao, happens to the best of us
Super cool, trippy effect with the palette in 3D! I also love the cover image. The gameplay could be expanded some, but if this is viewed more as a virtual art project, I love it. Sound design would add to the ambiance, as well as some web optimization for better FPS. Nice work!
"Hey hon, Eternal Dance abstract virtual art museum just dropped"
Jokes aside the two perspectives is very abstract, which I see as both a pro and a con. As an art, I see beauty in it, but I can see how it can also be unclear. However, the art direction was peak. I had fun figuring out how to advance, kinda like those 100 floor puzzle mobile games. Give it some ethereal music and I could see myself genuinely seeing this as an exhibit. Tourist attraction / 10
This one has great potential. I love the shader work on it. I had some trouble understand first what I am supposed to do and also the controls confused me.
If you move the level selection from E to esc for example and do the pickup with e instead the game would feel so much more natural.
But I like the artstyle. This is something special. And please add sound =)
Thank you for the feedback. I couldn't keep track of all these issues during development. I spent a lot of time on shaders and their behavior. For next time, I need to set up a task management system and spend more time on gameplay.
