Great game! Wouldn't have minded some checkpoints tho

Soo cool! It's a good idea and a great rage game :)

Well done! :D

Great rage game :) To keep my sanity I had to find another way to beat it. I ended up pushing into the left wall, waiting to be pushed out and then jumping and pushing left again to get on top of the next block in the wall, and climbing up all the way like that.

Very fun, but very tricky! I do think it's a little slippery, but that does add to the challenge of it. More levels in the future could be very fun to see.

Very cool idea :)

I did find the landing a bit slippy for this type of platformer but, that aside, still a good time. Well done!

I liked the mechanics a lot. I feel like they could use a bit more visual feedback (the bars are helpful but aren't particularly fun to look at, versus more elaborate player animation). However, your level building was great and progressed in difficulty the perfect amount. I enjoyed the tough deceleration and heavy feel of the droid. Very solid entry!

Why is everyone trying to make me rage during this jam? Would love to see some check points or easy mode for people like me not good at platformers. Fits the task well for the jam well. Great job!

Submitted

Tough but fun to play - nice one. You definitely succeeded with your aim of inducing rage, but also satisfaction ;)

Wish I could slow down a bit better :D I did notice a small bug that can be exploited, you can climb the big wall on the left to go all the way up, as the character clips on the "floor" of each wall block, allowing you to jump out of the block to the one above, if you wiggle at the right moment

Tough game because of how much the bot slid. The jump and hover mechanics were great and it was fun getting to the door at the top.

This is another game that was really fun, but I was terrible at it.  I really liked the mechanics and how the jump and hover could work together.  Also, not a big thing, but I love the robot logo on your start screen.  Really well done game!

Submitted

I liked it, however, I fell down on the last jump

Do you not understand the anger, I was feeling right there? Don't worry, I did fill the vote accordingly to my brain

But I found it cool the game,

Got pretty far with my first try but had to rage quit after falling all the way down :') The hovering is just right amoung ot annoying, good level design also. Well done.

I really enjoyed playing thru this game. It does a good job of being a rage game without being crazy frustrating thanks to the hover mechanic. I think the controls are a bit slippery in terms of turning around or slowing yourself down when coming down from a hover, but maybe that's by design for the rage game. Great job on this it's a lot of fun!

Submitted

Really fun, also not much of a rage game since the boosters give you a sense of control yet it keeps it hard. Solid execution!

Developer(+1)

Glad you enjoyed it. Yeah that's how I felt about the boosters as a secondary mechanic, they are there to give the player a helping hand. I think without them it really would be too frustrating!

Great mechanic, I see the potential to induce rage among those who progress far and have to restart (me included), but the sense of accomplishment is satisfying.

Developer

Your anger makes you even more powerful... I do get a small kick out of the idea that people are getting enraged by the little droid. Thanks for playing :)

Cool mechanic. Allows for traversal and there are lots of opportunities to allow for even more progression via upgrades and stuff. It's tough! I got to the 3rd elevator platform a few times but just kept falling off :D

Well done!

Developer

That is a bit of a troll elevator :) There was alot I wanted to get into the game that I couldn't due to the time limit. Hopefully I make it through to the next round. Thanks for playing!

Great game overall! Didn't get very far, but it didn't take that much to see the potential. Gameplay feels good for the most part, but you need to spare a bit of patience. Not much else to say, keep up the good work!

The idea for the game was a 2D version of Only Up. I wanted it to feel a little frustrating at first, and there is a bit of a learning curve. Once you get to grips with the movement it does start to feel a lot better. At least it does for me. Thanks for playing my game :)

Hover was really tricky, but the resultant rage upon messing up made for a great sense of progression :)
